He tried it
And failed

19-year old midfielder Maksim Mukhin has been called up to the Russian NT to replace Roman Zobnin, who is currently injured. Last weekend, Mukhin paid all expenses and allowed some young kids from his former academy (Konoplev Academy) to watch Lokomotiv match against Sochi.
73 year old Yuri Syomin will be offered Rotor Volgograd job
if we cant qualify for Europe we cant get disappointed in Europe
Μatieu Valbuena might not be having the best season of his career so far, unlike last season when he was a top player, but that does not means Olympiakos is set to let him go.The experienced Frenchman is about to sign a new contract with the Greek champions until next summer, ensuring that his will end his glamorous career at the Karaiskakis Stadium and then become a scout (most likely) at the Piraeus club. Multiple reports in Greece believe that in the next few days the ex-Dynamo Moscow player will sign that one year add-on.
In other news,AEK's captain,Petros Mantalos has renewed his contract until 2024(was ending January 2022),which means that he will probably be the captain to lead the team to their first fixture in to the new stadium, come 2022
Also, the post-season begins now with the play-outs happening today:
Apollon Smyrni vs AEL (9th vs 14th)
Pas Giannina vs Atromitos (8th vs 10th)
Volos NFC 2017 vs OFI (7th vs 13th)
Panaitolikos vs Lamia (12th vs 11th)
And then tomorrow, the playoffs for European placement and Championship begin, with PAOK hosting AEK at Thessaloniki, surprise-package Asteras Tripolis facing Panathinaikos at home and table-toppers Olympiakos facing second place Aris
Tony Vilhena wants to leave Krasnodar this summer
come to olympiakos lol
CSKA has agreed on the appointment of former club striker Ivica Olic to the post of head coach of the main team. Olic and CSKA are discussing the final details.
In the near future, Olic will be introduced to the team: it is planned that the new coach will hold the first lesson with the CSKA on Tuesday, March 23, when the team will leave the mini-vacation associated with a pause for the matches of the national teams.

smart
what do you think of appointment of Olic
I think Olic is a risky appointment given he’s never managed before but it could work out

Apparently Olic wants to bring in Krasic and Rahimic
Were all too focused on the managerial situation that we seem to be ignoring the fact our best player might leave
@molten cloud W
Still dont get why Yeni Malatya sold Jahovic tho
or
Jahovic left Yeni
because he is really bad
that was a year ago and they didn't even make it to the group stages
they lost to partizan at play-offs

our top 3 players are altay pelkas and szalai
Is Destanoğlu good?
watching bakasetas and pelkas is better than sex
yeah he has potential but altay is the best keeper in the league currently
and çakır takes the second place
muslera isnt good anymore
and i would put ersin ( destanoğlu ) or irfan can eğribayat to 3rd place
O
Also, how did Besiktas become so good?
Like they were getting destroyed by PAOK in the start of the season
Rosier and Ghezzal effect
O
And Aboubakar is a solid ST, right?
itw
tru
😎
Vida started to love football again
Yeah he is the best striker in the league with Boupendza
Well, it was to be expected. He was also good at Porto
We need to beat Beşiktaş
Yeah but Beşiktaş fans didn't want him at the beginning
Because he got injured multiple times
@hidden valley this is Chiriches x Stanciu szn 🇼

He was like the Romanian Oblak if I can call him like that
When he did play for us
Maybe we called up a little too much CAMs?
Idk

Stanciu, Ianis, Maxim, Tănase
Feyenoord interested him

👀
at least they arent wearing white like sivas against basaksehir
Risky choice to have 8 people to defend in the box, noone to protect the vicinity of the surface for a rebound ball, and 2 men up front for a counter attack
🤔
That must've been the goal that won Levadia the game
Anyone here follows Hajduk split
where are you from
Croatian football? Sure
turkey
yes fukk off brugge
i was excited because i thought u were a non-turkish fener fan lol

@molten cloud ovr u think hes a good CB?
i dont think there are any
For me Maybe idk sometimes i watch his match but often he is good i like titi
garbage
mihojevic is way better
Atınç
don't forget
I haven’t watched Split in a while so can you tell me how they are like atm
According to Metaratings, Goncha will leave tommorow
Well, things aren't going great right now. They were well beaten in the cup earlier in the week, and are still fighting for a European spot next season
What place is a European spot in Croatia
Top 3 is guaranteed European football while the fourth place depends on the cup
Hajduk Split are 5th, 3 points behind Rijeka with two games in hand
Don't know the answer to this
They're doing very well. They're competing with Dinamo for the title
if anyone knows Žan Zaletel, is he good? I might buy him in game

paok aek 3-1
7th direct relegation,6th play-out with the 2nd team from the 2nd division
Asteras 2-2 Panathinaikos
Olympiakos 1-0 Aris
PAOK 3-1 AEK
The league standings:
Olympiakos 70
Aris 51
PAOK 50
AEK 48
Panathinaikos 46
Asteras Tripolis 43
There are 9 games to be played.Top team gets a 2nd qualifying round of the UCL (depending on winner)
2nd and 3rd get UEFA Conference League 2nd qualifying round
Also the Cup winner gets the same prize as the 2nd and 3rd.If the Cup is won by a team on the top 3 then the 4th team gets the 4th ticket to Europe
Scenes at Tripoli yesterday! Panathinaikos opened the score in the 58' with Macheda scoring afterr an exquisite assist by Juankar. The Spaniard assisted the Italian CF a minute later as well to make it 0-2 on the day.But Asteras was not going to give up. Ali Baba assisted Luis Fernandez in the 85' to make it 1-2 and then in the 90+7' Asteras goalkeeper and cult figure,Nikos Papadopoulos scored to equalise and then celebrated by falling on the ground mocking Panathinaikos's goalkeeper of time-wasting the entire game. The pair talked in the dressing room afterwards with many reporting that they had a scrap.
At Georgios Karaiskakis,Olympiakos had a tough evening. The Greek champions ,might have scored with Masouras in the 37' but after that they did not record a single attack! The reason was that French RB, Kenny Lala was suspended with a direct red card in the 40' of the tie.It was all Aris in the second half, but all the chances the yellow team had were poor, with the exception of a Mancini shot, that Jose Sa parried away.
At Toumpa,PAOK was way better and deserved to win their double-headed eagle rival. AEK was ,once again, really bad at defending and also bad at attacking, recording their first organized opportunity in the 42'.Zivkovic gave PAOK the lead inside of only 3 minutes, with Portuguese starlet Nelson Oliveira equalising in the 45=3'. The home side, once again, conceded in the first attack recorded by the opposition,a year-long problem. In the second half,Tzolis assisted Karol Swiderski just 16 seconds after the hald had started ,with the Polish international making it 2-1 on the night. AEK tried to attack with long balls and long-shots but in reality we all knew they were not going to score....Then the dagger came by Andrija Zivkovic again running on the break alongside other PAOK players and scoring in the 89' to make it 3-1. AEK has now only won 3 out of 28 games against Panathinaikos,Olympiakos and PAOK since 2018!
Krasnodar confirmed Marcus Berg will leave to Goteborg at the end of the season
Sergey Ignashevich has been sacked by Torpedo Moscow after poor run of results
Ivica Olic has signed a contract with CSKA Moscow. It will be officially announced on March 23rd.
sad
Viktor Goncharenko has left CSKA Moscow by mutual consent
i remember him when he used to play for panathinaikos
How could u not he single-handedly won the 2014 Cup against u lot
But as I have learnt he is not top level rn, thank god we signed El Arabi instead of Marcus in 2019
2014? what happened then
yes
LOL
Anyway can we all agree that AEK this year does not deserve to qualify for Europe again?
They have been woeful the entire season bar the game against Wolfsburg in OAKA and Zorya in Ukraine,I am not counting games against Apollon,Lamia and Larissa that everyone should win of the Big-5
I don't agree, AEK is a top 5 team easily this year
There isn't another team better than AEK to be in europe
When you look at the table from position 6 and below, which team will perform better than AEK?
This is somewhat true, but what I am stating is that they way they have been playing is not European football-esque
They have no plan going forward, their defence is shaky and their coach's choices are debatable
None, cause all the other teams, are worse in terms of the players they have (on paper),but come on,everyone can see that AEK this season is the worse AEK since the season they were relegated
This year we can recall a Greek saying that perfectly fits in the league:Out of the blinds, the one with one eye differs
All the teams, except Aris,Volos and PAS Giannina have gotten worse this season
And Apollo
Your question was clear 😅
So Olympiakos even with a worse team can win the league easily cause all the other teams that were worse than him last season are way worse now as well
anybody know anything about how Olic would set up tactically?
My prediction for the super league is
- Olympiakos
2.Paok - Arhs
- Aek
- Asteras
- Panathinaikos
And for the greek cup i think it will be against paok and olympiakos
And prob olympiakos will win
i really would like to see paok winning once again
me too but they are 20 points ahead, if we win all the matches and olympiakos loses(wont happen)
Regardless of the advantage Olympiakos has, PAOK doesn't play well enough compared to them, actually no team plays to the level Olympiakos does this year
Even if Olympiakos didn't have an advantage they would still win it most probably
well , PAOK has the players to have a good team but every year they make mistakes that costs 3 points
if paok focuses enough he can be able to have a chance
not this year
like if olympiakos loses 6 games and paok wins he is able to win the league but oly has a rll good team
ikr

Valeriy Karpin said he will retire when his contract for Rostov ends on 2024.

Tedesco 😳
RPL player of the month candidates
- Aleksandr Sobolev - 4 matches, 5 goals (3 PK goals) 1 assist
- Jordan Larsson - 3 matches, 4 goals 1 assist
- Guilherme - 4 matches, 3 clean sheets
- Djordje Despotovic - 4 matches, 4 goals (1 PK goals) 1 assist
- Wendel - 4 matches, 2 goals 1 assist
nikolic deserves it, the turnaround he has made since the beginning of the season is amazing.
It should be Nikolic or Cherevchenko
Rubin Kazan CEO says they will vaccinate all of their staffs in near future.
They stream on YouTube
Looks like Tedesco still used his Schalke 3-4-1-2
still has Schalke in his heart
lmao
well this is true
Tedesco use 3-4-1-2 after Promes arrived
also sometimes uses 4-4-2 but it's kinda meh
He should've brought Caligiuri and Ozcipka
he used 3-4-3 before Promes arrived and it was great
Spartak is using all 8 foreign spots
There are rumours that RPL will increase the foreign limit but nothing has been confirmed
Rumours says they could increase up to 12
Todesco sticking with something that worked for Schalke, interesting idea
They looks impossible to beat when they are on form. But they sometimes have weird results. They need more consistency but Tedesco is going to right direction
Marko Nikolic is the manager of the month
Denis Makarov against Zenit goal is the goal of the month
what about krasnodar
they arent doing well
their game management is crap. They are good at attacking because they don't know defense is a thing in football
their physio is also crap. They have tons of injuries this season
what do you think of world cup qualification for Turkey
Netherlands and Norway are good
our team is good but burak cant play like this in every match
we have great defense
and great keepers
uğurcan and altay
i think we can beat norway
but haaland and sörloth are main problems
so altay would be a better choice in that match instead of uğurcan
he is world class at one on one positions
If we can beat Norway and get another result against the Netherlands then we can qualify
ye
Dundalk is trying to sign S.Korean winger Han Jung-Woo
He is S.Korean U-23 international
Zenit St. Petersburg are interested in Paulo Fonseca
Lmfaoooo fr
@naive ocean how abt Nikolic 4-3-1-2?
I mean in terms of more exciting
whos better
if you like high scoring Spartak is better. Nikolic is more counter attacking and balanced
ah i see
maybe i will follow Spartak then
@naive ocean and Zobnin moved into wingback?
rbuh
How good is Kral?
he has a good work rate and kicks
@naive ocean how if the comparison is. . . . Guendouzi
This should be changed to european-non-top-7-leagues when we have Portuguese and Dutch football channel
Former Olympiakos Trabzonspor Fenerbahçe player
Erol bulut
Today sacked
Aberdeen pre contract Scott Brown from Celtic
Oscar Wendt and Marcus berg
Are now Göteborg players
Probably not the best idea. Given how everyone below the top 5 constantly change, not a good idea
well you can change it later
I suppose
why does nobody talk about liga nos and the eredivisie here, they are the 2 biggest leagues outside the top 5
Eredivisie already has its own channel
And it’s pretty much active
Amongst Liga NOS fans only Dilas is active and is a hardcore fan
I do follow it quite a bit as well
Noice
wow so silent
Yes.
Now that is better XD
Can't wait
International football is nice but mostly in the final stage
Not gonna watch England-San Marino
Attaboy!
Turkey used to have a good national team, back when Demirel was still playing
Greek third division (Football League) begins now
With Niki Volos (Super League team not so long ago ) facing Aigaleo who was in Europe in 2006

Oof
Ok they start in fucking March
Will they actually finish it
Will they play both home and away games?
Only in Greece you are gonna see a championship starting in April
Thoughts on Roy Keane being Celtic manager?
And Celtics chances of getting into champions league
dont think they will but with the right manager they will push us next season
i think he would be a good fit tbh
We’ll be playing the likes of Lyon shaktar Donetsk and psv in the qualifiers so probably not champions league football.
yeah
And we have a defence of Taylor, welsh and ralston and someone else goin into the qualifiers
Jullien out injured and ajer likely to leave as well as the loan players returning to there clubs
idk if this is true apparently we dont need the qualifiers ill look and see
its if the europa league or champions league winners have already qualified
in the league
Which is likely to happen
Also if Celtic finish 3rd in Europa league they can try win the conference league
Ha, good one
One short answer for you, no
True cause we’ll be playing qualifiers against Lyon and shaktar Donetsk
Probably not Lyon, but definitely against Shakhtar, who have been shit in Ukraine this season
They could also take on Porto, Benfica or Braga
Plus Racing Genk
😉
Cap were even better
Ι think it will end in end of May there is only 18 games
So it is okey
but I do not think they will have their playoffs
Also nobody knows how many teams get promoted
there is a shout that all the teams will get promote
promotion*
and only the last 4-6 will get relegation
I mean is a 10+10 team league
How can a championship start
When you don't know who is promoted
or relegated
... such a lack of organisation, not serious at all
a good team now
demirel
Thorsten Fink is linked with Spartak Moscow job
He's former Basel, Ingolstadt, Hamburg, Vissel Kobe manager

He's going to leave at the end of the season
why he leave? Some clubs wants him? Internal problem?
contract expires
well players want him to stay so who knows
F
guys you know how a Russian team can't play against a Ukrainan team
what if they both reach the Europa league final even if it's not that realistic of an idea
what happens
Political reasons
ik
this is my question
They’ll be allowed to play each other because it’s at a neutral venue
oh thanks for the info
id like to see alanya back in rpl
yeah. Another North Kavkaz team
Remember anzhi. They’re currently in the Russian 3rd tier and can’t even beat Krasnodar C team
they nearly got relegated to the 4th tier last year as well
They survived by 2 points
and to think they were a top 4 team 7 years ago
What even happened to them? Did there owner lose interest
any efl championship fans here
CSKA Moscow Vs Dynamo Kyiv 🔥
jk
is Dynamo a company or something
because there's Dynamo Moscow and Kiev
pretty much yes, their success was built on the investment and as soon as that stopped they went into freefall and weren't even able to afford an FNL lisence after relegation
not me
its a common prefix for former soviet police teams
Dynamo, also Dinamo, is a sports and fitness society created in 1923 in the Soviet Union.
ohhh
clubs attaining much international acclaim, such as in football: KF Dinamo Tirana, Dinamo Baku, FC Dinamo București, Dinamo Sofia, FC Dynamo Kyiv, FC Dynamo Moscow, FC Dinamo Tbilisi, FC Dinamo Minsk, FC Dinamo Brest, JK Dünamo Tallinn, NK Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Sportvereinigung Dynamo (East Germany: including BFC Dynamo, SG Dynamo Dresden and SC Dynamo Berlin ( Wikipedia: it won’t let me post the link)
woah that's cool
@quiet oracle i'll post the link
if you send it to me in dms
thats cool

CSKA is Central Army, SKA is just Army
CSKA Sofia, CSKA Moscow, CSKA Pamir Dushabe
SKA Khabarovsk, SKA Rostov-na-Donu
Dynamo are police officers, Lokomotiv are railways
Just favouring the big teams/leagues
exactly
No league with 4 automatic spots should get an extra spot
I just want European Cup era back
You won’t ever see teams like Celtic, red star Belgrade or steua Bucharest winning if agains
so just a super league but the "smaller" teams get to play for pride and uefa get more money
Teams from smaller nations should form there own cup competition : Atlantic cup or balkans cup
or we just dont watch the new CL at all which would mean uefa lose lots of broadcast money
agreed
at this point smaller nation clubs are only there to make up
the pot 4 places
Sadly, this is so true
nope
falcao did it on purpose
perotti didnt
and how do u know he will be out again
lol
Yağız Sabuncuoğlu say it this not me
u got my sentence wrong
i didnt say he will play next match
Let's see how that goes with UEFA
what happened
Krasnodar are interested in River Plate forward Rafael Santos Borre
Transfermarkt says his value is 15m euros
His contract expires at the end of the season
Didn't they want Boupendza
The deal fell through I heard
🏆 The #UEFAExCo has unanimously approved the new timeframe for a decision on the format of UEFA club competitions post-2024, with a decision to be made on 19 April 2021.
o
They should try Boupendza again
Bayern too
i didnt understand whats going on
Basically, everyone agreed with the timeframe in which to work on the UEFA Club Competitions for the 2024 cycle
so what will be the results of it
good, I thought they approved the ten match group stage
Hello guys, im from Romania and my national team its f up

Interesting bunch there. I suspect the top 3 will remain in the European places. Assuming Craiova win the cup, the last European spot will be an interesting battle
Chindia is still in it
Oh what
BODART
Botosani and Clinceni have 41
Clinceni has the place guaranteed if Chindia doesn't beat Voluntari
Yeah
I don't think I receive for that league

👀
I still reckon 0-1 today
2-0
Nah won't be that easy
with cowley at the helm and curits up top and raggett at the back
should be lucky if it isnt 50-0
we are too good now
COME ON POMPEY
We're not world class yet 😂
We're still giving away shitty goals
And we are only playing bottom 10 teams
EXACTLY
we are ready
to pounce
get that play off trophy
and play championship football
and win the championship
and make it to the prem
The goals we've been conceding against teams like Rochdale, Shrewsbury and you think we're gonna win the play offs?
😂 😂 😂
It's a huge upgrade on Jackett yeah, but you've still got to look at all the negatives, our players are being overtrained, we're conceding crappy goals, we don't push for goals, we go a goal up, and we waste our chances and hold onto it, we're giving the ball away all the time we're passing it round the back, feel like we're overhyping Cowley way too much
He is the man
I have never felt so happy to have a manager than I do with the Cowleys
we are incredibly lucky to have them at Pompey
and with their style of play and their personality and passion and what they do for the fans - would not mind another season in league one
I like their style of play admittedly
And we may have won our last 3 games
But us passing it round the back, giving away crap goals, when we're playing against teams who have very capable strikers, it'll haunt us
And the games we won haven't been convincing
The last 20-25 minutes in all the games we've had him in charge for, have been really uncomfortable
And the teams we've played, Ipswich? Fair play, they are challenging for play offs, but I don't think we fully deserved the win, but I like the fact we came back from a goal down, so I won't say anymore there
Shrewsbury? Definitely didn't deserve that win, low down in the table, may have been down to 10, but it was an attacker, so I don't think that matters too much in terms of defending, plus the goal we gave away was shitty too
Rochdale? Even more undeserved than the Shrewsbury game, and we had 11 men, last 30-40 minutes were really uncomfortable to watch, and again we gave away a crappy goal
With all that in mind, when it comes to us playing teams like posh, Charlton, Donny, they will still comfortably beat us unless we pull off some miracle, which I'm not convinced we've done this season
