lets take a look at Fatih Terim's prefered style of football. In his final few seasons of galatasaray, despite everything he cooked a mean sum of results, trophies and consitent european football. However, there is a drawback to this. The type of football he plays, i'd compare it to Mourinho. very traditionalist. Favoring posession, slow passes and moving up the pitch in a controlling and slow matter. not the funnest football to watch, but it is effective with the right players. the reason why fatih terim didnt do well in the 21/22 season, is because of the kinda names at his disposal. Victor Nelsson, Sacha Boey, Berkan Kutlu, Kerem Akturkoglu, these footballers are not meant for a slow, controllive, short passes kind of football, with barely any longballs. These footballers are fast, gets inbetween lines and takes big risks. This is the type of football we have now, the more modern form, hence why our european form this season was better than all the previous seasons bar 2013/14. The kind of football Terim plays, from what i can see from the pana squad is not a well suiting structure. whatever you wanna do about that is about to pana fans. you can either go the manager way and get players that fit his style of play or get a manager that fit the players. not my place to suggest anything. To compare, defenders in our current squad, often move up to the midfield, or play in a 3 semi CB while the fullbacks go up the pitch. with Terim you dont really see this, the CBs do CB stuff, the fullbacks do defense work and football is played slowly. When we had players like Belhanda, this wasnt a problem. ok i'll end it here sorry its one of those hours where my brain writes essays
