Jagiellonia Białystok will play against the Lithuanian FK Panevezys in the 2nd round of Champions League qualifying. The distance to travel to an away match is only 350 km. FK Panevezys advanced with a 1-1 draw with HJK Helsinki after winning 3-0 in the first match. Jagiellonia are taking part in the fight for the Champions League for the first time in their history. In the return match, HJK took the lead in the 38th minute thanks to a goal by Lee Erwin. Ernestas Veliulis scored the equalizing goal to make it 1-1 for FK Panevezys before the end of the first half (45'). Coach Toni Korkeakunnas made three changes from the 46th minute, but the result of the match against FK Panevezys did not change. FK Panevėžys were established as a successor to the bankrupt Ekranas club. FK Panevėžys won their first Lithuanian championship in 2023.
