Proud and very happy with the players' attitude until the last whistle. At the end of the historic defeat against Luxembourg, Roberto Martínez recognized the Portuguese team's inspired night and the importance of qualifying for the 2024 European Championship getting closer and closer.
“I'm certainly proud. It's a very important victory and it was easy to lose concentration, as well as professionalism. I really liked the attitude of the players and it's good that this record goes down in the history of Portuguese football", he began by telling Sport TV.

Portugal group summary
After another night of qualifying games for Euro 2024, the scenario becomes increasingly clear in group J, which includes Portugal. This Monday, Slovakia calmly beat Liechtenstein 3-0 and Iceland beat Bosnia, near the end, 1-0.

«The Arbitration College unanimously decides to judge the arbitration request presented by the Claimant (Adán) as valid and declares the nullity raised and the invalidity of the acts carried out after the presentation of the defense by the Claimant, and, consequently, the case must be returned to the Defendant (FPF)", reads the agreement published on the organization's official website.
