It's permanent, not a "use it and you lose it" mon, right? So having 1 Waxcap will give +5 power to Sparked moves, but you don't lose the Waxcap?

one thing thats kinda cool is sparking yin
it turns it from a light to a dark and it by default gives 2 sparks
Only thing I could see that could be done to potentially "balance" sparks in maybe a future update.. is giving different moves different spark costs., but maybe that'd add too much complexity or reduce their value too much?

Do you have any moves that consume sparks outright to function? Like

Consumes 2 Sparks. Puts the user to Sleep for 1 turn for each Spark below 2 they were missing when using this move. (but worded more succinctly)

I think auto-Spark usage or consumption is a design space you could consider. Maybe not for this build, but maybe down the line if you feel Spark can be built around pretty easily

I believe. Will there be any new significant changes or updates to the battle system to differentiate it from MP1? Or haven't thought that far? Like currently it's basically turn-based double battles. Didn't know if maybe you'd introduce a way for the player to get a 2nd ally, or a charge meter, etc.

I have an idea for a new companion (sorry to go off track)
What is it
Think Ditto from Pokemon, but it transforms into a copy of the mon on your team that you have the most of (2 Fire Chickens and 1 Solarium = Fire Chicken; if tied, goes with the one highest in the team list).
The way you make it viable and scale is it gains stats based on how many copies of that mon you have on your team (maybe +3 to each of its stats for each of that mon on your team?). Then when it starts battle, it just has the moves of that mon at that level, basically

If you got monsters
It'd be somewhat rng. If you can still see mons on the map, you can plan to pursue them to try and setup which mon the companion becomes. If you have no mons on your team, but you start with the companion on your team, idk if it'd make more sense to make the "Ditto" have really high stats to compensate if you somehow try to do a no-mon run, or if it copies Bech
Or whatever you are fighting, like ditto
Could be nice to teach players what the early enemies do
Would it copy bosses? But like Ditto, only its moves and stats would change, not its HP?
Would be an interesting companion for sure, but i don't think it should copy abilities of bosses/potential companions.. since its ability is its flexibility and "counter-play" in battle

Kinda depends on how you setup or allow team composition. Like.. Would players get 20 sparks to buy/build their team, then they fight?
Alternatively, could have a progressive system, like combining MP with Super Auto Pets
I think it would be something related to winning a run with a specific team
So if you win the game with a setup, it's now available to take into arena
