To recap:
Cabella was injured & without club at the beginning of 2022, MHSC was struggling in Ligue 1.
Cabella called Nicollin: "hey I'd like to help you if you want, I'll sign for 3 months, see if I can help the club, let me know!"
Nicollin responded to him not an hour later with a 3 months + 2 year contract extension. But tells Cabella "sorry for the 3 months I can't give you any good salary at all", to which Cabella said "I don't care, I just want to play for MHSC."
So Cabella joins, plays well (he was injured for a super long time) at his return (he's even elected player of the month), and helps MHSC escape from relegation with ease.
However, during the season, Cabella told Nicollin "I've been to many clubs... with French national team... and this club seriously does not have strict measures... everyone is doing whatever they want... that should be fixed."
So, summer comes. Cabella's short contract ends & he's ready to sign 2 year extension. Tells Nicollin "I'm only interested in MHSC. Whoever comes knocking, I promise you I will refuse every club, even Man City, just to play with MHSC." Nicollin says "Ok let me just sell Mollet to Schalke & you can sign."
Mollet signs with Schalke... no response from Nicollin. Cabella calls Nicollin, Nicollin tells him "just wait for the coach to return from vacation & I'll talk to him"... coach comes back from vacation... Nicollin doesn't contact Cabella.
A few days later, Savanier renews his contract & Khazri (Cabella's friend) signs with MHSC. Cabella tries to call Nicollin, who did not pick up the phone ever since. In the interview, Cabella said "If Nicollin did not trust me, at least be a man and tell me to my face!"
