browsed around a bit both here and in the game and have a set of cards i would consider the core of a deck and another set i would like some feedback on. if i missed playables or most have cards of course i would be glad to get that information too.
4 K-Nine
4 Sons of the Pack
1-2 Primeval Son
1-2 Marching Orders
4 Pack Trooper
3 K-Nine Handler
3 V Pointman
2-4 V Veteran
1-2 Avanging Alpha
1 V Hetman
2-3 V Heavy
that adds up to a body of 26-32 cards to be joined by a selection of the following
godsblud transfusion
gremlin heist
glory seeker
kara
rider of edda
thunderclap
winter wolf
demolition speedway
led astray
forked lightning
circle of prot
canine cav
magnus
open to any comments/ advice

2 marching orders if you can afford it

#

you generally have a good instinct on what to include

#

would try to have like 60-40 green to blue, maybe a little more

#

more 2-drops

#

max copies of led astray

languid rampart
#

Both marching orders is a must. As is led astray, that deck doesn't really usually run removal but I always see led astray, you want one or two. Speedway too I see a ton. Transfusion i've seen but tends to take a backseat to the 1-drop edge thing.

cloud jackal
#

volkov induction over honed edge, depending on your color counts

languid rampart
#

The only "Why the fuck would you include that" i see on this list is gremlin heist, which... no. Just no. That card is awful. Circle of prot isn't really good for this deck either.
And kinda cavalry but at least it's fun even if it's not good.

cloud jackal
#

induction has an outside chance of buffing canines if you're playing non-dog cards (ACC token, magnus, kara, whatever)

naive solstice
#

This is an Aggro Canine deck I've seen used by slavaukraini. He seems to have a good record with it.

path: alliance command center
power: smite
2 honed edge
4 k-nine
2 false mjolnir
4 sons of the pack
2 house elf
2 marching orders
1 mothmara
2 overkill
4 pack trooper
3 volkov induction
4 bold omega
3 k-nine handler
2 led astray
3 volkov pointman
1 volkov veteran
1 volkov hetman

cloud jackal
#

maud's is a bit more aggressive than most

#

notice that it doesn't play to 5

naive solstice
#

Because it's pure face

languid rampart
#

Slavaukraini i've fought with that damn list, it makes some choices that are weird on paper but it genuinely seems to perform.

cloud jackal
#

I'd probably still play to 5, then modify the list from there

#

see what works, why it works, and adjust as needed

#

then you can see why maudib runs certain cheaper cards instead of more expensive ones

#

I'd say you probably avoid rider of edda, especially if you need to craft it

languid rampart
#

Oh yeah good catch edda is way too slow.

#

Don't know the answer to this myself: Forked lightning, yes or no?

cloud jackal
#

depends on the matchups

#

but if you include it, probably not a lot

languid rampart
#

1 or 2 of?

cloud jackal
#

I'd be hesitant to run more than 1, but in certain metas, I could see the need

spare lark
#

so playing to 5 i would do something like:
4 K-Nine
4 Sons of the Pack
1 Primeval Son
2 Marching Orders
4 Pack Trooper
3 K-Nine Handler
3 V Pointman
4 V Veteran
1 Avanging Alpha
1 V Hetman
2 V Heavy
2 Speedway
3 Led Astray
1 Magnus
2 V Induction
3 Bold Omega

cloud jackal
#

I'd look for more t4 plays

naive solstice
#

Maybe add a Volkov Heavy?

cloud jackal
#

winter wolf can be quiet usable with speedway involved

#

there's 2 heavies in the list already

#

I think the 4 veterans could be cut down

spare lark
#

one omega and 2 veterans for winter wolfs?

#

maybe for 2 and a lightning

cloud jackal
#

although speedway is a bit tricky, since it's BB in a deck that wants to go G, BG, BGG, and wind up at BBGGG

spare lark
#

maybe one speedway but a second son to still have 3 overrun

cloud jackal
#

speedway fills a different role, it's a bit more like pointman than primeval son

spare lark
#

makes sense

cloud jackal
#

pointman is a card you'd run 5 of if you could

spare lark
#

he was always an all star when playing the featured deck already

cloud jackal
#

anyways, whatever you do, make sure to check your color ratios. deck looks pretty playable right now if you add turn 4 plays and slap it in coliseum + mend, ACC + smite, or ACC + mend

#

oh hmm, maybe there's minion-heavier versions that might actually play skyranger as rush

#

but that's probably besides the point of the list

#

don't add skyranger, do add 4 mana plays, then just test it out and tweak as necessary

#

if you want to scoot down the curve and play a more aggressive look, feel free to

spare lark
#

i am just theorycrafting here what list to start with. if any player with experience in the decktype has a suggestion i am open for everything here

cloud jackal
#

@buoyant scroll would probably be fine explaining their deck

#

@hasty fern did canines back in the day, I believe

#

@gentle verge also did dogs

buoyant scroll
#

not much to explain. pure face smash, minimize direct conflict with opponent minions, try to win before opponent can drop something too big or with lots of aoe. Red is its nemesis.

languid rampart
#

List recs, Maudib?

buoyant scroll
#

marching orders and led astray key. anything that can get a minion over 2 health quickly key.

gentle verge
hasty fern
#

Malefica has much more recent experience than be but to parrot Maudib marching order is key

#

I'm a big fan of beserker sickness as well

languid rampart
#

Literally everybody has saying "Marching order" jesus
Guy's gonna end up with 3 of them somehow at this rate.

gentle verge
#

If he does then I am stealing his tech.....

buoyant scroll
#

id run three if i could

#

ive been thinking about swapping gallows boy for some warded

#

as it stands i cant get a foot hold against red

spare lark
#

it is nice to get a large consensus on the orders, the more fixed cards the less variables to try out. not at the point i am comfortably juggling huge decklists here

languid rampart
#

So ye 3 marching orders

#

4 led astray

cloud jackal
#

8 pack troopers

languid rampart
#

40 pack troopers

cloud jackal
#

relentless pack troopers

languid rampart
#

TBH 8 pack troopers is doable with helicarrier right?
...
Please don't take this as actual advice helicarrier is WAY too high on curve for any actual canines deck

cloud jackal
#

then you use the standard action, fart out 2 puppies, and you have 8 pack troopers

#

current helicarrier, it's a 3-turn deal

#

old one was 6->8->10->12, current one is 3->6->9->12

gentle verge
#

name: Canines command
coverart: Volkov Hetman
path: alliance command center
power: mend
4 k-nine
2 demolition speedway
4 sons of the pack
1 gremlin heist
3 winter wolf
1 magnus thorsson
1 primeval son
2 house elf
2 marching orders
4 pack trooper
2 volkov induction
3 k-nine handler
3 led astray
1 ved'ma skyranger
3 volkov pointman
3 volkov veteran
1 volkov hetman
This is the version I been playing most recently. The elves just for more 1 drops. Seems a bug at mo that if you induction them, they do not count as canines for Hetman.

spare lark
#

thanks, and one more thanks for the heads up with the elfes

languid rampart
#

House elf is a real odd choice IMO but a lot of the people who actually run it seem to like them. Genuine question, why house elf and not mothmara or something if you're hurting for 1-drops?

spare lark
#

i think the 1-3 is a nice sizing against other very early play, also the ability triggers almost always more than once, as it is on a lurker that is not easily removed by 1/0 cost options

gentle verge
#

Yeah this. Bit stickier and more likely to do a few pts of damage than a Mothmara

#

Canines has spells but the mothmara likely to be dead before you cast them

spare lark
#

copied your list for now, was pretty cheap as i had wildcards for everything i did not own except one rare and the hetman

#

so now 13k dust to pick up another deck, maybe will bother you all again soon. but so far thanks again for all the help to everyone providing helpful ideas

cloud jackal
#

glad to hear you had a good time
