Plus Süper Lig TOTW 4
Djiku and Samuel
But to everyone who is listening
Would you giv a red card?
Of course AEK can't win without breaking the rules
Bardhi and abdus yessss
Abdus 2 asist
Bardhi 2 goal
@molten cloud would you give the red card?
yeah
Yeah red for sure
New season?
Alright
I have a psv shirt but it's a home shirt
it's interesting that kerem is there
he was good in the league though
this is only for league
Loko is negotiating the transfer of Wilson Isidor with Olympiacos, Сrvena Zvezda and an unnamed Turkish club
https://twitter.com/HellasFooty/status/1698620744358613146?t=oskTQwEmD3mAg5u53160qA&s=19
lol he blew up everything to go to Red Star
Volos insanity continues, Dominik Kružliak has had his contract terminated after he conceded a 92nd minute penalty against AEK, who won 2-3 yesterday
Yeah... It was pretty disrespectful to Fener when they condemned like "blood in your hands"...
Politics out of football
yeah
-Dynamo Kiev fans burn Turkish flag
-No problem
-Dynamo Kyiv players acts racist to Fener fans
-Fener fans reply with singing Vladmir Putin
-FeNEr mUsT ApoLOGisE
People made it out of context and only showed Fener fans saying Putin
yep
18!?
I bought my Braga shirt, in their official shop, for only 15€
Why? cause it was 80% off + end of partnership with Hummel
Even I didn't know that initially and condemned fans
Cheapest jersey I got was 8€
I wish I could pay for only that 😭
Weird thing about Kiev/Kyiv thing. They only care about how it's written in English. Meanwhile German and other languages keep Kiev and they don't care. XD
Leipzig has ascended into the amateur divisions of Croatian football
Do you know that Sofascore is a Croatian app?
Cool
How the hell did leipzig reach the Croatian fucking 5th division or something
They're in the amateur division of Croatian football
They've ascended past the Bundesliga
Second football league matches
There were six red cards in the Saturday matches of the second football league, in which KKS 1925 Kalisz and Wisła Puławy were victorious. The judges sent off two players each from GKS Jastrzębie and Stal Stalowa Wola and one from Wisła Puławy, but only Duma Powiśle scored points, beating Sandecja Nowy Sącz 2:1. Wisła turned the score around, defeating the opponent with shots from Retlewski and Skałecki.
Wisła Puławy is fourth in the second league table, just behind KKS 1925 Kalisz, which won 1:0 over Stal Stalowa Wola. Olimpia Elbląg also won 2:1 against GKS Jastrzębie, the other two matches ended in draws. Pogoń Siedlce drew 1:1 with Polonia Bytom, and the rivalry between Olimpia Grudziądz and Skra Częstochowa ended with the result 0:0.
It was a day full of emotions in the second league of football, where KKS 1925 Kalisz and Wisła Puławy stay close to the top of the table after Saturday's victories.
@thorn canyon @indigo dirge Ganea left

I guess @winged minnow will have more goals to celebrate now haha
also Hwang signed for Crvena Zvezda 👀

Bro just accept it was a free kick
Guy got 0 of the ball
Kyogo Furuhashi’s first half goal gave Celtic the away victory in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

Due to the scandal that occurred in the game between FC Porto and FC Arouca, the audios between the referee and the VAR will be published monthly in a dedicated section. The program will be broadcast on SportTV.
This is a great idea
hello
no teams are enemies of one another
they are rivals
except for dinamo kyiv

Id have to disagree ahaha
I mean Nazio and rangers exist
The Old Firm Derby disagrees
The Minho Derby also disagrees
Ibrox civil war
We have so fucking broke them its hilarious
Beat at home with no away fans and with our 4th choice defence plus our first choice center midfielder being injured
I do rate Celtic more though, Alistair Johnstone i hear has been doing good
Is that matt o riley? Aha
Alistair Johnstone has been amazing for us
he looked like a celtic veteran on his debut
that's good to hear
Guy showed up and made it look like he'd been here forever
And he's won 2 trophies already

the canadian talent we have has been making really good strides to join european clubs before and after our world cup appearance
It's too bad the Soccer Association is terrible and is why we don't have any games in this INT Window though, but that's for another area of the discord
i mean yea everyone knows about Davies and all but it's always good to see Alisair and everyone else succeed in europe too
Grujic released from the Serbian national team
Marko Grujic has been released from the Serbian national team's upcoming work. The FC Porto midfielder, remember, missed this Sunday's game between the Dragons against Arouca due to injury. In the latest clinical report, the blue and whites clarified that the 27-year-old player has a bruise on his right glute. Filip Djuricic is also out due to injury for coach Dragan Stojkovic. Serbia hosts Hungary (7 September) and visits Lithuania (10 September) in two more rounds on the way to the 2024 European Championship.

Romain Salin retires from football due to robbery
Romain Salin returned to Marítimo this closed season, but a robbery at his family home in France led to the goalkeeper's decision to immediately retire from football. The guardian quickly reached an agreement with the islanders to leave the club and said goodbye to the club's official bodies. «I have to thank Marítimo. This is where it all started, step by step, and thanks to Marítimo I went to Sporting. Rennes followed. There were seven years in European competitions, in a career spanning 20 years. It was good! And ending up on this island makes me proud and happy.” «I feel guilty for having started a new project in Marítimo and not being able to continue. But if something else happened (with the family) in France, I would feel even more guilty. It was a difficult decision. But I took advantage of the last few days to bring memories to my life. I was here for five years during my previous stay and I remember well participating in the Europa League and the two League Cup finals,” he confessed. The Frenchman, who received the affection of the island fans in the match against Paços de Ferreira, also played for clubs such as Sporting and Rennes in his career. In total, there were 121 matches played in Marítimo's goal. In the last few days of the market, the Madeirans hired Russian Philipp Sukhikh for the position of goalkeeper, who have Samu Silva and Amir as the main names in Tulipa's squad.
Gil Dias, ex-Benfica, announced in Poland
Legia Warszawa announced, on Monday afternoon, the signing of Gil Dias, from Stuttgart. According to the official statement from the Polish emblem, the striker signs on a “one-year loan” with an option to buy.
«We have everything we need to achieve good results this season. I want to win the championship. I think it's the most important objective for Legia", confessed the 26-year-old athlete.
The player, with recent spells in the Portuguese championship through Benfica and FC Famalicão, was thrilled with the new challenge: «When I discovered that the club was interested in me, I started looking for information about the team and the city. Now I'm very happy to be here.”
Gil Dias comes from a season with little rotation, having played just ten games between the Reds and the Schwaben. However, the sporting director of Legia Warszawa has no doubt that the new '17' jersey will adapt in the best way to the latest context.
«He has great individual quality and has the potential to become an even better player. He just needs game rhythm and time to adapt. Thanks to the work of the player himself, coach Kosta Runjaić and his technical team, I believe this will happen », he said.
Remember that Legia Warszawa finished last season in second place in the championship, just behind RKS Raków. The club qualified for the UEFA Conference League, having eliminated Ordabasy, Austria Wien and Midtjylland, at the start of the 2023/24 season.
Serdar Saatci called up to Türkiye's under-21 squad
Serdar Saatci, a 20-year-old center back from SC Braga, was called up for the Turkish under-21 team's commitments.
International for Turkey's youth teams, Saatci is considered one of the country's biggest promises, having cost around 1.5 million to Braga's coffers in 2022.
This season, the player played a total of two matches and was essential in SC Braga's qualification for the group stage of the Champions League.

Carlos Ponck signs for Moreirense
Another piece of wall for defense. After a season on loan at GD Chaves, Carlos Ponck reinforces Moreirense and signs a contract valid for three seasons.
The Cape Verdean international continues in Portuguese football, after a season spent with the Trás-os-Montes team by Turkish side Basaksehir in which he played 24 games and provided one assist.
The central defender's resume includes a Turkish national champion title and spells at CD Aves, where he won a Portuguese Cup and a connection to Benfica.

After experience in Italy, Dejan Stankovic is the new coach of Ferencváros
After managing Red Star and Sampdoria, Dejan Stankovic leaves for a new challenge. The former player, with spells at Internazionale and Lazio, was announced by Ferencváros as the new coach of the Hungarian club
The Serbian will replace Máté Csaba, interim coach who led the zöld sasok to the UEFA Conference League, after the defeat in the first qualifying round for the Champions League, against KÍ Klaksvík (3-0 agg.).
It is worth remembering that Dejan Stankovic played 32 games at the helm of the blucerchiati, having achieved just three victories, which dictated the Genoa team's descent into the second tier of Italian football.
Rúben Dias: «Sometimes a player isn't playing so well and ends up being called up»
Manchester City central spoke at a press conference
Rúben Dias, Manchester City's Portuguese international, spoke - this Monday - at a preview press conference, regarding the duel against Slovakia, in a game counting towards qualifying for Euro 2024.
The central defender addressed several topics, including the call-ups of Cancelo and João Félix and the transfer of Matheus Nunes to the Cityzens.
«It is a difficult game due to the quality of the opponent, the proximity and the importance that the game itself will have in case of our victory, and therefore we are perfectly aware that both this 1st and 2nd game will be very important for us», he began by preview the double confrontation.
Regarding the call of Cancelo and Félix by the selector, Roberto Martínez, the central defender passed the responsibility on to the coach, considering that the selection «is not a closed group».
«I don't think it's the idea of the more closed group, it's the idea of selection space, it's always been like that and just like always the door is open to come and go, decisions are decisions and are up to the coach. Sometimes a player isn't playing so well and ends up being called up for different reasons, and history tells us that this sometimes happens", he highlighted.
Finally, regarding the transfer of Matheus Nunes to the Manchester club, Rúben Dias admitted “he was happy”.
«I'm very happy for him, but, above all, as a Portuguese, I'm very happy that another player has the opportunity to be in this context and at one of the best clubs in the world», he concluded.

The new Wisła Płock stadium
Wisła Płock won 3:0 against Polonia Warszawa in the opening match of their new stadium. The big win is a dream opening of the stadium, which was attended by 13,504 fans. Wisła Płock won after a few weaker performances in the Fortuna 1 League.
now our team needs to settle in
Portugal U21: Rafael Rodrigues surrendered by Arouca central defender
Rafael Fernandes, FC Arouca's central defender, was called up by Rui Jorge to replace Rafael Rodrigues, with physical problems, in the under-21 squad's squad for the games on September 8 and 12 against Andorra and Belarus, respectively.
The player will join his other colleagues in Arcos de Valdevez, who there have already started preparing the start of qualifying for the next European Championship at that level.
After not starting the season as a starter, Rafael Fernandes has gained a place in Daniel Ramos' options and played the last two games, against Portimonense and FC Porto, playing 90 minutes in both.
Mladenovic looks better anyways
Vitória SC market balance: profit of 15 million euros
At the end of the summer market, Vitória SC, through an official statement, made an assessment regarding the «entrances and departures in the club's professional teams», as well as the respective values corresponding to each deal. Due to multiple sales that were quite monetarily significant, mainly for Saudi football, the club immediately raised €14,908,000 in the last window.
Regarding new acquisitions, highlights include Ricardo Mangas (ex-Boavista), Telmo Arcanjo (ex-CD Tondela), Nuno Santos (ex-Charlotte FC) and Adrian Butzke (ex-Granada) as the players who required a greater financial effort .
As far as exits are concerned, Ibrahima Bamba (Al-Duhail) and André Amaro (Al-Rayan) were the athletes who brought in the most money to the conquerors' coffers.
Also noteworthy is the reformulation in team B. The team from Guimarães saw 19 athletes leave, reinforcing itself with just 7 players.

Jorginho's agent said that he concentrates to champions league football with Arsenal and he doesnt care about fener's offer
Do Legia Warsaw do match programmes?
@tough tulip is the only Legia fan that i know so he may know
Meanwhile we removed Verbic from the European squad, so we'll play in the Europa League with Aitor (Unfit) and Bernard (Mid) as our LWs
Palacios and Mancini could come to the LW too i suppose but they're better at the right
But seriously, last year we had an attack worse than Aris' and we signed 0 wingers/strikers
If this goes on i see us in May yelling at each other on why we finished 3rd
I used to lover Podence at Olympiacos and I also used to like Kostas Mitroglou
very good team
Yea i like abdülkerim more
But they added him to show new signing ig
Hahaha Podence is back
Ah yes
we could start abdulkerim, sanchez, and nelson with 2 full backs sacha boey and angeliño

@spiral sky @uneven crystal @simple crater Olympiakos and Panathinaikos want to sign Bakambu.
didn't he just sign for you?
Id love it
But wont happen
Impossible
Yea but seems like we want to sell him for foreign spot
Galatasaray ready to accept 700k according to reports
Abdülkerim>Nelsson
Show it then
Im listening that rn
Where
weird, Olympiacos has already signed Podence, and both have already registered our European lists till December
What if u want him for league
dunno maybe... but we don't seem so keen to sign any more players for this season
The journalist literally said that he heard Panathinaikos and Olympiakos want him and Galatasaray may not include him to UCL list tonight. Also club ready to accept what they paid to Al Nassr.
Lets wait and see
If he is not on the list
He said just on tv
Bruh im not lying
If he is not on the list its true
If he is on the list not true
The bald guy said that
did the mention that as a rumor?
Proof that im watching live
He said today i heard and something like that
well they either registered him or not
Yea and we will see
when are we going to know whom they have registered?
Not sure
But the list would be available real soon after they sent
yeah, ours are already public
Its closing in 30 minutes
Yea our list is not clear yet
well good transfer for us, Olympiacos are probably full by now
unless MPAOK snatches another striker
he would be perfect for them
@mossy marten is he reliable?
He clearly said greek league and mentioned oly and pana if im not wrong
???
About Galatasaray news he is usually correct
Hello
Means i didnt hear paok or something
Pretty sure about that
Only oly and pana
Olympiacos signed two players today
Who?
Jovetic and Podence
Oh nice

Im not surprised if he doesn have an idea about podence transfer
Maybe he heard before that
Not sure
WAIT WHAT PODENCE
yeah Podence was anounced a couple of hours ago
HOW THE FUCK DID WE MANAGE TO GET PODENCE
HES WORTH 20 MILLION EUROS
HOW THE FUCK DID WE MANAGE PODENCE
Marinakis has connections, on loan for 1 year
He had one year on his contract if im not wrong so he came back to home
with a buy option
If he performs well let's hope we buy him
Podence though bro I'm so surprised
Weird because tm shows his contract ends on 2024
thought you were PAOK...
Sorry, that post doesn't exist :(
I'm an olympiacos fan but I occasionally like seeing paok win because I'm from thessaloniki
ok
link doesnt work
Greece is evolving
He deleted it
What did he say in first place tho
Did in-beom hwang go to crvena zvezda?
Gone
yes
We have a very good winger now
Damn alright
yes
Im angry if we sell bakambu for 700k
He just played 3 games or something and they decide by the rage of social media fans
His worth looks like 5m
He went to congo
After the gazientep or something game
This would be the 4th club for bakambu in 2 months or something
That he didnt play
He played like 15 mins ig
Olympiacos transfermarkt value is now 120 million
Let's hope we slip to freiburg so we win conference league in aeks stadium
I just noticed since I check transfermarkt for rumors and transfers
When I go to super league the value just shows up as well
Go and write it, ill repost
he played badly?
If only i didnt delete my twitter
He missed some tap ins
And yea played pretty bad
BUT
Cmon if he finds this positions he will score one day
I cant get our fans
They are just kids mate
They posted over 250k tweets yesterday and affected the transfer policy
It was for vecino
Rude
Bruh doesnt even believe me
IDK

Bro i said what he said
They would had said it already
Im not a journalist
Yeah he missed some opportunities
He is not talking about that
Who are you talking about?
I was watching aspor and the journalist there said that bakambu may be out of ucl list and have some offers from greece
Olympiakos
And
Panagiotis doesnt believe in me
When does the transfer window close?
💀
You believe a spor??
The journalist there
Bro cmon i just wrote here what he said
If he said that im not a liar

I should find a video proof
Bro we dont tell you liar
Dont believe a spor
Even if bakambu is off
Fairs
But need to find that proof
Who is our second striker?
If he leaves
Halil i guess
That turkish guy
But a L decision
From brentford
Could be
But its not possible to sell bakambu
Trust me
I know it
bakambu could easily be your starter at st
But you got icardi
Icardi is next level
Lets be honest
Top level 😁
Icardi is easily the best striker outside top 5-6 leagues
Easily
He's too good for the turkish league
Exactly
Yesssss
+5.5 mill
Probably a sell on %
Aswell
UCL list deadline ends
Lets see
If bakambu there he is staying
If not there he is leaving
They still didnt announce
Ik
AVS announces two terminations and one renewal
Through its official platforms, AVS SAD announced the termination of two contracts and the renewal of a player, in addition to the loan of Edson Mucuana to Oliveira do Hospital.
Júnior Franco, a 28-year-old midfielder who missed last season due to a serious injury, and goalkeeper Fábio Duarte no longer belong to the newly created club. Furthermore, the young Brazilian Thiago Freitas, aged 20, renewed until 2026.

best of luck to him!
I won't lie to you, AEK Athens doesn't impress me.
Me neither they aren't really doing it for me right now
I'm kinda confused how they did the double.
When a big Greek team plays against a small team I'm always for the small team
Orbelin pineda
He was pretty good I think
Hey I'm pretty sure olympiacos plays aek away in their next game
What's your prediction?
I'm thinking the same
I like Scarpa, saw him at Nottingham Forest and was impressed.
I don't think podence will have his debut the next game
Considering he was signed today
9/2 in 36
Wait
What
Podence was loaned out?
He's back!
I thought you were reminiscing about 2020
Dunno
Lmao I found out just half an hour ago
He's in his prime years, weird transfer move.
I'm excited
You fought In-boem
Who I liked in the WC squad.
weird
I mean, would you spend your prime years in that wolves team likely to be playing in the championship or with this amazing olympiacos team who's playing in the champions and europa league
He's gone to crvena zvezda
Probably play with Olympiacos.
I'm guarenteed Europa football every year.
Yea I'd pick olympiacos too
Nice to see him back at the club.
What formation does Marinakis run?
I'd lie to you let me check
I won't lie.
Your group is tough
backa topala should be 4th easily
But Frieburg plays sweet football, and they've done it consistently.
Realistically, this olympiacos side is beating freiburg I think
But I want olympiacos in the conference league
IDK how Qarabag got 3rd but
attack has improved.
Hahahah
Olympiacos wins it in a rival stadium
At that point it's gonna be like a home game for us
Is it 4-3-3?
why?
Conference league,
Ultras are wild
Why conference league?
Oh wait
The confernece league final is in AEK's stadium?
I can never be emotionally attached to football.
Yea
Another underdog is paok from my hometown 😂
Imagine a paok-olympiacos conference league final
PAOK is really good.
You see what they did to every single club until now
All wins with at least 3 goal difference
Biel is still here to my knowledge
Lucuesu has them playing proper football.
I meant Biel on the left.
Oh
I mean it's pas lamia they aren't exactly facing real Madrid
They could beat them with the reserves
true
Probably will change next game.
Fortounis got a goal and 2 assists
He's back home
Just found a complimation of him.
#Kostas #Olympiacos #Fortounis

Fortounis was linked with some European clubs
Who?
Mavropanos had a red card against France the last game and he won't be playing against the Netherlands
Netherlands-Greece what's your predictions?
Bro West ham got mavropanos from stuttgart
How many Greeks do they want
Oh
Yeah, they love greeks
What's your score prediction for Netherlands-Greece
Nah they too inconsistent
I'll say 1-1
Even with mavropanos out
It's qualifier
I'm going to say Greece grab 6 points against Netherlands
On paper, Holland should win but too inconsistent.
You think Greece takes 3 points?
Yes I say we win twice
6 points in total
We are in incredible shape
I'm pretty sure the game against Ireland was away
1-2 against Ireland
Do you know what France needed to beat Greece?
Gibitrar lmao
Red card for Mavropanos
They got 2 penalties in that game
Penalty from Mbappe
Vlachodimos saved one of the pens
A red and 2 penalties to beat Greece at home by one goal
He's not English? How?
I love Restos
He probably didn't see himself making it into the English national team so he went with Greece since he was born here
Yea he's alright
The Netherlands are disorganised as hell
0-1 in the Netherlands 2-0 in Greece
6 points
Bulgaria who drew to Lithuania recently
Beat them 2-0 too
They are just bad
Chatzidiakos left az alkmaar I just noticed
hm
Pavlidis seriously needs to leave az alkmaar too
He's too good for alkmaar way too good
I think Greece splits points but finishes 2nd.
i don't see Ireland catching up
European goalkeepers don't get quick moves as European players do.
If that makes sense.
For example, Vladochimos was great at Benfica.
We are topping our group🗣️
Ireland don't have it in them
I remember him getting linked with big European clubs, because I used to sign him in FIFA, but he never got that move.
too weak
Good luck.
If you look at pavlidis transfermarkt he's more than 2x expensive then their 2nd most expensive player
He just needs to flee bro
5 goals already.
AZ is stuck in mediocrity, but the Eredivisie is now becoming a 3-man title race.
That's fucking crazy
If Palvidis leaves now, where does he go/
Less matches than goals, and he's 24.
Ajax Amsterdam
Psv eindhoven
Feyenoord rotter dam
To name a few from the eredivisie
I mena.
He's stuck in the same division.
I think he's waiting for the summer.
AZ is top of the league with a 8 GD, mostly because of him.
I won't be shocked if they win the league too.
I would
Even if he goes to play in olympiacos or something
This would be a better option than az alkmaar
He has nothing to play for there
He's not winning any actual trophy
They qualified for the Europa Conference League, so there's something.
They are not doing anything in that tournament this season let's be honest
Ludogorets from Bulgaria has a chance of beating them and they lost to olimpija Ljubljana recently
At best they get out the group stage LMFAO.
They'll do that but then comes the problem of
Fucking chepinec from the Bulgarian 4th division
And they're done
AZ don't play good football, just rely on their strikers to pounce on mistakes.
Pavlidis scores all of their goals
The rest of the team sucks
If pavlidis goes
They go too they're gonna not be able to do anything

Salvador and the SC Braga Sports City: «Unlike others, this is not a publicly funded project»
Second phase of the work was inaugurated
SC Braga inaugurated, on Monday afternoon, the second phase of its Sports City, in a ceremony attended by several prominent figures.
António Salvador, president of the Arsenalistas, described this day as one of the “most important in the club's history” and criticized the facilities that other clubs had in building their respective infrastructures.
«The Sports City has always been an ambition and a priority for us. It is a project lasting many years, which we accelerated in the midst of the pandemic, at a stage in which so many would advise caution and retreat (...) Unlike others, this is not a publicly financed project, but it is fair to mention here that neither Therefore, it is no longer a project recognized and developed with a deep awareness of social impact», said the director.
The leader of Gverreiros do Minho left several thanks to the entities that were involved in the work, highlighted that he is "committed to having all this investment amortized by 2025" and highlighted that the Sports City will be an important support for Portugal's candidacy for the 2030 World Cup .
«We will start the next season with the mini-stadium already finished and today I publicly reveal that on January 19, 2025, the club's anniversary day, the new Sporting Clube de Braga museum will be inaugurated», he added.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain and CEO of QSI, which owns 21.67 percent of SC Braga's SAD, was also in Braga and left several compliments for the Minho team: «Portugal is a football country. It's impressive what Sp. Braga has done for football. The president is doing an incredible job. I am proud as CEO of QSI.”
In addition to speeches by Fernando Gomes, president of the Portuguese Football Federation, and Pedro Proença, president of Liga Portugal, a video by Alexander Ceferin, president of UEFA, was also shown, in which the director highlighted the work that the arsenalists have been doing. to develop.
«This fantastic project shows that there is no limit to what can be achieved when we push the limits, accept change and dream big. Everyone who passes through these doors will embrace these values, in a safe environment to grow as athletes and people. Initiatives like this will benefit Sp. Braga and Portuguese and European football. Continue to dream and strive for excellence in everything you do,” he said.

FC Porto: Samuel Portugal and Gabriel Veron will not play in the Champions League
Players registered for the Champions League
Goalkeepers Samuel Portugal, Francisco Meixedo and winger/forward Gabriel Veron were not registered by FC Porto for the group stage of the Champions League. Veron suffered a muscle injury and will not be recovered before October, which helps explain this exclusion.
Sérgio Conceição works with 31 athletes at this time, an abnormally high number, and was forced to make these cuts.
Meixedo will be used in the UEFA Youth League and FC Porto chose to take Gonçalo Ribeiro, goalkeeper from team B, in the group of those registered in the so-called B list - footballers born after January 1, 2002.
Furthermore, FC Porto fulfilled the quota of athletes trained at the club with the registrations of Diogo Costa, João Mário, Romário Baró and Gonçalo Borges.
All reinforcements are therefore included in the list of registrants, which is as follows:
GK: Cláudio Ramos; DIogo Costa
DEF: Fábio Cardoso; Pepe; David Carmo; Iván Marcano; Zaidu Sanusi; Jorge Sánchez; Wendell; João Mario
MID: Stephen Eustáquio; Marko Grujic; Nico González; Ivan Jaime; André Franco; Alan Varela; Romário Baró
ATT: Mehdi Taremi; Francisco Conceição; Pepê; Wanderson Galeno; Danny Namaso; Fran Navarro; Toni Martinez; Evanilson; Gonçalo Borges
COACH: Sérgio Conceição
Vitinha rejects the idea of a closed group in the selection: «Anyone who believes in that is mistaken»
PSG midfielder was spokesperson at the press conference today
The work of the national team is underway and on this second day of preparation for the duel against Slovakia, Vitinha, Paris SG midfielder, spoke about various issues at the epicenter of Portuguese football. Between the national team, the controversy in the game between FC Porto and FC Arouca or even Messi-Ronaldo comparisons, the midfielder addressed several points.
The last call raised doubts about whether the selection, at this moment, would be a closed group, but Vitinha denied that this was the case: «I think that anyone who says and believes that is completely mistaken», he began by explaining, sharing the idea presented by Rúben Dias, that it is a “door open to both sides”.
Vitinha considers that the meeting with Slovakia is the “ideal” to have minutes for the national team, but recognizes the difficulty of the national coach, who has “very high quality” players.
MESSI OR RONALDO?
Having played with the Argentine in Paris and with the Portuguese in the national team, Vitinha was forced to face the eternal question, but ended up escaping easily: «You didn't really think I would answer that, did you?», shot.
«There are two separate players, extraterrestrials. I'm privileged, I managed to play with both at the same time. I learned a lot from both», he added.
Vitinha was also asked about the most recent FC Porto-FC Arouca match and did not deny that the situation "is not positive", since the player and the football played were relegated to the background. The solution? «Those who have power will be much better able to do this. Anything other than talking about football is not positive and then means we are fighting with the Dutch league,” he replied.
The national team will have a double confrontation in this qualifying round, where they can leave their qualification well on their way. The first meeting will be on September 8th, against Slovakia, in Bratislava, followed by the reception to Luxembourg, on the 11th.
Diogo Ferreira arrives from Amora to Benfica's Under-23s
Midfielder loaned to the Eagles
Diogo Ferreira is a new face for Benfica's Under-23 team. The midfielder arrives on loan from Amora until the end of this season and was officially presented by the new club this Tuesday.
«I feel enormous happiness for signing for Benfica, my favorite club, and this happiness becomes even greater when I can combine professional and personal aspects. The objectives of each Formation player are to reach the main team, always with their feet firmly on the ground, because it is not an easy step, it is not from one moment to the next that we get there », he stated.
Despite his young age, the 18-year-old player was a starter in the first three rounds of this edition of Liga 3. He is the brother of Marta Ferreira, an athlete with Sporting for several years and who currently represents Damaiense in the BPI League.
FC Famalicão faces its first obstacle in the Youth League
FC Famalicão already has an opponent for its debut in the UEFA Youth League. National under-19 champions last season, the Minho team will compete in the first round of the Champions Path. On the other side will be FC Midtjylland.
The draw dictated the duel between the Portuguese and the Danes and the calendar points to the month of October as decisive for this tie. On the 4th, FC Famalicão will host the Nordics in the first leg and the second match is scheduled for the 25th of the same month, but in Denmark.
In their absolute debut in the competition, FC Famalicão also knows who they will have to face in the second round, if they manage to overcome the first adversity. If they beat FC Midtjylland, the Portuguese team will face the winner of the tie between the Ukrainians of Rukh Vynnyky and the Bosnians of FK Sarajevo. The second round takes place on November 8th and 29th and is worth a place in the play-offs.

Mitroglou (ex-Benfica) ends his relationship with German sixth-tier club
After the surprising move to the sixth tier of German football - after ending his professional career - Kostas Mitroglou is leaving SV Scherpenberg, a German club that plays at regional levels.
After five rounds of the championship, the former Benfica striker leaves Moers, where he also won on three occasions.
Capped by the Greek national team on 65 occasions, Mitroglou, it should be noted, put an end to his professional career and moved to Germany for family reasons.
While playing for Benfica, the Greek played a total of 88 matches and scored 52 goals. In his last two seasons as a professional, playing for Aris, the player played 11 games and scored two goals.

Hjulmand and Sporting: «It's a step towards achieving something bigger»
Midfielder aims to play for big European teams
Morten Hjulmand, currently serving the Denmark national team, spoke to Tipsbladet newspaper about his recent move to Sporting. A step calculated by himself, who made no secret of his ambition to play for the biggest teams in Europe.
The midfielder admitted that, while he was at Lecce, there was a time when he could only think about Sporting and that, after receiving an official offer, it became difficult to avoid his desire: «As time passed, it became just the Sporting. It is a club with a history of sending players to the big teams in Europe and playing with a young team.”
«We always dream of achieving something bigger. Therefore, we can say that Sporting is a step towards that", considered the Dane, who confessed to living in a hotel... at least until October.
The midfielder was hired this season by Sporting, from Lecce, in Italy, in a transaction made for 18 million euros plus three, against objectives.
Kasper Schmeichel continues his career in Belgium
Kasper Schmeichel has a new career challenge, at 36 years old. The goalkeeper was made official this Tuesday as Anderlecht's new reinforcement, on a one-season contract.
After his highly successful period at Leicester, Schmeichel ended up having an unhappy spell at Nice. Rumors of a lack of commitment combined with a high salary ended up leading to the termination of the contract.
Playing for the French club, the goalkeeper played in 46 matches.

Djenepo leaves England and returns to Belgium
Standard de Liège welcomed back Moussa Djenepo, who returned to the Belgian club from Southampton. The Malian forward cost three million euros - according to the English press - to Standard's coffers, who offered him a three-year contract.
Djenepo was trained at Standard, the club for which he made his senior debut and where he spent two seasons, until heading to England to join the Saints, in 2019, in a transfer valued at 15 million euros.
Last season, the Mali international made 16 appearances in the Premier League, in a campaign that saw Southampton relegated to the Championship.

Rui Costa explains the sale of Gonçalo Ramos and reveals: «We had offers from António Silva and João Neves»
President of the Encarnados tells in an interview
Rui Costa, president of SL Benfica, gave a long interview to Benfica TV to talk about the Eagles' action in the summer transfer market. One of the first topics was the sale of Gonçalo Ramos to Paris SG, which he himself explained.
«We sold Gonçalo [Ramos] for 65 million euros plus 15 in bonuses, but I want to give a first note. I know that every fan suffers with the departure of a starter, but it doesn't suffer less than those who have to do it. He's a player from our team and it's hard for us to lose a striker like him. However, in all markets we have to discuss exits,” he began by saying.
«There is no club in Portugal that can maintain its accounts without making this type of sales, one would have to be made. This sale allowed other players to remain in the squad, making us the most expensive sale. This way we prevented the departure of Neres, Morato, Florentino, Musa… We had proposals from António and João Neves. This sale allows us to focus on the sporting aspect. Otherwise we would have to make four sales to reach these values", he explained, adding: "The sale of Enzo [Fernández, to Chelsea], in terms of financial year, ends on June 30th. With the sale of Gonçalo [Ramos] we can reach the end of the season without the obligation to sell more players. It was this strategy that we favored.”
The top leader of the Luz group also addressed the topic of renewals, highlighting that of captain Otamendi and the “boy” João Neves.
«Many people already considered Otamendi lost, but the renewal was not difficult due to his desire to continue at Benfica. He could be a target for Arab clubs, but I always felt like he wanted to continue. He embodied our club and is the team's great leader. He is an asset for us and a great certainty in the dressing room", he pointed out.
«João Neves's was the easiest renewal I had within the club. The only thing he wanted to know was when he renewed, for how many years and when the next game was. He is a boy who has made extraordinary progress and counts a lot for the squad,” he added.

Kokçu, Cabral, Bernat...: the Benfica market detailed by Rui Costa
The explanation for the various hires
Rui Costa gave an interview to the club's channel to talk about the transfer market and did not leave any names unexplained. The president of the red club went down to the smallest detail to analyze all the signings and even revealed that Gonçalo Guedes agreed to lower his salary to return to Benfica.
Initially, the manager contextualized the Reds' decisions during the market months.
«They were considered acquisitions, we analyzed the players well. It was easy to reach the targets we wanted, they were players we had been following for over a year and I'm sure they will be added value in the coming years, even though Di Maria only signed for one season. But let's see, I still hope to convince him of something more", he said.
Player by player, the Benfica president did not forget any names.
Kokçu: «It is the most expensive acquisition, but this is something that has happened every year. With Enzo leaving, if we had had more time in January, he would have been chosen. He has a phenomenal reading of the game and we can reach these values because we know he will add a lot to the team. We realized that we could reach these values and we didn’t hesitate.”
Arthur Cabral: «He was already identified from Basel and the coach even tried to take him to PSV. He is a player in whom we have great hopes and we have to give him more time to adapt. However, I believe he has the conditions to play many games.”
Jurásek: «Grimaldo's departure forced us to sign a full-back, but we considered that Jurásek had all the conditions to play for Benfica. It's not easy to join the Benfica team and we have to be patient, but we have no doubts.”
Trubin: “We had identified early on that we wanted to hire a goalkeeper. Originally we thought Trubin was unreachable, but then we realized we had a window of opportunity. He was referenced all over Europe and we tried to anticipate and sign him with a year left on his contract. He will be one of the best in Europe in the future. »
Di María: «He takes great pleasure in representing Benfica and signed a contract with the club a month before appearing at the Estádio da Luz. He was very close to returning last year, but Juventus offered a salary that we couldn't get close to . He also wanted to experience Italy. From the moment he realized that Benfica was still interested, he didn't want to hear anything else. Di María didn't want to know what the salary cap was, he believed my word, he believed that those values were the maximum that Benfica paid. He didn't even haggle for a euro. »
Gonçalo Guedes: «We try to maintain continuity because of what he can give to the team and the squad and because we know the desire he had to represent the club. He's from Wolverhampton, it's impossible for us to reach the values he had abroad. Like Di María, this loan renewal involved a lot of us saying "we can only pay this part" and nothing was negotiated by him. His desire to continue is very clear. We followed this entire recovery, we know the level and conditions he is in. It weighed in on our request to borrow it. I believe that at the end of the month he will already be working with the team and that he is 100% available to contribute to our successes, which is what we all hope for. »
Bernat: «he has a different profile than Jurásek, he is even more mature for what lies ahead. Jurásek will be able to grow without the responsibility of replacing Grimaldo immediately. We were aware of Bernat's situation and he is someone with a lot of experience. This year we focused a lot on the depth of the squad and we believe that we have a lot of quality in a squad that is not very extensive. 25 is the number I always wanted.”
Rui Costa explains Vlachodimos' departure: «I'm not going to sweep it under the rug...»
Guardian was highlighted by the president of the Encarnados
The issue of goalkeepers - Odysseas Vlachodimos and Trubin - was one of the main market themes highlighted by Rui Costa, president of Benfica. In an interview with the club's official channel, the red director admitted that Vlachodimos' situation is a "sensitive" topic and acknowledged the player's desire to leave Benfica.
«It's still a sensitive situation, I'm not going to sweep it under the carpet, because it ended up being public. Vlachodimos represented Benfica for five years and deserves the greatest respect from me, and from all Benfica fans. After what happened, after realizing that he could lose space in the team, it was his own desire to create a solution. This has never stopped being considered", he stated, reinforcing that he had to refuse a proposal from Ajax, last season.
«Two days before the market ended, last season, Vlachodimos had a proposal from Ajax that was very advantageous for him and we couldn't even look at the proposal, the player's will or our will, because the market was close and we didn’t have a solution”, he highlighted.
«Vlachodimos leaves as he entered»
Regarding the arrival of the young Ukrainian goalkeeper, Rui Costa explained his signing and reinforced that Benfica will be “grateful” to Vlachodimos.
«Trubin's arrival also prevented not only competition in goal, but also a possible departure for Vlachodimos. A proposal arrived from Nottingham, which was beneficial for Benfica from a financial point of view, but essentially for the player, as it was a solution that he liked. Vlachodimos leaves as he entered, with the greatest relationship with the club. We will always be grateful for what Vlachodimos did.”
«We came to the conclusion, between all parties, that his cycle had ended and that the solutions for the goal provided all the guarantees. That's why we don't touch this sector anymore. We have Samuel, who has been a starter, and has already said what he had to say about Trubin. They are two goalkeepers who deserve all our trust, not that Vlachodimos didn't deserve it, on the contrary, but that's what a player's life is. We all thought we should take advantage of this proposal,” he concluded.
Rui Costa and the case at Dragão: «I'm worried, we want there to be justice»
Rui Costa, president of Benfica, discussed - in detail - the options in the transfer market and also commented on other topics: ambition in the Champions League and the start of the Portuguese championship.
«Two consecutive years of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League and we will always fight to get as far as possible. We must not take our feet off the ground, but we must also have the ambition to believe that we can get there. Internally, we assume that it is more difficult to revalidate the title than to win it, we are a target to be shot down", he began by saying in an interview with BTV.
Regarding the first four rounds of the championship, the director admitted that he is dissatisfied and addressed the FC Porto-Arouca case, at Estádio do Dragão.
«I'm not going to step on what everyone saw, we will always be on alert. We will always be a club that seeks for the championship to take place on the field and for the strongest team to win on the field, no matter how many minutes we play. More than surprised [by what has happened], I am worried», he highlighted.
«If we are looking for good shows to sell the television rights to our championship, we have to change a lot of things in football in Portugal. What happened at Dragão is not the best way to sell the national championship and all entities must pay attention. We want there to be justice, clarity and for situations like that to no longer exist in our football,” he concluded.

Rui Costa and his departures: from Schjeldrup to Grimaldo
Among many relevant topics in the Benfica market, Rui Costa spoke, in an interview with BTV, about the departures that took place in the squad. The president of the Reds detailed the reasons that led to the end - in other cases interruption - of the cycle of several players with the eagle on their chest.
Schjelderup: «he is a player who we have always said, since the day we picked him up, who we highly recommend for the future. It's not just us because half of Europe also wanted to sign him, he's 19 years old. This year we wanted to bet on ready-made solutions and we have players like Di María, João Mário, Neres, Rafa, Fred [Aursnes], Gonçalo Guedes and we still have Tiago Gouveia in his position, there were too many players and this would result in fewer minutes for he. We point a lot to his future. Di Maria has one year left on his contract, Gonçalo Guedes has one year left on his contract, Rafa is in the last year of his contract... So, it didn't make sense for Schjelderup to stay here. Among the viable solutions we had for Schjelderup, one of them was to return home, where he feels good and where he preferred to go, with a financial advantage for the club.(...) It was necessary to give him rhythm this year to be part of next year's squad. This is our initial objective and this is how we are planning Schjelderup’s internal career at our club.”
Grimaldo: «We did everything possible to keep Grimaldo within the squad, knowing how important he was in the team. He was one of the most experienced players at the club, with the most years at the club and played a fundamental role on the field. We were doing everything we could to keep him at Benfica, we hadn't completed the negotiations yet but we also realized, as he himself explained, that he respectfully sought another challenge. He did not stop representing us until the last day with great professionalism and dignity. (...) Nothing to say about that, respecting that he wanted and preferred other places, to have another experience. »
Cher Ndour: «Cher is different, he was at the beginning of his career, he was about to renew his contract. We negotiated a lot with him and his agents, but he understood that his future did not lie with Benfica and that he would look for other solutions. Then PSG came along and closed it down. He's a player that we really wanted to keep because we believe in his potential, but I can't in any way force players to stay at Benfica (...)»
Lucas Veríssimo: «I think it's easier for people to understand. He was out of action for a year and a half at Benfica due to that dramatic injury that prevented him from continuing to be a starter at Benfica and in the national team with the prospect of going to the World Cup. After being out of action for a year and a half, it was essential to be able to be in a situation other than 4th central position at Benfica. The starting duo is the same as last year, whenever it was necessary to change it was Morato who took on that role, so Lucas was practically the team's 4th central defender. It was neither legitimate for him nor for us to sentence him to this status for another year. We decided to loan him to Corinthians, he returned to Brazil, he also wanted that (...)
Seferovic: «We released Seferovic in the last year of his contract, not gaining anything from the transfer, but earning the salary we had with him. When we tried to reduce these assets, we knew we weren't going to make money with some players (...)»
Gilberto: «There was an interesting proposal in January last year. At that time, we preferred not to change the squad and it ended up staying. He lost space, even for Aursnes to play on the right side. At the end of the year he wanted to return to Brazil. A proposal appeared to him, which was advantageous for Benfica and for him (...)»
Ristic: «Like Gilberto, we can fit Ristic. We are grateful. He was always fulfilling his tasks. Having little space and having a proposal for it was beneficial for both parties. He wanted to go to Celta, he will find space and allowed us to open up space for Bernat, who we believe will be an added value (...)»
Ain’t no one reading that buddy

PODEEEEEENCEEEEE
Europa league is the goal
Lose to Bayern home and away, beat man Utd at home, lose away. Beat Kopenhagen home and away
Mission accomplished
Beat United at home, draw at away, beat Kopenhag at both, try to draw bayern at home, be second with 11 pts
Second just means you go out in round of 16
Arsenal unfortunately not gonna lose to gala
Arsenal losing. Making it to quarters and being cooked by Madrid/Bayern/City then.
Galata has tough mission
Idk if they can beat bayern or man u
I still think they get 6pts off copenhagen. Also copenhagen gets 0 points I say so yeah u do finish 3rd
I just dont think galata can win against man u im not saying it just because im man u fan idk if galata is man u level
Yah same here
Also bayern probably gets max points
Maybe they do a draw in manchester
But in rest they win
Man U can beat Bayern at Old Trafford, but can also lose/draw with Gala away
They are kings of bottling
Most of the united players are in trouble
Antony situation
Amrabat injured
And more
Galatasaray Illuminati working dw
Yeah u cant expect a certain result
Thats what I dont like about man u even tho I support them every game
Idk maybe subs can do the job who knows
any game in europe can have unexpected results, upsets are 90% of the fun in european competiotions
Yea thats their main goal
Illuminati has security measures for this as well
But i cant reveal rn
Anyone, they’ll just give very good defensive 0-0 or 1-1
Like they’ll be under siege whole match
But still escape with draw
Copenhagen is not a bad team
Their plan is to park the bus I alr know it
Remember they came from pot 3
True
Ofc that is the fun but I dont want that "fun" and see copenhagen fuck up united💀
But yea ur right overall
Our first game against them
And most of our players arent ready rn
That is the real fun
true true its not fun when your team is the one getting an upset against them
but when its a different team its always interesting
underdog stories and stuff
When ur neutral fan is always fun to watch
especially when a club you support end up pulling off underdog stuff.
the glory of the roma 6-1 still fuels my northern blood,
Fr like u see a miracle happen and ur club makes it and beats someone way better thats the best feeling in football as a fan
Yah, and it probably will work. Look at last year
jupp
Th man shitty doin
They lackin
Last year
Copenhagen have a chance to finish 3rd
Like %50-50 with us
Dormund draw is impressive too
copenhagen played to their ability and did well, respect too them
Yea ur guys goal is to demolish them and get 6pts then let the rest of the teams to the job
mhm
Fr
Yea and making it to ucl
Chopenhagen at home is hard to face
Gala might lose to Copenhagen away
Ngl
Just need to destroy them at home
Fr
Yea also the results u send all those impressive results were at home
Yah
1 win 1 draw can be enough idk
Dont think they can get any points by bayern and united
Same for us but slightly better chance at manu home
Maybe draw
Nah they can get points from Bayern and Man U
Yes true 4pts its ok but u never know 6pts to be 100% sure u know
Especially draw with Man U at home
teams can often make their home ground a fortress, the capability to do that usualy gets you some sucess in europe
Bayern will win every game
They can do something but only at home
Yah
Man u currently only win at trafford but have a very good record there.
Yea because the fans fuel the team
Nah
glimt made their name cause of their home record, took arsenal to break it in Europe.
I think they win everything except a draw at man u
Thats what I predict
Glimt in winter is impossible to beat unless you got polar bear players

Glimt broke my heart as a romanian but w to them u guys are well known now u were one of the best in pot 4 in conference and thats impressive
the combination of cold temperatures, wind and artificial turf makes them hard to break
yea its sad for romania, but your teams put up a very good fight in some unfortunate draws
Sepsi did so well
Romanian teams are so shit on artificial grass like farul lost to finland team steaua to denmark and sepsi to noraway like TF MAN
im kinda dissapointed in norway, cause as usual the only 2 teams to qualify are glimt and Molde
HJK is good, Farul did wel in first legs though
Easier group this time
would have been fun to see Brann make it, Rbk can fuck off lol.
Hjk was so shit in 1st leg should have been 4-1 for farul they fucked up sooo bad I hate it
Poor Viktoria XD
Never let Farul win the league again
They cheated their way to win the league over steaua
@molten cloud
If steaua plays in ucl play offs its guarantee u got them in an international competition 100% no doubt
In farul u cant be sure of that
This is true for cfr too
Csa steaua
Cfr Cluj too
Metaloglobus
Yes the fake ones from 2nd league fcsb is the real one and metaloglobus is the best team W team
Yes I said about them too
Only these 2 teams should win the championship so we make sure we have someone in european groups

I heard about it but idk to who
Which team
Ik he is in super lug
Lig
Next year gonna be good
He should at been at rapid but it didnt happen they fucked up
He came back to Gaziantep
W
Oh nice

These 4
The best teams
W
We waited too long to see him again
Havent seen this one yet😂

Álvaro Djaló and the «best moment of his career»: «I'm a much more mature player»
Forward already dreams of the Spanish National Team
Álvaro Djaló, SC Braga player, is going through an excellent moment of form, having scored four goals at the start of the season. The forward is one goal away from equaling the mark achieved last season. Speaking to the newspaper AS, the 24-year-old athlete was radiant with his latest personal performances, assuming he was in the “best moment of his career.”
«Very happy because that's what the team asks of me. They demand more and more from me and I am responding to their demands. I feel like I'm a much more mature player than I was last year. Honestly, I'm in the best moment of my career,” he confessed.
When asked about his desire to represent La Roja's main team, the Spaniard was clear: «Playing for the [Spain] National Team would be a dream. It would be a reward for all the work I have done to improve. Seeing Abel Ruiz and Víctor Gómez at the U21 European Championship filled me with pride. Despite not having represented the national team in the youth categories, I don't rule out that, sooner or later, I may have a chance.”
Regarding the passport to the Champions League, Djaló revealed a comment from Artur Jorge: «When we qualified for the group stage, there was a very funny moment. The coach came to me and said: "Three years ago we were in the Portuguese third division and now we are going to face the best teams in the world"». Remember that both started working together at SC Braga B, having played in League 3 in the 2021/22 season.
«The team celebrated when Real Madrid beat us in the draw. Playing at the stadium of the club that has won the Champions League the most times is an honor. It's one of those games where everyone will give their all», he also said.
The athlete also praised the arsenalists' latest project: «This Monday I was at the presentation of the second phase of Cidade Desportiva [of SC Braga]. It's truly impressive. It has nothing to envy to other big teams. SC Braga is one of the four strongest clubs in Portugal.”

Sporting: details of Nazinho's loan to Cercle Brugge
Left-back will play in Belgium
Flávio Nazinho will play in the 23/24 season with the Cercle Brugge shirt, in Belgium. The news, reported by A Bola, was confirmed by zerozero from a source close to the athlete.
According to reports, the left-footed player is leaving on loan and the Belgians reserve a purchase option worth two million euros. Sporting will maintain, in any case, a percentage of the athlete's economic rights.
With no space in Alvalade, Nazinho will find a club in excellent form in the Eerste Klasse, with three consecutive victories and third place in the table.
In the Cercle locker room, Nazinho will be joined by Leonardo Lopes, Portuguese midfielder and undisputed starter. Lopes gave an interview to zerozero in 2022, during FC Porto's visit to Bruges to face neighboring and rival Club Brugge.
It remains to be said that Nazinho, 20 years old, arrives in Belgium with 11 games in Sporting's main team: five in 21/22 and six in 22/23. He has been with the Lions since 2018, after stints at small clubs in Almada (Leão Altivo, Monte Caparica, Cova da Piedade and Pescadores) and experience with the SC Braga squad.

Pedro Martins on Feirense «It's unacceptable that they don't play in Marcolino»
Coach shared open letter
«Not just as a former athlete of this great club, but as a true fan, who has Feirense in his heart». This is how the publication by Pedro Martins, Portuguese coach at Al-Gharafa, begins, who wrote an open letter to the Santa Maria da Feira club and shared it on his social networks.
The coach explained his feeling and was clear: «CD Feirense is not merely a name or an emblem. It is the living manifestation of more than a century of passion».
Pedro Martins recalled the club's history, «full of achievements and challenges», which left a legacy «built with sweat, tears and a lot of passion for thousands of Feira residents over the years», he said.
«It is unacceptable to think of a Feirense that does not play in Marcolino de Castro. This stadium goes beyond just a football field. It is the house that welcomed generations of people from Feira, many of whom are no longer with us. That’s where a stove cook’s heart beats stronger,” he considered.
Remember that Pedro Martins is from Santa Maria da Feira and was trained at Feirense, where he played, as a senior, for six seasons and played 219 matches.
The dispute between the club and SAD has caused people to talk, at a time when the club that plays in the second division has already played two home games, but away from home, as was the case in the games against Penafiel (played at the Carlos Osório Stadium, in Oliveira de Azeméis) and against Santa Clara (at Estádio do Bessa).

Manuel Ugarte: «At Sporting I was very comfortable and happy»
Difficulties in adapting to PSG
Manuel Ugarte, player who left Sporting for Paris SG in the last closed season, discussed the adaptation process at the French club, emphasizing the affection he has for the Lions.
“The first few weeks at PSG cost me. At Sporting I was very comfortable and happy. The move to Paris required some time to adapt, but now I'm doing very well and I feel confident because my teammates also treat me well", he confessed, speaking to ESPN.
«PSG is a totally different team, one of the best in the world, due to the quality of the players. But it is also a team that is being formed. I'm very happy because it's another step up in my career and I feel prepared", he added.
Remember that the former Leo midfielder is already part of the Uruguayan national team, led by Marcelo Bielsa. La Celeste has a meeting scheduled for next Saturday, against Chile, to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Casa Pia negotiates sale of Godwin to Saudi Arabia
Striker ends contract at the end of the season
102 games, 24 goals and a promotion later, Savior Godwin's time at Casa Pia is about to come to an end, confirmed zerozero, following news from Record.
The Lisbon club has proposals for the sale of the Nigerian player, from clubs where the market is still open - Turkey, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
For now, the deal is not closed, but Tiago Lopes himself, Casa Pia's chief executive, is finalizing the details for the sale of the Nigerian winger to a Saudi club, our newspaper knows.
With his contract ending at the end of this season, these are the final months for Casa Pia to still be able to make a deal with the sale of the winger, who, in 2021/22, was voted best player of the season in the II League.

Benfica-SC Braga punishments forgiven... by the Pope
At issue is the Amnesty Law
The Pope's visit to Portugal, in connection with World Youth Day, brought an amnesty law, which came into force at the beginning of September and which already has practical effects in the Liga Portugal Betclic. As a result, the Disciplinary Council of the FPF (Portuguese Football Federation) forgave penalties and infractions, as in the case of the last Benfica-SC Braga, in the 2022/23 championship.
According to the Disciplinary Council's punishment map, Bruma and Niakaté - fined because of a disturbance at one of the banks - were amnestied regarding the measure, as were several members of Benfica's staff, involved in the same situation.
The law dates back to disciplinary infractions dating back to June 19th and involves “sports agents who are natural persons”, which means that the clubs have to pay their fines - 1,734 euros in the case of the Eagles and 1,020 euros for the arsenalists.
Remember that this is not the first time that a pardon of this type has been announced, since Vítor Murta, president of Boavista, was one of those who benefited from the initiative, involving two disciplinary processes, which resulted in the director's suspension.
End of career? Hazard says he just wants to enjoy life drinking beer
Without a club, the Belgian international raises questions
He is one of the big names who is free on the market, after a somewhat inglorious spell at Real Madrid, but doubts about Eden Hazard's future remain.
In the new documentary series that follows the Belgian team's journey towards the 2024 European Championship, some statements from the 32-year-old striker were revealed.
«I will always be a follower of the Red Devils and beautiful football. I have always worn the captain's armband with a huge honor", said the international in the documentary's trailer, followed by his wishes for a possible "new life" in his playing career.
«Little by little, the time came to enjoy life with my family and friends and drink a few Belgian beers», he concluded.
The second episode of this documentary series revolves around Eden Hazard's career with the Belgian national team and will be available this Thursday.
Remember that the 126-time international and former captain of the Red Devils spent the last four years with Real Madrid, where he played 76 games and scored seven times.

Cristiano Ronaldo on Lionel Messi:
"The rivalry is gone. But it was a good rivalry that the spectators really liked. But it's not those who like Cristiano Ronaldo who don't have to hate Messi or vice versa because they are both good, very good, who changed the history of the football and they continue to change and we are respected all over the world, I think that is the most important thing and he is making his way as I make mine, regardless of whether we play outside of Europe. He has done well from what I have seen and I have also done things well and it will continue. The legacy continues, but the rivalry does not... I don't see things like that. I have even said a few times that we shared the stage many times, 15 years and we ended up being, I don't say friends because I never had dinner with him, but we are professional colleagues, we respect each other.”
CR7 talks about a «circus» in Portuguese football and assumes: «The Arab League is better»
Captain addressed Portuguese football controversy
Cristiano Ronaldo, the player with the most caps in the team's history, commented, in anticipation of the games - Slovakia and Luxembourg - counting towards Euro 2024 qualification, the growth of the Saudi championship and left criticisms of the Portuguese championship, regarding the recent controversies.
«It's normal to criticize, which League isn't criticized? Where are there no problems? Controversy? There are in Arabia and Portugal, with the recent situations that are happening. I knew and I continue to say, maybe everyone thought I was crazy... but after all, I'm not crazy anymore", he began by saying.
«I believe that the Arab League is better than the Portuguese. There is not so much noise, the quality of the names is much better. I hope it can improve, I know it will be difficult. Possibly impossible. What has been happening recently has ended up being a circus,” he highlighted.
Finally, in relation to the growth of football in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo highlighted that he is a “pioneer” and said that “it is an honor to change Arab culture”.
«It is now normal to play in the Saudi League. As an Al Nassr player, I knew this was going to happen. For me, it's an honor to change a culture, not just football, and have great players go there. It makes me extremely proud. Why not give them a chance? I was the pioneer for this and I feel proud, but what I want most is for the Arab League to continue to evolve in the coming years", he concluded.
António Silva among those nominated for the Kopa Trophy, a trophy that rewards the best under-21 players in the world
In the middle of an entire constellation, there is a Portuguese man. António Silva is on the list of nominees for the Kopa Trophy. The award in question is part of the Ballon d'Or gala and aims to distinguish the best under-21 player today.
Benfica's central defender is among the ten finalists, but surrounded by several figures from world football. In addition to the young Portuguese international, names like Jude Bellingham, Gavi, Pedri or Eduardo Camavinga also managed to find a place among the ten candidates.
Since the award's creation, António Silva is the third Portuguese person to join the final list of nominees. In 2019, in the second edition, João Félix came in third place and Nuno Mendes was a finalist in 2021 and 2022, having been placed in fourth and fifth place, respectively. The current holder of the award is Spaniard Gavi, who will have the chance to revalidate the achievement.
The full list of nominees:

Elye Wahi (Lens/France)

FC Porto formalizes «84 reasons» to cancel the game against Arouca
Document delivered to the Justice Council
Following the game against Arouca (1-1), FC Porto has already formalized the protest against the game at the Portuguese Football Federation's Justice Council.
According to the official statement, the club listed «84 reasons to justify the existence of errors in the process of reversing the penalty awarded against Mehdi Taremi in the 90th minute.»
According to the Dragons, Miguel Nogueira could not reverse the penalty decision, without resorting to a careful analysis in the VAR. Remember that the system was inoperative at Estádio do Dragão.
The AF Lisboa referee ended up using his cell phone to contact Cidade do Futebol. After the call, the decision was changed, with Arouca continuing with a 0-1 advantage.
According to the blue and whites, in addition to the document issued, “evidence in video format was also attached, a statement from the Arbitration Council (CA), the report of referee Miguel Nogueira, the report of the League delegate, the request addressed to the CA and the response thereto.”
Aris FC, 5th biggest team in Greece and the traditional rivals of PAOK in Thessaloniki, are up for sale. Apparently their owner is currently in talks with an American businessman currently.
He also received a death threat a couples day ago, apparently from someone close to Olympiacos owner Marinakis.

Bernardo Silva and Rúben Dias among those nominated for the Ballon d'Or
They were the only Portuguese nominated
Bernardo Silva and Rúben Dias, two of Manchester City's main protagonists, are among the 30 nominated for the Ballon d'Or. The award, it should be noted, was created by France Football magazine, which contains the names of Portuguese internationals.
Both players, it should be noted, were part of the Manchester City team that won the famous treble, after the citizens won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
Last season, Bernardo Silva was one of the team's highlights, with 55 games, seven goals scored and six assists recorded, while Rúben Dias - in the defensive sector - also stood out, having played 43 games and scored one goal.
Last year, remember, the Portuguese Bernardo Silva, João Cancelo, Rafael Leão and Cristiano Ronaldo were nominated for the trophy, with Leão being the best placed (14th).

Bosnia: plays in the Premier League and was suspended for not showing up at training camp
Anel Ahmedhodzic presented physical complaints
Anel Ahmedhodzic played 90 minutes in Sheffield United's draw against Everton, was called up to the national team, but will not be present in the games with Liechtenstein and Iceland, for disciplinary reasons.
The 24-year-old defender did not participate in training camp with the national team, supposedly due to physical problems and ended up being suspended by the Bosnian Federation, taking into account the severity of the injury.
According to Sheffield's statement, the central defender was suffering from a "minor serious" injury, so the Federation understands that Anel should have presented himself in preparation for the national team's double commitment.
The Bosnian Federation also informs that the national team's medical team tried to contact the player, but without success and therefore decided to apply disciplinary proceedings to the Sheffield defender, who is now suspended indefinitely.

Pinto da Costa comments on FC Porto - Arouca: «A joke»
Porto president addressed controversy
Pinto da Costa, president of FC Porto, commented - this Wednesday -, at the presentation of the book, Domingos Paciência - Biografia Desportiva, the current state of the club and addressed the most recent controversies.
Regarding FC Porto's last game and the «84 reasons» to cancel the game against Arouca, the president refused to address the matter for fear of being fined, however, he highlighted that the events towards the end of the match were «a joke».
«Of course, but I'm not going to comment, it's a subject that I don't know. I only know the essentials. Not to be fined. [In relation to the game] it was a joke", highlighted the Porto leader who also addressed the recent controversies about Rui Moreira, president of Porto's CM, who criticized Sérgio Conceição.
«For me this is not a topic, everyone has the opportunity to express what they understand. It didn't affect me at all. Sérgio Conceição is the coach of FC Porto, it was my personal choice and as long as I'm at FC Porto he will always be the coach and I hope he stays for many years because I like to see FC Porto win", he concluded.

Trubin: «The first days at Benfica were very challenging»
Ukrainian goalkeeper has not yet made his debut
Anatolii Trubin, Benfica's goalkeeper, is - at the moment - preparing for international clashes, playing for Ukraine. Speaking to the Ukrainian Federation, the most expensive goalkeeper in the history of the red club was enthusiastic about the new direction in his career and highlighted the importance of “leaving the comfort zone”.
«Everything is new. The first few days were very challenging, because everything was different. I had to adapt. At Benfica they welcomed me well, everyone helped and advised me. With each passing day I feel more confident", began by mentioning the Ukrainian goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper, remember, cost 10 million (plus one for goals) to Benfica's coffers, however, he has not yet made his debut for the Reds. Taking this into account, the 22-year-old player revealed that the “most important thing is to play”.
«The most important thing now is to start playing. But for that you have to work. I believe this will happen very soon. I want to play for both the national team and the club. It’s the best thing that could happen,” he added.

Benfica's SAD presents a profit of 4.2 million euros
Positive balance in 2022/23
Benfica presented this Wednesday to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM) the financial results for the previous season, 2022/23, which boil down to a profit of 4.2 million euros.
After two consecutive seasons in which the incarnated SAD ended with a loss (17.4 million euros in 20/21 and 35 million in 2021/22), the data this time is much more encouraging, with an increase of 21.9 per percent in global revenues (from 233.5 to 284.7 million euros) and 15.6 percent when excluding athlete transfers. Spending (271 million euros), in turn, rose just 2.2 percent compared to the previous year, or 1.3 percent if transfers are excluded.
The rise in income is due to several factors. There was an increase of 8.9 million euros in UEFA prizes, as Benfica, despite repeating the quarter-finals of the previous season, recorded much better numbers in the group stage; ticketing income also grew by 5.8 million euros and there were increases of 3.7 and 2.7 million euros in sponsorship and corporate revenue, respectively.
The positive results are also related to the decrease in the wage bill, which would never have been possible without the sales of athletes, particularly the transfer of Enzo Fernández to Chelsea in January.
The value of the debt was reduced by 4.3 percent, to a total of 140.8 million euros. Conversely, the Reds' own capital reached 113.2 million euros which, although significantly lower than that recorded two years ago, means an improvement of 3.9 percent compared to 2021/22.
Among the remaining numbers, the increase in global assets stands out to 557.8 million euros, which represents an increase of 4.5 percent compared to the previous year, while liabilities represent 444.6 million euros .
so i can like aris because of etebo

Thorgan Hazard returns to Belgium to play for Anderlecht
Leaves Borussia Dortmund permanently
Thorgan Hazard is back in Belgian football, 10 years after playing for Zulte Waregem on loan from Chelsea. The 30-year-old winger left Borussia Dortmund and signed a three-year contract with Anderlecht.
The historic club spent around four million euros to secure the signing of Eden Hazard's brother, just one day after signing another well-known name in European football: Kasper Schmeichel. This summer Anderlecht had also secured names like Thomas Delaney, Kasper Dolberg and Augustinsson.
There were 18 goals and 20 assists in 123 matches for Borussia Dortmund, one of them in the current season. In 2022/23 he was loaned to PSV, where he scored two goals in 13 official games.
Thorgan Hazard will wear the number 11 jersey at Anderlecht, ranked 11th in the last edition of the Jupiler Pro League.
