Maglevs are a bit more complex

You have to take into account that there are 2 types of magnets needed for maglev.

Levitation magnets, which are intended to reduce friction

And propulsion magnets, which push the maglev forward

On practice tho, Maglev tend to have wheels, but they are retractable and their role is to allow the train to move at low speed until the speed is high enough to rely on magnets.

It’s a bit more complex than that and I am far from a train engineer but it should be enough to understand.
