Dude, most plugins aren't bigger than 4x4, which hardly requires special tools. Graphic drawing tables aren't really expensive here either, but I would recommend you getting used to plugin making before acquiring specific hardware.

Depends on what you intend to do . For normal houses , buildings , I usually go 7 or 8 pixel tall for the floor depending on how much detailing and shaping I need for the windows .
