Maul's Liga 1 of the Day vol 9: 8, 9, 14 and 20 November
First up, we've got the first game of the 8th of nov. Arges vs CFR Cluj, Arges were coming off a 2-1 win vs Voluntari and CFR were humiliated on Thursday vs AS Roma, losing 5-0. First highlight of the game was a controversially not given penalty for CFR, after Mihai Leca arguably fouled Alexandru Păun inside the box 5 minutes into the game. 9 minutes later, Ciprian Deac robbed the ball from the Arges goalkeeper, George Micle, who seemed to be sleeping, and assisted Mario Rondon. In the 23rd minute, Michael Pereira played a smart pass to the same Mario Rondon, who scored his second of the game. 3 minutes into the second half, Rondon got into a 1v1 situation against George Micle, but he missed the chance to get his hattrick with Micle making a fine save. CFR had another chance to make it 3-0 in the 54th minute, when Deac's free kick hit the post. This win put the defending champions 3 points closer to the 1st spot on the table. Meanwhile Arges remained on the 14th place.
The other game of that day involved Viitorul and Dinamo. Viitorul coming off that weird match vs Poli Iaşi and Dinamo having last lost vs Sepsi 0-2. First chance of the game coming in the 13rd minute, when Aleix Garcia hit the post with a free kick from a tight angle. 14 minutes later, Ahmed Bani had the chance to score his first goal this season but the youngster had a week shot which was easily caught by Arpad Tordai which started a counter giving the ball to Alexandru Măţan which, after a good run, gave it to Ely Fernandes which missed the chance to score his first goal for Viitorul. In the 52nd minute Viitorul had another chance, but Kevin Luckassen's header was blocked by Marco Ehmann. Măţan took the resulting corner, Jon Gaztanaga dummied the ball, and Alin Dobrosavlevici put it in the back of the net. In the 56th minute, Kevin Luckassen made it 2-0 with a good finish from inside the box. 8 minutes later, Catalin Măgureanu got the ball after an error from Virgil Ghiţă and gave it to Borja Valle which didn't miss and pulled one back for Dinamo. Last chance of the game came in the 71th minute, when Juan Camara hit the post for Dinamo. This loss was Dinamo's 5th in a row and they stayed on the 15th place meanwhile Viitorul climbed up to 6th.
The only game on the 9th of November involved UTA Arad and Gaz Metan Mediaş. Both teams coming off wins against FC Botoşani and CFR Cluj respectively. The first chance of the game came in the 23rd minute, when Ronaldo Deaconu played a great pass to Nicolao Dumitru which missed at first but scored the rebound. 9 minutes later, Ronaldo Deaconu scored a nice free kick goal, making it 2-0 for Gaz Metan. In the 37th minute Vlad Morar took a shot from the edge of the box and scored, even though Alexandru Buzbuchi got a hand to it and should have kept it out. Gaz Metan closed the match in the 81th minute with Francisco Junior's great pass reaching Nicolao Dumitru which scored again. Octavian Ursu had the chance to make it 2-3 in the last minute of the game but Buzbuchi made a great save to keep his shot out. UTA missed the chance to get back into the playoff spots meanwhile Gaz Metan clmbed up to 9th with this win.
Only game played during the international break involved Dinamo Bucureşti and Astra Giurgiu, the last 2 teams on the table. Constantin Budescu made a great run in the 47th minute and beautifully assisted Valentin Gheorghe to make it 1-0 for Astra. Eugen Neagoe's debut as Astra manager was going pretty well against his old club. Dinamo had the chance to equalise in the 55th minute but Abdoulaye Ba's header went over the crossbar. They did equalise 1 minute later though, ex-Everton player Magaye Gueye scoring a beautiful bicycle kick goal inside the box. This draw didn't change the position of any of the 2 teams, but it did end Dinamo's 5 game losing run.
He is pretty good for Dinamo tbh
First game of the 20th of November was Poli Iaşi vs FC Argeş. Both teams were coming off defeats against FC Voluntari and CFR Cluj, respectively. Argeş had the first chance of the game when Teodor Axinte made a fine save to keep out Robert Grecu's shot in the 26th minute. Poli Iaşi had a chance too in the 32nd minute when Andrei Cristea's header was kept out by Micle. 8 minutes later, the same Andrei Cristea scored a deflected shot from outside the box. Cristea had a chance to score a brace but missed in the 42nd minute. Doru Popadiuc hit the post in the 50th minute for Iaşi with a shot from outside the box. Cephas Malele equalised for Argeş 11 minutes later, scoring a header from Costinel Tofan's cross. Floriano Vanzo had a chance to score in the 65th minute but for some reason he dummied it. 2 minutes later, Poli Iaşi had a man sent off when Cosmin Frăsinescu elbowed Luka Maric in the face when the ball was out of play. The draw extended Poli Iaşi's winningless run to 6 matches.

Other game of the 20th of November involved Dinamo Bucureşti and FC Voluntari. Dinamo last drew 1-1 vs Astra Giurgiu and Voluntari last won 4-0 vs Poli Iaşi. Juan Camara had the first chance of the game but his shot at the near post was saved by Marcos Lavin in the 11th minute. Dinamo had another chance 1 min later when Diego Fabbrini's shot went a little over the bar. 3 minutes later, Europa League finalist Alexandru Vlad's shot went over the bar, the chance being Voluntari's first of the game. In the 19th minute, Lavin made another good save, this time on Adam Nemec's shot from inside the box, which was anyway offside. CFR Cluj loanee Sebastian Mailat had a good chance in the 24th minute for Voluntari, but his shot went wide. Camara had another good chance in the 30th minute after a great run by him, but Lavin saved again. Dinamo had another chance in the 37th minute but Deian Sorescu's shot was easily caught by Lavin. Ricardinho hit the post in the 47th minute for Voluntari with a nice shot. Dinamo had another chance in the 52nd minute but Borja Valle's shot went a bit wide. Paul Anton had a good shot from outside the box 1 minute later but Lavin saved again, Nemec scored the rebound but the goal was disallowed because he was in a clear offside position. Dinamo had another chance in the 55th min, but Janusz Gol's header was caught by Lavin. 4 mins later Nemec's header hit the post. Dinamo did break the deadlock in the 60th min though, Paul Anton scoring his first goal since his return. 4 minutes later, Lavin saved another shot by Nemec. Borja Valle scored an easy tap-in in the 67th min to make it 2-0. Voluntari had the chance to pull one back in the 86th min, but Jefte failed to put it in. Borja Valle scored again 1 min after, another easy tap-in from the, nonetheless, good spanish no. 10. This win helped Dinamo climb past FC Argeş meanwhile Voluntari remained 10th.

Ekstraklasa of the day vol. 11
First match of the day featured 4th place Zagłębie taking on last in the league Stal Mielec under new coach Leszek Ojrzyński. Zagłębie needed a win to still be in the fight for top spots and Stal is probably gonna fight relegation all season so any point is a blessing, and in this case they only needed one to push Piast back into the relegation zone and jump to the safe spot. "Miedziowi" (Zagłębie pseudonym, literally means 'the Coppers') started the game well with rightback Kacper Chodyna's finish in the 17th minute, and then quickly made it 2 after the captain Lubomir Guldan headed the ball to Montenegrin leftback Sasa Balic, who had no problem slotting it home. The match looked like it was over already, but Ojrzyński's team snatched one back in the 37th thanks to former Raków midfielder Maciej Domański. Coming into the half time break, Stal made a double substitution, bringing on one of Ekstraklasa's more recognizable players Petteri Forsell, Finnish offensive midfielder, who despite being a little chubby (and having people poke fun at him for that) is experienced in the Polish league and has hit double figures playing for Miedź Legnica twice, of which one of these seasons was during their 18/19 time in Ekstraklasa. Not even 5 minutes after coming on, Forsell hit a banger and equalized. This impact sub shook Zagłębie so much that they were unable to score another, and the final 2-2 result was certainly disappointing for them - but surely a decent memory for Stal fans and their debuting coach who are still sitting safe thanks to it. (1/4)
Second match of the day was between the legendary White Star of Cracow and the hosting side Warta Poznań. Warta, surely predicted by every Polish league enthusiast to finish last, and currently dealing with massive injury problems, are actually the best of all 3 promoted teams and were currently sitting midtable, just like Wisła, who just beat those two another fresh promotees (Stal 6-0, Podbeskidzie 3-0), but later lost to Lechia and drew to Raków Częstochowa. What appeared to be a tough match for both sides saw its first goal in the 10th minute when Adi Mehremić headed home a set piece cross and made it 1-0 for the away side. Less than 20 minutes later Warta got a controversial pen, but unfortunately Ekstraklasa legend Łukasz Trałka failed to hit the goal and skied it. Wisła was really the dominant side but didn't manage to score any until halftime, and after that something in their defense stopped working and they conceded first a decent shot from Jan Grzesik the Warta rightback, and then failed to stop Mateusz Kuzimski from slotting home a 1v1 vs the goalkeeper. This surely surprising win may be a suggestion that Warta is still in the race for top 8, although we're curbing our enthusiasm as for now. Piotr Tworek is surely doing an outstanding job though. (2/4)
Brief look at Fortuna 1 Liga now. No schlager this time, but some definitely interesting matches happened, like Arka's 1-2 away win against Resovia, which saw them launch to 3rd place. GKS Jastrzębie did another large step towards avoiding relegation by beating Stomil Olsztyn away 1-0 and bouncing 5 points off still winless bottom placed Sandecja. In Bełchatów, local GKS failed to score vs Korona despite the guests having a player sent off in the 35th and missing a penalty, which saw them concede eventually 5 minutes before the regular time ran out. Miedź Legnica beat GKS Tychy and is still in the battle for playoff spots and solid recently Chrobry Głogów managed to surprise underperforming Zagłębie Sosnowiec, beating them 2-1 at their own home. Might start doing Wicked's SPFL of the Day

Both @hidden valley And @dire comet's League round ups are very entertaining to read, and I want you both to know that people appreciate the effort that you both put into them

the chat is gonna be covered in monologues but at least they're informational
based
I cba to write that much
I mean if theres too much roundups we may consider doing a separate channel for them
and suggest it
I'm honestly all for this becoming League Round-ups
Maul's and Rafa's are both very entertaining, and I'd love to see more of them being done for lesser known leagues
It's official: Wicked's SPFL round up, starting next week

Ooh snazzy
Nice
These roundups are very interesting and in depth I must say
I really cba to write about serbian league especially because therr are games that look weird
Like a teams loses 6-0 and then wins 5-0 with all 5 goals being very stupid defence mistakes
Should I do one for this week?
I'd like to, because then I get to talk about Celtic dropping points

Lmao
@silent tartan dewit
JUST DO IT
we're gonna win anyway
Raków will finish like 5th
btw Forsell scored against Zagłębie for the 3rd season in a row
respect
and it's an absolute banger again
Maul's Liga 1 of the Day vol 10: 21 November 2020
First up we have an in-form Academica Clinceni side against a decent Viitorul. Both teams were coming off wins against Astra Giurgiu and Dinamo Bucureşti, respectively. First chance of the game came in the 6th minute when Kevin Luckassen was through on goal but Octavian Vâlceanu came out and saved his shot. Clinceni had their chance too in the 15th minute but Lucian Dumitriu's shot was blocked by Angel Martinez. 4 minutes later, Juan Bautista Cascini fouled Alexandru Măţan inside the box and the official Radu Petrescu gave a penalty to Viitorul. The penalty was taken by Gabriel Iancu but it was a weak shot saved by Octavian Vâlceanu. Angel Martinez had a chance too for Viitorul but his shot was as well saved by Vâlceanu in the 22nd minute. The first goal of the game came in the 30th minute when Georgi Pashov scored a goal of the season contender with a beautiful volley from the edge of the box for Clinceni. 7 minutes later, Clinceni had another chance but Mladen Jutric's powerful free kick was saved by Cătălin Căbuz. Viitorul had a chance to equalise in the 42nd minute when Vâlceanu wrongly came out but Luckassen's volley hit the post. In the only added minute of the 1st half Alexandru Boiciuc's shot went a little bit wide for Clinceni. Tsvetelin Chunchukov was booked for the second time in the 54th minute after diving, meaning Clinceni would have to play the remainder of the game in 10 men. Vâlceanu made another great save in the 87th minute on George Ganea's fine shot. This win helped Clinceni remain 4th until at least Sepsi's game against Chindia on Monday meanwhile Viitorul will remain 6th until at least UTA's game against CFR on Sunday.
The other game of the day involved two struggling sides, FC Botoşani and Universitatea Craiova. Both teams came off defeats against Steaua and Chindia Târgovişte, respectively. Craiova are also managerless for now since Bergodi resigned after the defeat against Chindia with Corneliu Papură taking the caretaker role. First chance of the game came in the 38th minute for Botoşani, but Jonathan Rodriguez's header went over the bar. Dan Nistor had a chance to score for Craiova after Eduard Pap's error but his shot was deflected by Andrei Chindriş. Craiova had another chance from the resulting corner but Marius Constantin's header went wide. Mihai Căpăţână tried a shot from outside the box in the 54th minute but it was easily caught by Eduard Pap. Another chance for Craiova in the 71th minute, but Ivan Mamut's shot was also caught by Pap. Alexandru Cicâldău's free kick in the 86th minute was a weak one, also caught by Pap. Cristian Bărbuţ's shot in the first minute of stoppage time was blocked by Denis Haruţ. Mamut's header from the resulting corner was saved by Eduard Pap. In the last minute of stoppage time, Mamut had the chance to score or square it to Dan Nistor, instead he chose the shoot it as high as possible option, another world class transfer done by Craiova this summer. Craiova climbed up to 1st with this draw until at least Steaua's game with Gaz Metan on Monday, where the Roş-albaştrii can go 2 points ahead of Craiova. Botoşani, on the other hand, will remain 11th until at least Hermannstadt's game with Astra Giurgiu on Sunday.

I'm not even halfway finished

So, to start off the weekend, we had St. Johnstone vs Motherwell; Both teams locked into 7th and 8th place, with no real chance to move up at all. The game ended in a Dull 1-1 draw, with Mark O'Hara getting the opener for Motherwell with 17 minutes on the clock. Former Aberdeen man Stevie May leveled the scoring on 34 minutes, and nothing major happened after that. Both teams shared the points, and both teams dropped one place to Kilmarnock, who gained 2 positions this week.
Onto the next game; Livingston vs St. Mirren. We move onto a Relegation fight, with both Teams sitting in 11th and 10th place. Livingston are very strong at home, their artificial pitch handing them an advantage over teams with regular pitches. But Livingston were beaten on this occasion, losing out 1-0 to St. Mirren Thanks to Jake Hayes' 2nd half strike. St. Mirren desperately needed those 3 points, and they got them, pulling themselves 4 points clear of bottom club Hamilton with one game in hand. Livingston remain 10th for now, but having played 3 more games then St Mirren, and 2 more then Hamilton. Just 5 points separate the 3 teams, so Livingston could find themselves bottom when those games are done.
Kilmarnock vs Ross county next, and finally we have some action. The game couldn't have started out worse for Killie, as Stuart Findlay saw red after just 8 minutes. He is a key part of their team, and him missing the next 3 games will hurt them a lot. But They recovered from that blow very well, with their main man Eamonn Brophy firing them ahead after just 14 minutes. Kilmarnock got pegged back to 1-1 just before half time, Tom Grivosti scored with 42 Minutes gone, leveling the score, which certainly put a spanner into Alex Dyer's plans just before the half's end. After 68 Minutes Mitchell Pinnock was brought down in the box, giving Kilmarnock a way out of their sticky situation. Nicke Kabamba converted from the spot, with Chris Burke sealing the deal with a 90+3' strike to secure the win
Nice
(Imma finish this after Trivia)
@silent tartan
Ok, Im back
Hibs vs Celtic has to be the star game of the week by far. Jack Ross' men were looking for a positive result. after not winning their last 2 games, including a devastating 2-0 loss to 3rd place Rivals Aberdeen, Hibs were about to go hunting in the Lion's den, as they went Toe to Toe with the Champions. Nothing much happened in the first half, Hibs had a few solid chances, but nothing came of it, and Hibs went into half time feeling good about themselves. Then 6 minutes into 2nd half Martin Boyle was taken down in the box by Scott Brown. Kevin Nisbet stepped to take the penalty, with Hibs fans praying all over the country for him to score. He opted to go straight down the middle, but Scott Bain guessed the right way, Parrying the ball away, to send the Celtic fans into awe. Hibs managed to work the ball loose back into the box, as Jamie Murphy slotted it home, past the keeper from 15 yards. But Hibs weren't done yet, they wanted more. they got exactly their wish just 7 minutes after their first goal, as Kevin Nisbet, who missed a penalty just a few minutes ago, scored to give himself and Hibs a well needed boost. But it's called hunting in the Lion's den for a reason, as Celtic won a penalty in the 77th minute, after Paul McGinn handballed in the box. Odsonne Edouard belted his penalty into the top left, making it 2-1 win 13 minutes left. Celtic looked to be down and out even with that lifeline that had been handed to them, but as has happened so many times this season, Celtic snatch a result at the death, with Diego Laxalt bagging his first goal in Celtic colours, and what a way to do it. that result puts Celtic 4 points clear of Aberdeen, and 11 points adrift of Rangers but with 2 games in hand.
Now moving on from that action packed game to Dundee United vs Hamilton. Tensions were high for this game, as it was so crucial for both teams to pick up a win here. Dundee United needed to win, to keep up their push for 4th place, which they were 5 points adrift of; and Hamilton needed all the points they could get to try and lift themselves off of the foot of the table. Nothing much happened in the first half, just a solitary big chance for Dundee United, which should have been slotted away. Going into the 2nd half, this was anybody's game, either team could come out ontop. And with 65 minutes on the clock, Scott McMann floats in a wonderous cross, which lands onto the head of Ross Callachan, firing the Accies 1-0 up with just 25 Minutes to play, if they could hold on they could take 3 points which could save their season. But it wasnt to be, as just 10 minutes later, Nicky Clark broke Hamilton hearts, sending 2 goals past Ryan Fulton in the space of 4 minutes, ending Hamilton's day.
And now, onto the final game of this week, Rangers vs Aberdeen. Rangers have had a start to this season like no other we've seen for decades, From their first 15 games, Steven Gerrard's men have won 13, and drew 2, conceding just 3 goals all season. So it was no surprise to anyone, to hear they had demolished Aberdeen 4-0. Ryan Kent struck first, with just 15 minutes on the clock, with this sublime shot from 25 yards out https://streamja.com/5rkan. Kemar Roofe doubled Rangers' advantage after 28 minutes, striking inside the box, to send the Gers 2-0 up. Aberdeen looked to come back from that dismal 1st half performance, as they came strong out of the gate, and almost grabbed one back, but just 3 minutes into the 2nd half, a shot from Scott Arfield takes a massive deflection in the box, wrong footing the keeper, and leaving him no chance. And as if it couldnt get worse for Aberdeen, Andrew Considine took down Leon Balogun inside the penalty area. And if there's one thing that we know about James Tavernier, it's that he doesnt miss penalties, converting from the spot, to keep himself at the top of the SPFL scoring charts, with 9 strikes this year.
That's all from me this week, see you next time

O
Good to hear
Genk were stupid not to play him, then get rid of him
Yea, I was so surprised when they let him go so willingly
Absolute madness. That season was terrible for the Genkies. Maybe not a shock given that the coach that lead them to the title went to a rival team
who and where
Congrats to Bodø-Glimt for winning the Eliteserien!!
Hmm
Is it me or Raków is doing good
Is it a fairytale run because I never see Raków doing very well
Raków is 2nd in the league so yes they're doing good
and the reason you don't see them doing well often is because before 2019 the last time they were in Ekstraklasa was like the 60s
last year they won the relegation group
there's only one relegation spot, the league is expanding
Oh for now, beacuse last season in the relegation round, there's three relegation spots
yes
Bruh
Piast won against Lechia
And they're 14th
Stal Mielec in the hard red hot zone

Ekstraklasa of the day vol.12 and 13 (22/23.11.2020)
First game of the 22nd was Lech Poznań taking on home then league leaders Raków Częstochowa. Lech is doing terribly in the league and while everyone is praising them for their international performance, the dream may be over soon, and then Dariusz Żuraw may have trouble getting them back into top 3. The start to the game wasn't perfect by Kolejorz either, as Marcin Cebula made two decent passes, of which each was converted into a goal by Ivi Lopez and Oskar Zawada (finally!) respectively, which made Raków go 2-0 up after 31 minutes. Lech's best striker Mikael Ishak managed to clench one back before half time, and then Żuraw must have seriously motivated his team, because after coming onto the second half Jakub Moder converted a penalty which was then shortly followed by Dani Ramirez slotting in an Alan Czerwiński cross. That extremely quick remontada shocked Raków and they were unable to do anything after that, being absolutely dominated by Lech, until in the second minute of added time young midfielder Daniel Szelągowski performed a Maradona-style dribble between helplessly watching Lech defenders and equalized with his right foot. Surely goal of the week made Raków not lose an important match, although it wasn't enough to keep the top spot (but that will come later). (1/6)
Second game of the day saw Cracovia Kraków and their manager Michał Probierz encountering his old friend Czesław Michniewicz in the role of Legia coach in a clash that could possibly see the capital city team jump onto first place. First half didn't bring anything worth mentioning, except the Legia wings and fullbacks being very active and youngster Karol Niemczycki making two decent saves for Cracovia. Although Legia was dominating that match from start to finish, which had to be converted into a goal - and they indeed managed to score one, when in the 51st minute leftback Filip Mladenović continued his great run of form nutmegging the goalkeeper after Juranović's amazing chipped cross. Cracovia had a few chances, like when Michal Siplak tried to hit the top corner from a nearly 30 meter volley, but young Legia goalkeeper Cezary Miszta managed to get back onto the line after drifting from it for a bit and parried the shot onto a corner kick. With Legia not allowing Probierz's team to do anything notable later on, they could have conceded a penalty, when in 90+3 a Thiago cross hit Tomas Pekhart's hand in the penalty box. The referee blew for half time, but then went on to check VAR if maybe a penalty shouldn't be awarded. Fortunately for Legia, Piotr Lasyk decided that the hand wasn't moving in the ball's direction nor was outstretched far enough from the Czech striker's body to give the 11 meter kick, and blew the final whistle with the end result being 1-0 for the guests. This win saw Legia finally jumping onto the first place. (2/6)
Next up we have the 23rd of November. Monday saw two matches being played, with the first of them being 16th placed Piast Gliwice playing their 2nd game in 3 days coming off from an away win at Zabrze versus Lechia Gdańsk, who also played a game 3 days before, and prevailed over Zagłębie Lubin at their own Stadion Energa ground. Piast needed a win to climb 2 places over the relegation spot, and Lechia could possibly climb to 3rd with a siege. The game was quickly settled by Piast though, with Jakub Świerczok converting a penalty in the third minute and then captain Jakub Czerwiński heading a ball in from the 6 yard box 29 minutes later. Not much happened after, as Piast put out a really good defensive performance, and managed to deliver the result until the final whistle. With that second win in 3 days Waldemar Fornalik's team climbed up to 14th place, jumping over Podbeskidzie and pushing Stal Mielec into the relegation zone. (3/6)
Nice
Last Ekstraklasa match covered in vol. 12/13 was between Jagiellonia Białystok and Wisła Płock. Bogdan Zając's Jagiellonia team still has high ambitions and beating teams like Wisła is a must-do. But no one expected that kind of result. First goal, a pretty absurd one, came in the 13th minute. Martin Pospisil had a free kick on the edge of the box, and all of the 10 Wisła Płock outfield players formed a wall to stop him from scoring it. That meant no one was left to mark Jakov Puljić, who was standing perfectly in line with the blue wall of Płock, which made Pospisil think of the trivial solution to just pass to him. Puljić, former Croatian league top scorer, is very far from a poor finisher and had absolutely 0 trouble slotting it past Krzysztof Kamiński. Second goal came just 3 minutes later, after Wisła CDM Damian Rasak slipped and lost the ball to Tomas Prikryl, who then assisted former Wisła winger Jesus Imaz scoring the second with a slightly tighter angle finish. After the second half restarted Wisła lost possession immediately, which was opportunistically used by Czech winger Tomas Prikryl again, who sent a great cross to Jakov Puljić. Puljić, being an excellent striker, noticed Krzysztof Kamiński's poor placement and scored a low short post volley into the bottom right corner, making it his 2nd goal of the match. 5 minutes later young winger Dawid Kocyła got one back for Wisła, after a really unlucky bounce off two of Jaga's defenders, but then in the sixty first Martin Pospisil volleyed a rebound ball from a corner into the top left making it 4-1. Soon after Jakov Puljić received a pass from Tomas Prikryl after a very decent Jagiellonia action and completed a hattrick, firing it into the bottom left, with Prikryl making it a hattrick of assist as well. At the end Damian Rasak got one back, but final score was 5-2 to Jagiellonia, placing Wisła manager Radosław Sobolewski's job safety under a big question mark. (4/6)
Good job
ill complete it in a while
And here we go to the 3 matches of I Liga that were played on Sunday. First off, we had ŁKS Łódź playing vs Puszcza Niepołomice - a win could see them launch to 1st place, but they only managed a 4-4 draw, and are still behind Termalica. Odra Opole drew with fellow playoff candidate Górnik Łęczna, and Sandecja got their 3rd point this season with a 1-1 home draw to Radomiak, but are still 4 points away from the safe zone. (5/6)
Table (after today's match, in which Podbeskidzie beat Zagłębie Lubin 2-1). (6/6)

im verry disapointed
i mean i know we would lose but not like that
i wanted us to play passionately, try a more attacking approach
even tho all our strikers and wingers are out
and we only have cams , cdms and defense
but damn i feel bad
hope we win marseille at least
so we can finish 3rd and hope for 2nd if porto does somtehing crazy and loses all 3
but really i think we dont deserve to go through this year
oh well
now we have Aris away from home on Saturday, a team that hasnt lost since early september and then we have Marseille and last place Lamia
If you mean for Gent, I hope so. De Buffalos won on the weekend against Charleoi away, so at least they go into this one with a win. I hope they don't just win, but take the head to head
Is this where all of the non plastics hang out
Maybe
Yes
Well, at least I can say I ain't a plastic
A lot of Premier League 'fans' are plastics/snobs
U Gent fan?
Juventus and Anderlecht are my teams, but I cheer on all the Italian and Belgian clubs in Europe
I really liked the football Gent played last season
If Gent dont win Tomorrow they should stop playing football tbh
It's a pity they'd sacked Jess Thorup at the start of the season
Yeah, they should be ashamed of themselves. Pot 1 team in the group losing to everyone so far
Without Our key players we Are shit and Our bench players Are terrible
4-1 at home to Hoffenheim
Gent have some depth, but the defense is still a problem
We dont even have a Left back bro
Only LB in the team Has covid
So CB Degenek will play LB most likely
Or we might play a 18yo who s a Left winger
On LB
Thats tough
Honestly, if you guys avoid defeat I think you'll go through
Hope Red Star wins, even though it doesnt help Greece
What do you have against Gent @hollow juniper ?😅
Nothing Just that Olympiakos and Red Star are affiliated
And like Brother hood clubs
@frosty hollow thaf Georgian i chekvaetdze? I think i misspelled it and yaremchuk
Spartak Moskva-Olympiakos-Red Star, Red and White family
Chakvetadze. What's do you have against Georgians?😅
U georgian?
Heh
You wouldn't get it
Try me
My georgian friend supports a lot of teams
Now they're all in bad form
I like to make fun of them
Ofc as a joke
Interesting😄
Should be two huge matches
Yeap
ok touchline nitro scammer
Asteras Tripoli 0-0 Apollon Smyrni , yesterdays match , that due to COVID-19 was moved from mid-September to yesterday. Asteras's Leo Tilica was impressive and great going forward creating huge problems but failing to score in a number of occasions. But, Apollon should feel hard done by , as Ioannidis (ex Dortmund striker) , missed an open goal , with Tripoli goalkeeper Papadopoulos (ex Olympiakos 5th choice keeper back in 2011) making an amazing save . Also , Apollon is asking for a penalty in the as minutes of the game , for a handball but after VAR said no , the penalty was never given and the game finished scoreless . Apollon took their 5th point this season , still being close the relegation zone , Asteras on the other hand are closing the gap to Europe in the slowest fashion.
I know that nobody cares but as other guys tell us about the polish league why the hell not talk about the Interwetten Greek Superleague 1 too? lol
I can always get down with long form write ups
Well , AEK Athens have just lost to Zorya Luhansk of Ukraine. A disappointing outing for 'Enosis' , who got smacked at their own back yard with 0-3 , a very different result to the first round away 1-4 win in Luhansk. The Greek team started with a surprising line up including : Athanasiadis , the 2nd choice goalkeeper who played his first official game for the club since being bought by Asteras Tripoli back in 2019 and a nonetheless very defending system of 3-5-2 . The first half was boring , with no real chances from either team but AEK had the control of the ball and was looking better . In the second half , it was a different story . Yevhen Shakov of the greek club got a second harsh yellow card in the 48' minute after an aerial challenge in the middle of the field . Zorya made quick changes so they could adapt to a more attacking play style and they scored , rightfully in the 60th minute . Massimo Carrera (AEK's coach , ex of Spartak Moskva and a big fan of the so called Catenacio ) made changes but it was toο late as Zorya got a second in quick sucsesion and scored a dagger in the last 10 minutes to kill the game off . AEK's european adventure is most likely coming to an end as Braga drew 3-3 with Leicester , to ensure that "Dikefalos of the South " needs to win both games against Leicester and Braga and hope that Braga lose to Zorya aswell
the group standings are : Leicester 10 ,Braga 7, AEK 3 (5-9),Zorya Luhansk 3 (5-9) * AEK leads in head to head , 4-4 in away goals
(AEK 4 away goals - Zorya 3 away goals )
@red kettle AJMO ZVEZDA
@rotund cliff hope u will enjoy the big write up
Another performance a combination of misfortune and poor shooting made the difference for Gent ad they will not be taking part in spring time European football this season
As I read on Voetbalkrant after the game, if this was Gent from last season, there's no way they would've lost that match
I'll tell you what Gent should do. They should hire a damn coach and not sack him for losing two games in a row
^
Another greek defeat in Europe this week... Paok have just lost 3-2 to PSV in the Netherlands after being in front until the 50th minunte with 1-2 , then PSV scored twice in 3 minutes to ensure a wonderful comeback . This was the first time Pablo Garcia has lost since being apointed as an interim coach , after the resignation of Pablo Fereirra after Paok had 5 draws in a raw in the end of september
dudes lost
to fucking njegos petrovic and aleksa vukanovic
we were missing 6 players
^
The AZ/Sociedad match seemed like it would be fireworks but it was actually PSV/PAOK lol
Lech...
I fucking hate Cyprus
I want Cyprus to fuck off honestly
stop playing football
because?
first Omonia knocks us out of UCL
and now a Cypriot scores in 90+4 to deny Lech any points
lol
Omonoia play the most anti-attacking football ever
i mean i watched the Olympiakos-Omonoia game back in September and they didnt have any shots
Laifis is probably Cyprus's best player alongside Sotiriou of Astana ( ex-Copenhagen)
How many points has lech got ?
3
and how many has standar?
also 3 after yesterday
so its almost over
yeah kinda
yeah thats bad
but even with a sraaw that was the case
draw*
u would have needed to beat both the scots and the portuguese
well
always a coeff boost vs Belgium
better to be unbeaten vs Belgian teams in Europe
poland is far away from belgium in the rankings though
i mean poland is under the top 23 or sth
and belgium is top 12
LETS FUCKING GOOO
Just tell Debeljuh to score in the right net this time
Maul's Liga 1 of the Day Vol 11: 22 and 23 November 2020
First match of Sunday involved FC Hermannstadt and Astra Giurgiu, both teams were coming off 1-1 draws against Sepsi and Dinamo respectively. First chance of the game came in the 17th minute when Astra's goalie, David Lazar, made a good save on Jo Santos' free kick. Astra's first chance came in the 29th minute, when Valentin Gheorghe danced through Hermannstadt's box but his shot afterwards went wide. Another chance came in the 43rd minute but Budescu's shot was blocked. The resulting corner was played short by Budescu, the ball coming back to him so he took a shot but Hermannstadt's keeper Cristiano was attentive and punched the ball away. Another chance for Astra in the 47th minute but Claudiu Belu blocked Valentin Gheorghe's pass which was looking for former Lech Poznan man Mihai Răduţ. 5 minutes later, Cristiano made another fine save, this time on Danijel Graovac's header. Daniel Lazar made a great double-save in the 73rd minute, on Goran Karanovic and Jo Santos' shots from inside the box. Hermannstadt's Fabio Fortes tried a curler from the edge of the box but it went wide in the 75th minute. A chance for Astra in the 82nd minute, Budescu playing a good pass to Valentin Gheorghe which scored for Astra with a good finish after dribbling past Ionuţ Stoica. This win was the second win of the season for Astra. Astra remained on the last spot on the table meanwhile Hermannstadt didn't fall from the 12th place.
theres no way CFR Chuj Cluj is beating current 1st place in Russia
Next game involved the defending champions CFR Cluj and the Liga 2 winners last season UTA Arad. CFR were coming off a 2-0 away win vs Argeş and UTA last lost 3-1 vs Gaz Metan at home. First chance of the game came in the 7th minute when Camora spotted Mario Rondon perfectly but the venezuelan striker's shot was one of the weakest shots I've ever seen. Another chance in the 16th min for CFR, but William Soares' shot was catched by Florin Iacob. Alexandru Chipciu had the chance to score his first goal for CFR but he decided to head the ball even though he was free on goal and could have stopped the ball at his feet. Erico da Silva almost scored an own goal in the 41th minute but Florian Iacob made a fine save to keep the ball out. Chipciu hit the post 1 minute later with a good shot and Mario Rondon's header went wide. UTA had their first chance in the 51th minute after an error from Denis Ciobotariu but Bălgrădean made a good save on Ioan Hora's shot. In the 75th minute Valentin Buhăcianu made a great run and then passed it to Ioan Hora which took a good shot from outside the box to make it 1-0 for UTA. Another great save from Iacob, this time on Camora's free kick in the 79th minute. Another good chance for CFR 3 minutes later but Gabriel Debeljuh's header went off target. Another chance for Debeljuh in the 88th min but this time Iacob saved his header. 1 minute later, Păun's shot at the near post was also caught by Iacob. This win put UTA on the 5th place until at least Sepsi's game with Chindia meanwhile CFR remained 3rd.
ah yes
this Cluj guy is Mario Rondon
Indeed, good thing we are playing CSKA Sofia then
lol
CSKA Sofia beat Basel
Stergiou of St Gallen is a fucking diamond
St Gallen has plenty of diamonds
it sucks that he has chosen the swiss nationality and not Greece
because they focused on UEL, which they got into quarters of
true
St Gallen has also Miro Muheim at LB, Ati Zigi as the GK, Kwadwo Duah, Yannis Letard
all have potential to be decent in the future
had
I know
lol
I just slightly pointed out that we're discussing what they have rn
rafa u are swiss?
or romanian?
a yes
i remember the lech anger at the morning
First game of Monday involved Chindia Târgovişte and Sepsi Sf Gheorghe, two teams with good starts to the season. Chindia were coming off their shock win vs Craiova and Sepsi drew last time out vs Hermannstadt. First chance of the game came in the 29th minute when Claudiu Petrila's shot was easily saved by Mihai Aioani. 10 minutes later, Răzvan Tincu made a big error and Denis Dumitraşcu scored a great goal from the resulting error, a great finish from outside the box. Another easy catch from Mihai Aioani in the 58th min, this time on a shot from Florin Purece. Gabriel Vaşvari's free kick in the 66th min also turned out to be an easy catch for Aioani. Adnan Aganovic equalised for Sepsi 3 minutes later, scoring a deflected goal from outside the box. In the 77th min, the ball fell to Anass Achahbar after a scramble outside the box, the former Feyenoord man tried it and scored another beautiful goal for Sepsi, after the one against Dinamo. This win helped Sepsi climb up to 4th meanwhile Chindia remained 8th.
Alr will cover Gaz Metan vs Steaua after my DEL match
yeah he is, scored a good goal vs Podbeskidzie last month
hes even more legendary for saving Wisła from bankruptcy after some Burman businessman scammed them
wow
I thought I'm only one that saw him as a great player in the future
He's a good player that going to get much better in the future
St. Gallen, despite of being "frauds" as Ady stated, have an excellent youth academy
Like Stergiou, Guillemenot, and Fazliji as the notable ones right now
And there's more coming up for St. Gallen
Huge game tomorrow in the Greek Superleague . Its Aris Thessaloniki vs Olympiakos at Kleanthis Vikelidis, Aris ground. Its the first two teams ( both equal on points with 6 wins and 1 draw ) , playing each other for the fourth time in 2020 ( 3 times last season ) . Aris are coming from a narrow win against Panaitolikos with 0-1 after a penalty was scored from top scorer Bruno Gama. Olympiakos have lost to Manchester City 0-1 in their last game but are still unbeaten away in the Greek league since February 2019 , when they lost ot eventual winners PAOK 3-1. Aris changed their manager at the start of the season , after a disappointing elimination to Kolos Kovavlivka of Ukraine in the 2nd europa league qualifying round. They appointed Akis Mantzios, ex player of the club and ex Lamia coach. Olympiacos have the same manager since 2018 in Pedro Martins , being the most succesfull manager of Olympiacos history in Europe . Both teams want to win in order to go top of the league by their own and build a lead for the post season playoffs ( Starting in March ) . Aris haven't won against Olympiakos either home or away since 2009 ! Actually since then Aris has always lost in the league except for 3 draws . Aris have their best league headstart in their history since their last league win back in 1942 ! Aris has got 3 league titles ( 1928,1932,1942) while Olympiakos has 45 on their name , being also the champions of last season . But , if Aris can win Olympiakos some day in the near future it will be tomorrow as the reds are lacking in-form striker Hassan , due to COVID , as well as Serbian starlet Lazar Radjelovic. Bruma and veteran Valbuena are also absent and wolves loanee Vinagre isn't included in the 23-man squad.
yeah the thing is that they are kinda of a meme team in Greece as they havent won anything since 1970
despite being one of the only six teams to win the league
Red star had an eye on their players
seven*
Who are the rest
Panathinaikos sorry for misspelling Olympiacos and paok are what i know
Olympiakos 45 , Panathinaikos 20, AEK 13 , PAOK 3 , Aris 3 , Ethnikos Pireus 2 , Larrisa 1
Oh
Ethnikos is shite though , they are in the 4th tier and they won the leagues in 1926 and 1927
Lol
he is a beast
Yes
i want him for olympiakos lol
I think there was another let me chevk
I was wrong
Yeah garcia was in red star
He was good in the start
But there wasn't space in our squad
So he didn't play much after
yeah i see
i remember that he played against us last season in the champo
when we won thanks to that idiotic penalty
i mean what was that guy thinking
the press in greece said that it might have been match fixing
but i dont thnik so
think*
I think that too
But doesn't matter
You deserved it more
You didn't lose 6-0 5-0 and 4-0
either way we are brothers nonetheless
Yes
Why
cause i was away on a school trip ( last year i was 18 in the last grade ) , now 19 in university
we were at Creta lol
yeah we drunk vodka on the beach

and someone was caught smoking weed in the ship
I would always pick a game over anything
classic greek shithousery

Wtf
@lapis wedge what if the game is hermannstadt vs voluntari
I mean red star game
i watched the game in the middle of the aegean lol
lol
in the ship's tv
Eh
Imagine if red star v Olympiacos happen again
Or idk u finish 1st
Can't wait for 1-0 win vs Young Boys
To qualify to the knockout stages
Early Deac goal
Then 11 players in goal
nothing beats a 90' penalty to qualify to the next round lol
Lol
Or yh that
hope we face red star in the round of 32 this year
Did you guys see red stars first minute goal against gent yesterday
That would probably 3-2/ 4-2 aggregate score win for you
Olympiacos is better than red star no doubt
if we have all our players fit
damn and u still won
we were missing all of our wingers and attackers against man.city and we lost 0-1
Wow
we had no shots until 88' minute
I saw you almost equalised
Imagine if you shithoused a draw
Eh
and hope porto loses to manchester city
ore we need to draw marseille to finish 3rd
Tbf Porto will be hard
or*
Marseille is shit and you can beat porto
Where is the Porto game?
i say can
Greece or Portugal?
Greece
O
Oh then no
Then it is possible
H2h counts first
yeah if we score 5 against marseille
Wait you lost 2-0 or 3-0 Against Porto?
In the group
2-0
Oh
but they have a better goal difference
Marseille still hasn't scored lol
we have 1-6 they have 7 - 3 i think
At least 1-0
hopefully smack them 4-0
Yes
city smack
Doubt it will be only 1-0 tbh
actually if porto wins city , then porto will finish first smh
if they obviously win us
either way its tough for second , i will be happy with 3rd
we havent been to ucl knockouts since 2014
Well
when we won manchester united 2-0 at home and then lost 3-0 away
Oh
You were really good last season
In the group
Put up a fight against spurs and bayern
yeah
i was in karaiskakis against purs
spurs
we almost won against bayern smh
well
almost drew most likely
And Against spurs too
And then shit happened
only to lose 4-2
I'm so happy red star got through
And this time scored over 3 goals
In 2017/2018 red star got through with 3:2 goal difference
in wuropa?
Yes
Idfk
lol
We conceded Against bate 1-1 and 0-0 0-0 and 1-0 loss Against arsenal and 2 1-0 wins against koln
0-0 twice with milan, 1-1 and 0-0 with austria and won 1-0 rijeka and then 0-0 against rijeka
and finished 2nd
with 2-1
Oh
gd
😂
Such a shithousery
Dinamo zagreb was doing the same
Their gd was 1:0 after 3 games
Now it's 4:0
hahha
They could keep a clean sheet all 6 games
still u have qualified most likely
except if slovan liberec beats u
and then beats gent
Has to beat us 4-0 or 5 goal margin
sure
If that happens
I'm gonna cry literally
Yeah chances are low
anyways gtg i have to do some hw , cya later on
Cya
Time to cover the last game
Last game of Monday involved Gaz Metan and Steaua Bucureşti. Both teams coming off victories against UTA Arad and FC Botoşani, respectively. First chance of the game came in the 5th minute for Steaua, when Olimpiu Moruţan hit the post with a low shot after ending Mihai Velisar's career. 6 minutes later, the same Moruţan crossed the ball and former Gaz Metan man Darius Olaru headed it home giving Steaua the lead. Another former Gaz Metan man, Valentin Creţu gave them a penalty after fouling Luis Niţu inside the box in the 15th minute. Ronaldo Deaconu didn't miss and equalised for Gaz Metan, scoring his 5th goal of the season. Ionuţ Vînă tried to score a rocket outside the box but the ball went over the bar in the 23rd minute. 2 minutes later, Alexandru Buzbuchi made a great save to stop Moruţan's effort from inside the box. Another great save from Buzbuchi in the 31st minute on Florin Tănase, but the ball went back to Steaua's no 10 which squared it to an unmarked Olaru which scored his second of the game. In the 44th min Sergiu Buş had the chance to score against his former club but the Steaua forward hit the post with his shot from outside the box. 4 minutes into the 2nd half, Gaz Metan had a chance too but Ricardo Valente's header was caught by Andrei Vlad. A chance for Steaua 1 minute later, but Sergiu Buş attempted to square it to Moruţan instead of just shooting it, and Buzbuchi caught his pass. A great save by Vlad in the 53rd minute on Valente's shot from near the 6 yard box. Valente had another chance in the 60th minute after Dumitru Cardoso's great pass and he didn't miss this time, making it 2-2 with a good finish. 2 minutes later, Cardoso had the chance to give Gaz Metan the lead but his header went wide. In the 76th minute, Ronaldo Deaconu spotted Andrei Vlad which was way off his line, and tried, from the halfway line, to score but his shot unfortunately didn't find the target.
In the same minute, Sergiu Buş had another chance to score but his shot went a little bit wide. Valente had another chance to score in the 88th min, but his shot was saved by Andrei Vlad. In the 89th minute, the official Sebastian Colţescu gave a controversial penalty to Steaua after Mihai Butean allegedly fouled Octavian Popescu inside the box. Sergiu Buş converted the pen, giving Steaua the 3 pts, helping them climb up to 1st 2 points ahead of Craiova. Meanwhile Gaz Metan remained 9th.
League table
Charleroi wtf
Midtjylland to beat AaB after lackluster CL group stage showings and Aberdeen sure as shit better beat St. Mirren. Their last few matches have been rough.
SOLIGORSK CHAMPIONS
What a final round of matches in Belarus though
Zhodino finished third, qualifying for Europe
ΑΕ Larissa against Atromitos has started if anyone wants to see a greek mid table clash lol
but the big match is in 2 hours
Ahmed Hassan of Olympiacos has tested negative of COVID19 and will play against Marseille at Tuesday
Koka!
the Plovdiv Derby beggins in about 15 mins
Lokomotiv Plovdiv - Botev Plovdiv
one of the fiercest rivalries in Bulgaria
i will probs post updates here
Loko fans put on a banner in honour of Diego Maradona on the main stand
before the game obviously as no fans are allowed
Nice from them
Ae Larissa 0-0 Atromitos after 44' i really regret watching this game
nothing is really goin on
about 3 shots in total
poor performance from both
Tf
no wonder Larissa are 11th
but how the fuck is Atromitos 5th
wth i just realised lol
Larissa made a shot with young future star Pinakas but Atromitos keeper Ganniotis kept it out with ease
HT in Alkazar,Larissa
0-0
i think we wil have a 0-0 here
Ael is actually playing dogshit
*larissa
Lokomotiv already leading 2-0
Crazy stat by Larissa , they havent scored in the first half of any game this season and in the last 4 games of last post-season
they always start their games shit
Botev have fallen a lot huh
Michail of Larissa went out injured after a knock , Muzek in 55' still 0-0
but AE Larissa are playing in a higher tempo now
@hollow juniper one of the teams will roll in a shitry goal
very possible
to think that Larissa has won the league once and the cup twice and for them to be midtable since 22015 is so sad
they always finish 8-12
like always
2015*
yeah, they are dreadful this season
and they have some financial troubles
Younes of AE Larissa was through one on one but he was just a fraction offside
61'
66' still 0-0 , first change for Larissa
Atromitos had a decent chance but the finish was awful
73' still 0-0
77' another chance for Atromitos but the shot might have just ended outside the ground
Great foul from Mounith , almost went in , Larissa goalkeeper , Nagy saved it hard , 83'
still 0-0
we are in the 92nd out of 4 minutes added on
Ooof
and thats that
0-0 FT
In probably one of the worst games of the season so far , AE Larissa drew 0-0 with Atromitos .Both sides were equally bad and both teams wasted time from the early stages of the game . No team was actually better , that is clear from the amount of shots (6-6 , with each team having 2 shots on target ) and the possesion of the ball was 51-49 in favor of Atromitos . The best chance was in the 83 minute when Atromitos's Spaniard Munith had a free-kick saved by Hungarian Larissa goalkeeper , Nagy . Other than that the game was boring and i sure feel that i have lost 2 hours of my life . Michael , of AE Larissa left the pitch injured in the early stages of the second half and as the reporter has just said he is going at the nearest hospital to check the damage . Anyways, Atromitos is 5th right now with 13 points after 10 games and AE Larissa is 11th with 6 points after 8 games ( 2 games were cancelled due to COVID19 symptoms at Larissa's camp earlier in the season )
Hopefully , the derby which starts in 10 minutes isn't as boring
5-0 Lokomotiv
This might potentially be the biggest ever win they have recorded in the Battle for Plovdiv
6-0 Lokomotiv

Nice
After a Fortounis foul the whole Aris defence forgot about Olympiakos's captain, Bouchalakis, in the far post who scored in an empty net, as everyone was in the near post, even the goalkeeper
Thats what i like too see
Things get firey
A minor fight between portuguese Ruben Semedo of Olympiakos and Bruno Gama of Aris resulted in a yellow for the Olympiakos international
0-1 HT
Vaduz 3-1 up vs Sion
about to be their first league win since coming back
I hope they can stay up
4-1 now
0-2 from Bouchalakis once more!
Amazing cross from Fortounis to the far post and the Greek defensive midfielder volleyed the ball, after it first hit the ground, in to the bottom right corner
46' was the 2nd goal, now we enter the 52'
Great team play by Aris, Bertoglio passes to Xande Sliva, who passes back to the Argentine, in the area of Olympiakos, the Latino shot and scored! 1-2 Olympiakos still leads in the 76'
1-2FT
siuuu
big news
Wisła Kraków manager Artur Skowronek sacked
they're about to appoint their 3rd manager in the year 2020
Shocker. Let's hope that they get a competent manager. I'd love to see them return to European football sometime soon
that's unlikely
highly unlikely
this whole situation is stupid because with the signings they made in the last 2 seasons they should already be top 5 safely
they just one day slipped into the bottom 8 and got into massive financial problems, tried to save themselves by contacting some shady Burman businessman, he scammed them and got them into even more debt so they had to make the entire city + Kuba Błaszczykowski donate money to them in a big charity action, eventually survived but has been finishing just above relegation in the last 2 years
and after today's loss (which I will cover on Monday to avoid the chat getting flooded with monologues) it's likely that it will stay the same for more
at least its not fluminense or wherever Keisuke Honda went to, they fired 3 coaches in 3 months
Botafogo
3 coaches in 3 months? Bruh
Good job
Ural v Sochi soon!
15 minutes
Aberdeen let me down today giving up that 2nd goal to St-Mirren.
There was no way Aberdeen could equalize in that last little bit. They got deflated conceding at 88'
bruh Aberdeen
yeah that's who I watch over in that league 😛
Time to practice my Russian
Ural is still 5 points down from top 10 on the table
So even a win here doesn't get them much, but it's really needed
O interesting
its the 11th month of 2020
prepare for war
Yes
Third game of the weekend in Greece :Panathinaikos 2-1 Panaitolikos . Panathinaikos started strongly in this and attacked from the get go . Aitor scored early , but he was ruled offside for inches , later on ex-United reject Macheda scored to make the greens go up 1-0 inside 20 minutes . PAO scored a second thanks to Panaitolikos defender , Liavas who made probably the worst clearance of all-time in the 42'. In the second half Panathinaikos scored again in the 52' just for Mauricio's goal to be ruled offside because Aitor's hand was off and he was the one who made the final pass to the Brazilian. Pao controlled the tempo and looked certain for a much needed win , but Sanchez conceded a penalty in the 92' to give Panaitolikos a slight chance of an unlikely comeback . Mazzola stepped up and scored in the 95th minute to make it 2-1 but it was too late for the 'Canarines'l. Panathinaikos has got 12 points now after 10 games and is just outside the playoffs , while Panaitolikos is still winless with 4 draws in 10 games and in 13th ( out of 14 ) place.
Nice
Thanks 👍🏾
Both of us aren’t in great form
And in your last league game, Bodart scored 😅
You’re from brussels ?
Oof
Up the Jamaican NTs overall
I tried to stay awake during Ural's match this morning, but at 4am it's a bit rough. They did beat Sochi 1-0 though
I was still fast asleep at 4am😅😅
Swansea pulled off the win against Nottingham I see. Still don't think they have what it takes to promote and stay
oh shit! Hull City blew their FA Cup spot losing in pens to Stevenage? Ouch
Celtic is out of the League Cup too I think. Lost 0-2 to Ross County.
Marine is 8th tier? Hell yeah
that's what I like to see
Over the moon about this😁👌🏾
looks like Rangers will advance though so not an entire day of upsets
I hope they go on to win it
Their two biggest threats (Celtic and Aberdeen) are out
i havent watch these games , so i cant right an review of the games but here are the scores:
Lamia 0-2 PAOK
OFI 2-1 PAS Giannina ( derby game )

Also here is a bit of trivia for anyone (probably none of u tbh) that may ask why OFI vs PAS is considered a derby as Pas is located near Albania and OFI is in Crete ,two places far away from one another . In 2001 , PAS and OFI finished on same points near the relegation zone and as both games between them were draws and goal difference was not a rule in Greece , a one-legged playoff was decided to happen in the neutral pitch of Diagoras in Rhodes. OFI won 2-0 and stayed in the division , but prior to the game fans fought each other in the streets of the island and PAS fans actually run to the nearest beach in order to get away from OFI's ones. Although the fans of the so-called Ajax of Epirus , stroke back after the game , by waiting the OFI fans outside of the stadium and a new round of fighting started. Police had to step in and take matters to their own hands , by fighting both groups. When the two teams met again after that game in the second tier some years later , fights and havoc were caused again. In 2011 , the year PAS made their long-waited return to the first tier , if i am correct, the Greek federation halted away fans in games between the two teams, but many fans travelled nonetheless ..... The rivalry is still strong ,in 2018 Pas fans made a banner that was presenting the Crete island with a bomb in the place of the Ofi stadium, Heraklion. In many greek fans opinion this rivalry is underrated and easily forgotten because the two teams are from different places
Wtf
Yes
Didn't expect that but that's was lol
How many total matches of the Ekstraklasa are there?
30 rounds of normal season and 7 rounds of the championship/relegation groups
Ahh i see
I heard. Not surprising. They're unhappy about letting a cup go for a season 😁
284👌🏾
Αpollon Smyrni 3-3 Volos 2017 great game , Volos scored 3 in the last 30 minutes
I saw
Here's the list of countries (excluding the top five) that have done better than Russia this season:
🇮🇱 Israel
🇨🇾 Cyprus
🇬🇷 Greece
🇵🇹 Portugal
🇷🇴 Romania
🇧🇪 Belgium
🇵🇱 Poland
🇺🇦 Ukraine
🇩🇰 Denmark
🇳🇴 Norway
🇭🇺 Hungary
🏴 Scotland
These are very worrying developments.
This is really worrying for Russian Football
Israel and Cyprus

National teams or league
how did we do better than russia really
because we weren't relegated from our UNL group? eh
i mean greek teams have won 5 games , drawn 3 and lost 11
how is this better than Russian teams lol
and Cypriot teams have 6 win,2 draws and 7 losses
if im not wrong
I ain't complaining one bit😁😁
UEFA club competitions
The four Russian clubs have not won a match in the group stages of a UEFA competition this season. In fact only Krasnodar and (I think) Rostov have won matches at all including qualifying
Krasnodar did
Twice Against paok
Rostov lost Against maccabi haifa
I don't think they won
It has been decided that 9 of December will be the second date of trial of the PAOK-Xanthi scandal. The first one was back in July but CAS said that a second trial has to happen before CAS makes the ultimate decision. PAOK's owner is accused of buying Xanthi stocks and subsequently buying the club as a whole in 2019. The case is under investigation since last January after journalists from Olympiakos's owner ,Evangellos Marinakis, channel suggested that the clubs are co-owned by one man. PAOK was deducted 7 points last season before the court happen , just to take them back after an appeal was made , because there was no court decision at the time. Xanthi was deducted 14 points but they didn't appeal to take them back , which led to them finishing 13th and getting relegated after playing an interdivision playoff with the 2nd place team of the second tier , Apollon Smyrni. Then owner of Xanthi , Panopoulos sold the club to Austrialian millionaire buisnessman Bill Papas , who also owns Sydney Fc if i am not wrong and has 5% shares of Liverpool. A long waited trial is probably coming to an end in a weeks time and the whole of Greece is still arguing about PAOK's influence to Xanthi
A fourth party interested in this situation besides Olympiacos , Xanthi and PAOK is AE Larissa owner Alexis Kougias , who has stated numerous times about this situation in the press that PAOK was indeed a parent club of Xanthi as evidence shows , evidence that he cannot show to court as he is afraid of his life. Kougias is well-known for a bad relationship with Xanthi throughout the years , as Xanthi likes to mock him whenever they can with chants about his height (1,75) and of him being gay , even though he isn't as he has one son and is married to a wife for over a decade .
Greek football and shithousery at its finest people, try to beat this
Also a common question is what will happen in any outcome of the trial ? If PAOK is found guilty , then the case will go back at CAS to make the ultimate decision , which will either be relegating the two teams to the second and the third division respectively or calling Greek justice wrong and deciding to maintain the two clubs to their division status , which will lead PAOK making an appeal for Olympiakos to be relegated alongside AE Larissa for hearsaying
PAOK's owner is the guy that came to the pitch with a gun, right?
Yeah Savvidis
their vice-president stated back in February that if this happen a civil war will start with them as front runners for the North
Football can really change the life of millions in some cases
i mean
i know thats an invalid threat to try to persuade greek justice to not find them guilty but its still shocking
A) Greeks are mad when it comes to football
B) PAOK ultras are some of the craziest around
C) Salonika hates Athens anyways, imagine if one of the three big clubs of Salonika, potentially the biggest, gets relegated because of Olympiakos
it is an invalid threat most probably but it would still be riots probs lmao
yeah pure chaos will happen
i hate PAOK personally after what happened with the Bulgarian lad
and they are friends with Partizan, ew
in Salonika, Iraklis only
i mean Iraklis has been relegated 3 times because of not having a renewed tax info in the past
PAOK fans murdered a Botev Plovdiv fan back in one of the last Salonika derbies
Greek justice isnt afraid to relegate another big Greek club
where are Iraklis now actually?
6th tier
they were promoted from 7th last season
having Emmanuel Perone as their striker lol
39 year old Argentian scoring 20+ goals in greek 7th tier
u can't make this up
yeah and Panions has been relegated from first to the 4th tier this season cause of debt
yikes
Greek historic clubs are getting ruined by owners
the team i like from the first div now is Crete
Iraklis had 2 Canadians at the helm before getting relegated due to debt
Canadians and football
OFI?
damn they are a well run club
they have a decent following as well when it comes to dans
fans*
Gate 4 they were called if im not mistaken
decent lads
or 'Snakes'
cause ofi means snake in ancient greek
Even though O.F.I is an acronym to Omilos Filathlon Irakleiou ( Group of Heraklium Fans )
they are from Heraklion, right?
yes
well respected club by most Greeks i must say
but their ground needs a revamp , its very small and dangerous . It looks like a cage
Which in some way is fitting as its named after a Turkish jail that used to exist at the island
''Genti Koule"
yeah, quite fitting then hahaha
sounds like the away sector of Ludogorets
literally a fucking cage
shame that ludogorets's home sector isnt so intense
ludogorets have no fans lmao
their sector cant be intense cause their so called "ultras" are clowns
Green Front
even the chores they make are premade by the club itself
choreos*
yeah cause the club is 13 years old
for anyone that has just joined ,if you'd like read what i have written a couple of minutes earlier about the PAOK scandal 👀
shots fired
Ludogorets aren't even that good of a club
Just bribe the refs
That's all they do
Ludogorets drew with LIverpool a couple of years ago
if i am not mistaken
when they were drawn with Real Madrid,Basel and Liverpool
2014/15 i think
true, they were decent back then
but they have always been supported by the refs
so blatantly as well
@hidden valley Łukasz Szukała is coming back from retirement to join Academica Clinceni

I remember him scoring a title winning goal for Steaua
Good defender
He also got some caps for Poland right?
yeah
obstawiam że bayern wygra 3-0
Yes, we play football here too😅
I was raised in Canada
Belgian football was something I was always interested in. Good, competitive football. I was attracted to Anderlecht as a lad because of the attractive football they play
time for ekstraklasa roundup

ESA of the week 27.11-01.12 2020
First up on the 27th we had Wisła Płock who just got rid of their sporting director taking on Cracovia home, with the away side being favourites for obvious reasons. Wisła's ground is also being reworked right now so instead of the stands there are giant piles of rubble and dust, which combined with poor lighting creates a grim atmosphere - atmosphere which certainly didn't help Wisła win, as Michał Probierz's Cracow based side won 1-0 after a 16th minute half-volley strike from Florian Loshaj. This win placed Wisła on par with other 3 teams in the bottom 4 tied on points, but that'll be talked about more later on. "Nafciarze" (Wisła Płock's pseudonym, means "The Oilmen") had plenty of COVID cases recently, hence why Sobolewski is still in the job, but that may change soon. (1/10)
1/10??
I wanted to read it but 10 is a bit too much
next up we had Górnik Zabrze playing Pogoń Szczecin home, and it was a clash of two highly placed teams who both had a chance to jump onto the third place in case of a win. Marcin Brosz's Górnik despite losing their best striker to ISL club FC Goa are performing even better than they used to with Jesus Jimenez leading the attacking bloc now (8 goals in 12 games this Ekstraklasa season, for example last year he had 12 in 37). Hubert Matynie looked shaky from the start at Pogoń's left back position, as he could have 2 OGs after 12 minutes already if not for Dante Stipica's amazing reflexes. Although that didn't seem to harm Pogoń that much, as in the 16th minute Portuguese-born Polish midfielder Tomas Podstawski was left unmarked at the far post during a corner, and after receiving a good cross passed it to Maciej Żurawski who slotted it into an empty net. Unfortunately for the Portsmen, 15 minutes later Górnik absolutely stormed their goal and after saving two shots, Stipica finally let one past him - but then, it was saved on the goalline by Hubert Matynia...except with his left hand. The 25 y/o leftback was instantly sent off and Jesus Jimenez converted the penalty leveling it down. Later on in the second half Bartosz Nowak made it 2-1 for Górnik with a low shot into the bottom left corner, but it caused a lot of controversy as earlier in the build up Adrian Gryszkiewicz instead of heading the ball, nudged it with his arm to a teammate. Fortunately for Pogoń 16 minutes later Alexander Gorgon made it 2-2, but again - one of Szczecin's players was offside during the shot, and he blocked Martin Chudy's view of the ball, so the referee called it offside. Finally Górnik managed to bring the 3 points home and jumped up to the 3rd place, but not without any complains on the referee's work. (2/10)
I can do the other 5 tomorrow idk
I agree its too much but now as there's SPFL roundup, Liga I roundup and Ekstraklasa roundup it has to be compressed
The third match of the week could be truly shocking, as then last place in the league Stal Mielec took on solidly performing Jagiellonia who was sitting mid table and coming off a fresh 5-2 win against Wisła Płock. Stal's first match under new coach Leszek Ojrzyński ended in a 2-2 draw vs Zagłębie, so the fans had their reasons to be optimistic. And to the despair of Jaga fans, Bogdan Zając's team bottled another piss easy game, starting in the 4th minute when Marcin Flis put in a precise low shot into the bottom left. Fortunately for them young winger Przemysław Mystkowski leveled it down 2 minutes later with a powerful curved shot off the bar that was chosen the goal of the week, and it was looking better for the Podlaskie team, until in the second half Grzegorz Tomasiewicz headed home a good Kamil Kościelny cross, putting Stal up. Jagiellonia dominated the match but was finally silenced in 90+2 when young forward Łukasz Zjawiński tapped a ball in from the 6 yard box, making it 3-1. Phenomenal win for Stal and a very good start for their new coach Ojrzyński who has proven to be able to save teams from relegation, that saw them jump out of the relegation zone above Podbeskidzie and Piast. (3/10)

💶 Sources say that we could see an interesting swap deal between Krasnodar and CSKA that would see Ilzat Akhmetov and Daniil Utkin switch teams.
Thoughts? https://t.co/OIUnQhJMr6
