Hello everyone. I made this deck but would like some opinions on what might work and what might not.
The intention is to use the spirits sent to the graveyard with the addition of Canids that can go well together.
Obviously it's just a deck for fun but I'd like to know if it can be improved and in what way.

People used to run GP spirits with exactly 4 canines: Nine-Tailed Vixen and 3x Canine Handler to find it. If you add more canines, that can still work, but I do think Canine Handler is an obvious inclusion in that deck.

#

Not sure about War Documentarian. It doesn't trigger all that often I don't think.

#

The B splash for Valhalla could be amazing, if you can find enough B gems to cast it. I'm not sure this deck finds enough B gems. I'd definitely add more B cards like 2x K-nine for starters. That's also a good idea to have a better chance of being able to play it turn 1, where it's most effective.

#

Journey+other recursion also probably empties your boneyard pretty often, making cards like Peach and Abom less useful. Not sure about that one though.

I think the canines-spirits-recursion combination is too much. canines want to exist together, consistently, early on. recurring spirits often have more of a long view on the game, where they stall for a while instead of trying to overwhelm with mass early

#

I think the deck would be more effective using blue as draw than as canines, since you miss all of the best green canines, and don't have max copies of the blue canines that want to be played with max copies

sowwhat's point that you have too much recursion is correct - you have journey of souls, junkyard valhalla, wake the bones, comrades in arms, war doc, necromantic, call from the grave, nameless poet, five spirit gate, and nine-tailed vixen. there will be a lot of instances where your deck whiffs on recurring something because there's nothing left to recur

#

and similarly, recursion is bad for the effectiveness of boneyard abomination and peach of life

#

I don't think including a lot of recursion is necessarily bad, but you can tone it down significantly - maybe switch journey of souls to turn of seasons, remove wake the bones, remove a five spirit gate, maybe more playable minion bodies on turn 2, rather than just 4 comrades

#

you're also lacking in bonus draw. easy choice - gloombringer is the best source of bonus draw for spirit lists, so you can just run max copies and feel alright. you can use blue spirits like daughters of the forest along with it, you could use brainstorm for draw

#

your deck needs to consider its late game more. how does this deck intend to win? out-value with infinite bodies? burn damage? big overrun threats at the end of the day? since you're playing slow enough for junkyard valhalla, I'd look into some 5-6-7-8 cost cards that can put away a game

#

gullveig's grace is really useful from a value standpoint, if you have it, since it lets you dump your hand then refresh the whole thing

#

also, your deck runs pretty much no removal. this may work against bots, but against players, you'll want some cards that can get rid of competing threats. racer in shadow and led astray are probably your two best bets, muttonmorphosis and spirit away are also great, terminal calculus is good if you get that late in a game

#

magnus thorsson is also an option if you play double blue gems

#

anyways, good luck with everything!

Thanks a lot for the advice. I will try to translate them into Italian in order to make the deck work better, in case of use.

#

I hope that as a basis and thought it is right. Or I'm far from understanding the possibilities of such a deck.

There is a definite strategy here, which is already quite decent. I think you're just going a bit too hard into certain areas and not far enough in others.

#

I agree with Gloombringer x3 in this list. I'm assuming that's enough draw.

#

I don't agree with cutting JoS though. Instead I'd like to cut most other recursion like the 4x Wake the Bones and probably the 5 spirit gates.

#

Actually, there might not be enough spirits for Gloombringer.

#

In the above list there are only 10, I managed to move it up to 13 without much issue, but I do want closer to 20.

This is my 10 minute version. It does have some serious issues though. Most of those are the fact that this deck doesn't really have anything proactive to do early on.
