They did awfully
54 last season
28 this one
in the mud together lol
dark times under jooben
Soon EFL derby
Whilst being rivals
get ready
Some Utd legends say that UCL is too far for United now
Ate good didn’t you😭
Yeah no. No sir. Sorry. This was the worst year Manchester United have had, at least that I’ve been able to witness
We should be able to qualify yhis season as 5th place is probably going get ucl
But can’t trust the team after last season lol
Yes im satisfied that my team will win the ucl this season next year, Hala madrid ❤️🩹
Damn right, didn’t expect it at all at the start of last season
23/24 season i was very happy, i've not been happy at all with the end, relegated to league one and we're just doing SO fucking shite
I remember praying that PSG even make the CL playoffs 💔
not very satisfied with how we performed in the 2024/25 season but this new season(25/26) i am pretty satisfied..... we are improving
I'm not surprised, I understand it
they fell short
- bottled the league title by many sub-par performances
(i believe it was ours to lose as we had the strongest team in italy, whilst napoli deserved it) - lost to rivals in a humiliating coppa italia SF exit
- had an incredible SF comeback in the UCL to...
LOSE 5 FUCKING NIL IN THE UCL FINAL FALLING APART COMPLETELY AND BOTTLING EVERYTHING
that's just 24/25, i feel it's early to talk about this season
This is probably the best year we've had in my lifetime
Top 4, but slipping away
Aye, 4 points from the top, but the chase for top 4 is probably the tightest it's been in years. Gotta refocus if promotion is our real aim.
We had harry Maguire score a late winner on us in the Europa League quarter final
Wasn't it the quarter finals
I might have been I'm pretty sure it was the semis I'm not that tapped in with our men's side
Yeah it was
Bilbao fan or Lyon fan?
Lyon
Aye, it was the quarters
I watch more women's football then mens ✌️
mostly satisfied
Given how many injuries plagued Tottenham's season to start 2025. Winning the Europa league was massively satisfying. Would say I'm unsatisfied with how the club decided to move on from that going against the entire identity of Tottenham. To dare is to do
And our form also speaks words
No
First part of the year was bad but now we are better
Satisfied with ucl football
Yes pretty satisfied, we are cooking in UCL and can sense another arsenal bottle so a win for us..... City were much better this year than the last year
Very satisfied, they exceeded my expectations for most parts. From going near relegation after half a season, to UCL spot losing no games to even Bayern, very dominant. Ups and downs but experienced more ups ❤️
Good start but we have stumbled a bit in december
Fuh nah 💔
short
I got 3 Clubs:
- Louisville City FC: As for my local club, the regular season was exceptional having the most points in USL Championship history. Playoffs though, they massively choked considering they were huge favorites to win the Playoff Championship.
- Espanyol: They performed amazing this year and beyond all expectations. Survived relegation to end the 2024/25 season and made some good signings in the summer. I predicted that they'll finish mid-table this season but now the Pericos sit 5th in the table and are competing for Europe. What a fantastic turnaround for a club that's been yo-yoing between La Liga and Segunda Division over the past few years.
- Everton: Very happy that Everton is doing great in 2025. Hiring Moyes last season just changed the energy of the Toffees and has made this club much more competitive in general. For the first time in a few years, Everton are no longer battling relegation and are comfortably mid-table. The team has cooled off a bit over the last few games this season but hoping a nice January window can improve the team a good deal.
everton: moyes’ stability and new owners have helped us come out of our shit era but it remains to be seen if he will stay in the long term a lá his first stint. despite our depth issues, the players are mostly alright (besides full backs as we are playing a center back out of position and a player who cannot attack) with the main standouts being kdh, ndiaye, and pickford as always. as opposed to a lot of our fanbase i believe our 30 million euro striker we bought this summer will start scoring but the fraudkin group’s complete refusal to sign a full-back which can support our attack is bewildering (i hoped it would be taken care of in the winter but moyes stated we will have a quiet january window)
Could do better 1st team isnt playing good with the players they got 2nd team needs to be more consistent
Good
real sociedad: aperribay go back to selling your stupid weapons instead of using them to (figuratively) destroy our team. worst season in about a decade with our new manager only being chosen because he was the cheapest despite the fact that we made so much money in recent windows with the gooners giving us so much for zubimendi. certain players could not give less of a fuck and i cannot wait for the winter window where hopefully sadiq, sucic, and kubo aka the overrated bum who has been doing nothing for more than a year stop embarrassing our club. at least thanks to players such as ander barrene, oyarzabal, jon martin, and gorrotxategi among others and bargain bin signing guedes rediscovering his form our situation is not as bad as it could be but the future remains bleak with oyarzabal potentially going to barcelona (i don’t blame him at all) and several clubs hunting after jon martin.
at least we were able to beat athletic club in quite the dramatic fashion (but that’s mainly because athletic is even worse). here’s to believing in the small chance that pellegrino materazzo ball will fix our problems
At the very start yes, at the end of last season no. 💔 and at the start of this season nahh never, and now it’s okay, nothing too crazy. Been a crazy year 😭
Insanely mixed feelings
We are on position 1 over the winter break but also finished the worst season in club history
Both
if i speak im in big trouble
I'm Barcelona but i would say a little bit
we went into 2025 as 2nd in the league
Was not expecting chelsea to beat barca hell yeah im satisfied
Also psg in the cwc
Now just to win the premier league
I'm fan of 1. FC Nuremberg, I'm okay with our performance and I think we're on a good way, I just hope we don't sell too many players next summer
Delusional
Let a man dream for once
Okay👍🏻, but don't be sad if they won't win
If i see arsenal bottle the league it'll just be proof that london is blue
It worked out in 25/26 yeah
They will still be on top of you
And even Fulham might be on top of Chelsea
Is Aston Villa also a London club?
What? Mannheim isn't that good right now
Mate we were fighting relegation last 2 years fym isn’t that good
The question was about this year
But now you are stuck in 3rd division in the middle of nowhere
?????
?
We‘ve been in that league since 19/20
Yes but you want to go up
In 24/25 we were barely escaping relegation
But this season you already changed the coach
So being not near to relegation is better????
Which relegation do you mean? Up or down
Ok
Oh okay
But I thougt you want to be promoted
And the last months you were in a lot of trouble
Am ok with them
Yeah, but if it doesn’t happen this season it ain’t that bad
Just want it better than last years
As a Barça fan, can't complain. One of the best years supporting this club 💙 ❤️
on a scale of 1-10, 8
We did really well this season but the Inter game, PSG game, Chelsea game, Madrid game 💔
so very satisfied
Benfica?
City
I dont support Portugal as my national team i just want them to win the 2026 World Cup
Question 198
Looking back on 2025 as a whole, how would you describe the year in football? What moments, trends, or storylines best defined it for you?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Psg winning the champions league is like porto
Crazy right
Curacao qualifying for the World Cup
I liked the "are you are you coming to Madrid" trend that was funny
My club won their first trophy in 92 years, best football year of my life, and we also won against villa somehow
Yeah this year is just full of upsets
ass 👍🏻 you aint watching football like 2000s or 2010s again
PSG winning the UCL, Curacao going to World Cup, and Man united having done the biggest comeback of 2025 against Lyon
see you next year for the daily question
Weirdest year since a long time
Chelseas match against Barca was incredibly fun to watch and one of the top moments for me. Another big moment would have been Crystal palaces FA cup win as it was the first time I can remember a non prem champ winning that cup for a long time
Underdogs year
bit of a boring year, a lot of flops and money playing too big of a part in the beautiful game
Manor Solomon last minute winner to win us the championship
plymouth argyle vs liverpool, brentford vs plymouth just summarises it 🥰
oh there just had to be someone
It was a pretty bad year for football, PSG won the UCL, Chelsea the Club WM which was held in in the US...pretty shit
Ruben Amorim getting away with every war crime on planet earth
praying to the Lord this fucker is gone
That Leeds united owns Chelsea
Year of Underdogs
PSG’s performance in the ucl final perhaps
Who?
madrid getting belted by Arsenal by rice 😭
the Yamal obssession, PSG finally being the best in the world after 14 years of oil money
That was sick
cant make fun of spurs anymore ffs
Richarlison theory.
Palace FA Cup really shaped 2025 as the underdog year. First major trophy ever
start of the year vs end of the year
Lol
Barca back baby
2026 will be barcas
barça 4 el clásico wins in a row this year
Domestic Treble
Narrowly missing out on ucl final football tragically
Most league points in 2025 and heading out the year on top
Not bad
Hopefully 2026 will deliver 💯
Unpredictable year most definitely
quite satisfied
5-4 Lyon Comeback in the quarters all just to lose to spurs in the end
A horrible season containing big losses, but since the new season started even tho we suffered a terrible loss to Grimsby and drew to wolves we are still making progress
Question 199
Happy New Year, everyone! As we step into 2026, what are your biggest expectations, hopes, or predictions for football this year, whether for your club, your country, or the sport as a whole?
<@&1392052021108146207>
I want Turkey to finally qualify for the world cup and I want Fenerbahçe to finally win the league
An entertaining & amazing world cup
Biggest event on Earth is back again

To see if Yamal can continue showing he is worth the hype.

England win the world cup
City Premier League
Norway World Cup Quarter Finals
Haaland Ballon Dor
Wasn't sent at 2 mate, bin daily question off
i have a life too man
i can't always post at the exact same time everyday 😭
When Churchill was tired fighting Hitler he didn't say "I've got a life", he just did his job
Oh idk maybe hoping our 11 year UCL drought ends
Ecuador in the quarterfinals of the WC and we win a trophy
to get promoted to primera federación again
Spain-Argentina WC final
I hope Cosovo does it
man united winning the premier league in 2027
and portugal winning the WC
It's about 2026, not 2027
well the 2026/2027 season
Ok fine, but is it realistic that ManU wins the BPL?
BPL? it's the EPL and hopefully we win
Barclays Premier League = BPL
I js hope man utd finishes in the top 6 this season, top 5 if possible
Also, i hope we have an underdog that goes far in the wc this year like morocco last wc
since my country isnt in the wc 😭
I think ManU finishes at 8th
Which one?
Singapore
oh mate pls dun say that 😭
Oh
I want FIFA to stop farming money
Burnley to sack Parker and stay in prem
PSG to win UCL and l1 cause we are 2nd
Poland to qf to wc
Mainoo wins the Ballon D'or
Whatever vivecovich said
I wish as well bro 💔
7th ucl, top 4 in the league, either uzbek or jordan winning world cup 😛
Hope my clubs dont relegate
A trophy, a trophy, and fun
Hope my team still gets Europe after shooting itself in the foot
Barca to win champions league - Morocco to march on the world cup - Morocco to win the afcon
France france france!
Just give us more amazing games. This along the World Cup would make me very happy, especially with the club I support. At least I get to watch good football
Portugal win the world cup
Ronaldo wins the balon do'r
Madrid makes it to ucl semi final
Chelsea gets second place in the premier league
A new ucl champion, if Paris wins it, still good
Real Madrid wins champions league, France win wc and Mbappe wins ballandor.
France wins World Cup.
Montpellier promotes to Ligue 1.
Chelsea wins any trophy.
Refereeing improves.
get back to the ucl and england win the world cup
antony ballon dor next year
That modern media dies in a fire, originality returns, ballon d'or gets deleted due to its false significance these days, Fraudizio Romano fully gets recognized for the unethical person he is, multi club ownership gets banned, foreign state ownership gets banned, and uh
Whitecaps to win MLS/Supporter shield/champions cup
Valid except RBNY to win the cup
arsenal 2nd again
I hope Barca win the ucl
-# ik they wont
:(
Let's find out that with new araujo
Argentina won 2025 wc too
3 in a row
For each of the 3 clubs I support:
- Louisville City: This time to seal the deal in the playoffs especially with their disappointing first round exit in the USL Championship Playoffs. Also, to get some quality talent aboard considering they have lost some significant talent.
- Espanyol: Two things that I would love to have happen in 2026 is to get a big derby win against Barcelona on Saturday. The other thing, get a place in European competition for next season and doesn't matter which it is (Champions League would be a dream come true but unlikely).
- Everton: To pick up momentum after a big 2-0 over Nottingham Forest and carry it on through the rest of the season to the best of their ability. Also, hoping that Everton can get an opportunity to keep Grealish on a permanent basis.
After a great 2025 where Viking won their first title in 34 years and Norway qualified for their first World Cup in 28 years I just hope some level of competitiveness.
For Viking, whichever European tournament we end up on. Just a few points in the league phase will be incredible.
For Norway, getting out of the groups would be a great achievement.
Top 4, since no chance we win the league
Question 200
Which football era do you feel most connected to, and which team or player defines that era for you?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Question 200 🎉
2010-2017
2010s
this generation of players 2020s
2010s era definitely
The 2010'S
Barca 2014-18
2010-2015 for me, I got into football properly at the 2010 fifa world cup so my first 5 years as a fan were when I had the most fun in the sport
2010s for sure
I could say late 2000s but realistically 2010s onward
2016-2019, Camillo Ciano
And, ofc, Cesena
Sry, just wanted to respond here:
Genuinely hope we get 6th place or above in Serie B, and we finally qualify to Serie A, all im asking for
2010s, FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi define that era for me.
2020s only era I really watched
late 1800s + arthur capes stands out for me
2020s
Club
2010s, Barca and Madrid.
and also Sunderland and Stoke
2010s, Eden Hazard, Chelsea
Portugal 2016 🏆
2010s ig?
2020's being my local club of Louisville City.
2020-2025
2026 raphina
2011-17 ronaldo rma
2010-2018
the late 00s because those years i was about 10-14 and about the time i was most obssessed with football probably.
06-10 had fergie era, wenger arsenal, there was no PSG, Chelsea was the only real oil club as City was just starting, Pep v Mourinho derbies in Spain
Serie A was still really strong, and Ibra was my biggest idol back then.
My national team went for a world cup for the first time in a long time, and following this golden gen in its baby steps, when Vidal, Alexis, Gary Medel were all young starlets, man its just a beautiful time for football for me.
late 2000s to 2010s
2010s was when I got into football
2010 till 2019 was great and for me perhaps one of the best eras
late 2010’s, we broke into the premier league finally after our main rivals Swansea ended up in Europe.
No-neck Nathaniel Mendez Laing defines that period for me
Question 201
Do you think Chelsea and Maresca mutually ending their relationship was a good decision, or was it rushed and unnecessary?
<@&1392052021108146207>
rushed and unnecessary
no
Ruined their stability & season
If your gonna spend 1b then you should atleast win a ucl or league but Chelsea should have done it at the end of the season
DONT COME HERE THO 🙏
It reminds me of Chelsea sacking Tuchel for no reason. So unnecessary.
Rushed and unnecessary
From what I’ve heard smart decision by maresca but absolutely mindless from Chelsea. Was necessary for maresca
So rushed.
Ruined their szn
Rushed
Rushed and unnecessary
Rushed and unnecessary
Rushed and unnecessary
rushed
wish Ineos had standards like this
I get why people think its stupid but I agree with tge board here
Both, more a good decision than not though
Silly management from the Chelsea board but the relationship couldn't continue once it got thus far
Hella rushed and completely unnecessary
It was rushed
Terrible decison if the board just backed Maresca it would not have been necessarry and I cannot see another manager who would be willing to be a yes man do better than he did
rushed and will set Chelsea back yet again
Rushed and unnecessary imo
Rushed and uneccessary
What why
They're gonna regret this
2nd best itw(behind Tommaso Berti, ofc)
Good on Maresca.
Nope
Whatever they decided was going to be the wrong decision. This whole thing is the result of having owners that are entirely focused on the business aspect, and if anything maresca probably leaves earlier if they didn't win club World Cup lol
Bad because they won the club World Cup with him and I mean yeah
Question 202
Joan García delivered an insane, Man of the Match–worthy performance yesterday to help Barcelona beat Espanyol in the derby. Where do you rank him among the best goalkeepers in the world right now?
<@&1392052021108146207>
1
Top 5 maybe
He’s top 5
He was better at Espanyol, yet no one knew him 🤔
On current form top 3
Current form 1
The top 5
5th or 6th.
Idk if he’s been better than Courtois or Donnaruma cuz i don’t watch Madrid or city games
Ye
2
But im being biased asf
Gotta be top 5
Top6
Courtois pickford raya allison oblak donarumma
Top7
✌️
Top 3, best Spanish keeper in my opinion as well
Mate just accept that you finally got a consistent good gk and you think hes like top5 cause of that which isnt the truth
better than both this season
“Pickford” “Alisson” seriously? Does bro even watch football
Laughable take
Pickford has been in the english int team for a reason hes a better gk than joan garcia
Lets also talk about the fact this is joan garcias first season at abrca
We will see
Alisson is goof..
Good
What
Lmao
Barca pr getting out of hand lowk
Purely on statistics barely anyone has been better than him so far, still only 6 months though so sample size is small(espanyol spell great but different conditions). But if he keeps this level for a year or two he is comfortably amongst the top 3/5 in the world.
Tough to give an exact placement rn due to the short sample size, but the performances so far are certainly very very good.

Top 5 for now
Top 5
Were do u find these websites
Top 10
Nope cause i don't watch La liga
Szczęsny better btw
Top 10
Comfortably top 5
Easily top 3, could even say hes the best
top 15. Diogo Costa still better
top 3
we did, how do you think we recruited him 👀
Top 3
The best
top 5
Courtois and Allison ain't Allat rn
^^
Courtois Allison Donarumma Raya Pickford - top 5 - I haven't heard of Garcia.
.
Top 10
Top 2
i rank him as the upcoming best keeper in years to come
bro give me website name
datamb
Thanks bro👍🏻
Question 203
Rúben Amorim has been sacked by Manchester United. Do you think he was the problem at Manchester United, or are the club’s deeper structural issues holding them back, meaning they should stop sacking managers so frequently?
<@&1392052021108146207>
LOOL?? ONE MORE??
He was kinda a problem but he wasn't sacked he left
BRO MANCHESTER UNITED IS SO BRAINDEAD
He was sacked
He was relieved of his duties
he was bad. Should’ve never given him the job.
this is a problem
Mark My Words
This is no different from when they sacked Ten Hag. Should've done it at the end of the season instead of mid-season.
Stupid ass club won't get anywhere.
Deep structural issues
The problem runs down to the core, the board and the owners and SJR. Now we’re stuck with Fletcher for 6 months until we get a manager in the summer. Amorim had to go for me, but my goodness the fact that we sacked him while Berrada and Wilcox are still here and INEOS and SJR? The cycle’s not ending any time soon.
United is finna gonna get relegated this season if not then maximum 2 more seasons later, MARK MY WORDS!
stfu
both
Definelty deeper problems given the ammount of managers they have had without much success it suggests there is problems with the ownership and general running of the club not just the manager
It was reported that he was sacked
Moyes
Van Gaal
Mourinho
Ole
Rangnick
Ten Hag
Amorim
Mourinho, ronaldo, rangnick and amorim all spoke up, got terminated/sacked. What do u think?
The club structure is the problem, Amorim was such a good trainer at Sporting Portugal
Second option without a doubt
There are deeper issues at the club, but Amorim was also simply not doing a very good job.
Around 30% win rate in the Premier League with Manchester United is nowhere near acceptable.
Not Amorim supporter but
Board were waiting for 1 year so they could save up their termination clause
I mean Amorim had a bad start and reputation and there were little good moments in the autumn season
The Board were waiting for Amorim's mistake to sack him at the right time
But it will cost alot cuz sacking in mid season is bad idea
Just when he was getting good bro
I dont get the agenda of "stop sacking every time" when every top club does it and no one says a thing
its a problem only when United do it
and yes Amorim deserved the sack for his performances and setup
Rushed and unnecessary
Funny management
Chelsea sacking was more shocking tbh
Good, Maresca left this shit
Chelsea board really wants "yes man" for their team
Honestly, it's both. Amorim is too inconsistent to keep lasting success but there are so many issues within the club itself mainly with the ownership and management.
And yes, the sacking was valid, just the timing was wrong.
United are getting themselves in to an awkward cycle. Sacking a coach mid-season means a new guy comes in, hasn't got much time to really put his ideas in place, and the squad he has is filled with baggage.
By the time summer comes, the new coach is now carrying that baggage.
What United really need is to get a new coach ready to start July 1st. Revamp the squad, everyone should be for sale. The new coach and new players aren't then carrying baggage in to a new season.
the club is a mess, the owners and the fans think they are bigger than what they are and that is united's problem
imo the board is at the wrong here
Yes
The club is the problem
both
clubs now have that thing of sacking whenever it goes bad for a shoort period of time (Wolves, Nottm Forest, Chelsea and now Utd), this thing is heading nowhere, look at Slot, he stayed cuz they let him a chance
and Ratcliffe can't even assume what he says
"I let him 3 years"
not even 3 months later: sacked
Agreed
However slot really has to go
He’s a horrible coach and somehow done the impossible and made Mohamed Salah his enemy
Salah is getting aged also
but I can hear your opinion, and maybe yes he would
Klopp was way better anyways
wanna know something ? Garnacho liked the sacking of Amorim
Of course there are deep issues at man united. If there was not then they would be a good team by now as they keep making little band aid changes but nothing has changed over the years. But as long as they believe that their "big club" status means that they should always be challenging for the treble each season and pretending like they are a prime destination for everyone who will stay at a high level for many years to come, more of the current situation will follow.
this is how i find out lol
it's leaning more towards the latter.
I think they will change actually when comes back from league one again.
we seriously need the oil money back 😭
Question 204
Who do you think are the biggest cult heroes of your club?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Norbert Dickel
Otto Siffling for being the best player and an antifascist
Fritz Walter for his 4 goals in one match against
PSG: Dembélé
Chelsea: Drogba
Mascherano, Rakitic and Frenkie De Jong
Cesar Azpilicueta
Nial Quinn
Totti and De Rossi
Insigne and Mertens 2014
In recent years, Aubameyang and Luuk de Jong at Barcelona but they didn't spend a significant amount of time at the club.
Some other names on the top of my head:
- Juliano Belletti
- Seydou Keita
- Franck Kessie
- Adriano (Brazilian fullback)
- Paulinho
- Jasper Cillessen
They are way bigger than cult heroes though
- David norris
One of the biggest Chelsea legends
That aint no cult hero
Aren’t they Napoli’s some of the highest scorers in history
Nice list
At man utd, i feel it has to be rafael and fabio silva
Whenever someone say man utd right backs, everyone says the neville brothers
mmh yeah
@nova pulsar Mascherano and Rakitic would be classified as legends. Way bigger status than cult heroes.
Martin odegaard
Brother he is madrid’s goat😭
ma answer in Florentino Perez and cr7
That’s not what a cult hero means
coppa italia 2014 final performance☝️
aw
Very big united legend
Bigger than a cult hero ngl
Yeah but if they are napoli’s highest goalscorer evers thats way bigger than cult hero status
eric
That is more so legendary status
Yeah diawara is a good shout for Napoli cult hero
Mertens & Insigne are more legends
Not cult heroes
born and bred napoli fan responds to recent napoli fanslop (i'm sorry)
trejo, isi, bebe, valentin
Oh yh definitely
can't forget the big man
Petagna
Who was actually somehow decent
He was the catalyst for the Fergie era
ig yah
Only supported since early 2010s, Cavani, McTominay, Maguire, Fellaini, Bailly, AWB, Romero, Herrera, Chicharito names that come to my mind first
Rakitic, aubameyang and luuk
I went random sorry
Rakitic is also rated as a legend by Barcelona
Auba yeah true
Kind of a cult hero amongst Barcelona fans
Look at my editing
I added luuk
Luuk also cool shout
Fabio Silva
I absolutely think Thiago Alcantara should be one and at least was at one point
Drogba, Diawara, Waddle, Bielsa
Chidi Odia, Vagner Love, Doumbia, Yazici, Shemberbas
And much more
Honestly there are a lot because we love worshipping mid players lol
There's plenty for Espanyol to list honestly since they never have been as successful as Barca. I say the biggest are Thomas N'kono, Maranon, and Canito.
for our “modern era”
John Aldridge (1st non-basque player to play for Real Sociedad in decades, played very well and took to the culture)
Nihat (winger who starred in Real Sociedad’s 2nd place finish in 2002, our first title challenge in decades)
Kovacevic also starred but he is closer to being a genuine legend
Xabi Prieto is also definitely a legend and Oyarzabal will be for cert if he stays
also icl most youth products from our academy (one of the best itw) become at least cult heroes if they stay
Manafá and Zaidu at fullbacks
Stoppable force and movable object
No Question
is cult the same as legend?
on the top of my head, Tiago and Cebolla
augusto fernandes
He is Barca’s biggest ever legend mate…
Thats not what a cult hero is
i dont know what cult hero means :/
One of BVB’s biggest ever legends
Not a cult hero

@dull sinew @cobalt thistle
Players who aren’t that good or were at a team for a very short time but are very much loved by the fanbase still are called “cult heroes”
For example Origi for Liverpool, wasn’t an elite player or anything but Liverpool fans still love him as he scored important goals
Joselu for Madrid a recent example for his ucl goals in 2024
Messi & Reus are some of the biggest names in Barcelona/BVB’s history so they are way bigger status than cult heroes
hmmm
You dont have to be "not that good" to be considered a cult hero, its the qualities outside of skills that matter, like dedication, Connection, personality, blah blah blah
Atleast thats how i define it
And reus is more than just skills obv
i’ve always thought of cult heroes as players who aren’t legends but are still loved by the fans
even if they were still very good
Well your personal definition can be whatever
But thats what cult hero means
Even then reus is a very big bvb legend, so he doesn’t fit the cult hero metric by any means
Thats also another valid definition
i mean since both my clubs have won a combined 1 trophy this century
🤷♂️
Reus made over 400 appearances for Dortmund & scored over 150 goals & is comfortably the clubs best player this century. Won a couple of Pokal’s as well.
Thats a lot of success, his status is definitely bigger than a cult hero.
Well like i dont expect agreement, i just want it to be understandable where my point is coming from
👽
I agree to a degree but his success is very limited in trophies due to his decision to stay at Dortmund with various offers of bigger clubs
Not only in the trophies closet, but also in the fact that he didnt get a Ballon dor notification in the 18/19 (iirc) season
I have chatted in this channel way more than i ever did before
a cult hero would be Henrik Larsson
or Pinto
for Man United probably Chicharito
Yildiz ✌️
Olmo
What about Nicolas Anelka?
Yeah he kind of fits
Good shout for barca yeah
hmm Ibra for Man United
Very good shout
Was there just for 18 months but wow
yep
i was thinking
he gotta be more cult than legend
like u said, short term
huge impact, loved by fans
Yh
Question 205
The Supercopa de España has been held in Saudi Arabia regularly. Do you think minor tournaments like these being organised abroad is fine, or does this also ruin the culture of the sport?
<@&1392052021108146207>
As long as it’s minor tournaments, then yes it’s fine
Eh
utter woke nonsense
I don’t have a problem with it
If it means no serious games move, it's the lesser of 2 evils.
Doesn't really matter to me as long as the game is being played
If it's a national tournament it's supposed to be held in that nation
it produces lame games without any atmosphere as fans can't come
It ruins the sport
Not really bothered by these super cups being played abroad, as long as the League games & Cup games stay in their home country
its ok for a two matches tournament
the tournament isnt ok bc npc teams become even more richer by farming it tho
fuck countries like saudi for sportswashing
who cares about having an opinion at this point, its not like we have any power whatsoever to influence
if its advertised as a friendly tournament and not domestic, competitive or anything, its fine
I don’t think it matters honestly. At least it’s not league games being played overseas
no, it should stay in Spain
Hard to say it's even minor with the way media promotes it. Also supercups in general should be preseason and 1 match, not sure why they host it mid season
Probably would be better to be held in Spain but as long as the main ones are held at home I don’t mind too much
It's ridiculous.
probably to do with $$$ but who knows
Laliga teams shouldn't have to go to a different country to play a game for a SPANISH competition
Exactly
Yes
Mainly because it’s hosted by an Arab nation which never fail to impress
When it comes to football
I would have been fine w it if there was a legit reason, but theyre js doing it for money,
blatantly prioritising money over fans and culture, not good
I find this very good for fans that are around that (me) so getting to matches is much easier
Woops I had ping on mb
Probably same reason the sportswashed WC was in European winter
mah i dont hve a problem with that
doesnt really matter if its small events
Question 206
Man City have signed Antoine Semenyo for big money. Arsenal are currently five points ahead of them, with a game in hand. Do you think Semenyo can be a game-changer for Man City in the title race?
<@&1392052021108146207>
We are so finished for Manchester derby
Probably
Wat?
Semenyo left for City?
Guardiola lmao
Yessir
I feel like the game today will bascially decide the title. If arsenal win against Liverpool then they will go on to win but if arsenal loses then man city will come back and overtake them
Doku, Foden isnt enough
It's so confusing tbh
Idk probably he wants to throw both foden and Cherki in midfield which is a bit weird
Pep is a goat but his overreliance on big money and buying people has to be raised
Surely, although I haven't seen anything from him (since I don't watch the prem), he can change games, from what I've heard he's heavily involved in almost every attack n build up.
well, to answer the question no. I dont think a winger from Bournemouth would be a gamechanger. He is great, but not world class. In fact he could very well flop too
Remember when Bony was taken in the winter from sensational Swansea
we will see
Not really, Arsenal is already good enough and they have some decent wingers as well
Comparing Bony to Semenyo is ragebait tbh
No. City already have a very good team, he's an upgrade but it's not exactly massively significant on the whole.
I don't think him playing for Bournemouth matters to be fair. Top teams rarely develop top players, most are bought in.
Semenyo is already at a world class level at Bournemouth while Bony... let's just say he was a "prospect"
No....i feel city just bought him to increase their depth he wont get as much gametime as he did in bournemouth and i dont think he will have the biggest impact
I don't think semenyo will be 100% magic but ye
Yep our attack in the past few fixtures have been dreadful
We'll see
sensational player will def strengthen the side, will it win the title for them alone? We'll have to see
him and Doku man Pep has a filthy lineup of wingers
Yess
No
He will massively hlep City of course idk if he will turn the season around for them given the points defecit and Man Citys injuries in defence
Nahh, don’t think city will win it
He could be but I want to wait and see if that's the case once he hits the pitch.
Doubtful but possible
No we are cooked
Personally i see it as a new kalvin Philips, bcz in bornemouth he was the star but again, if he has good adapting then half the job its done
maybe
Arsenal will bottle it idc
Nope. You have that perspective because he flopped at City.
Bony costed 28 million pounds, in 2015, that was a lot of money
which means he was hot at the time
comparing them two is very valid
scored 25 goals in 54 league games for Swansea
matter fact, if Semenyo flops, we would be having this same conversation about Semenyo being a "prospect"
in the future I mean
maybe another doku or worse
The question is will he even start enough games?
no
Question 207
Viktor Gyökeres is struggling a lot at the moment. Do you think he can still bounce back and recover his form, or is he going to go down as a failed transfer for the Gunners?
<@&1392052021108146207>
His heat map is his hair
🔥🔥
Touching it all the time
I think he will bounce back
he's shit
I really hope he recovers.
Just give him more time
I say give him some time
Hell naw
He's just not good enough.
worst transfer prems seen in years
If Arteta got trust in his process then Gyok deserves to be trust in his process
It was written in the stars this would be a failed transfer imo.
And it will stay that way.
He is not europe top 5 quality and with his age I doubt he will ever really get near there.
Slows down the tempo and whatever else.
That's my thought process as well.
There still is plenty of time. Just needs to get hot at the right moment
His technique is pretty poor for the very top teams& he needs way too much space to work most of the time
I don’t think he rebounds at this point tbh
He is scoring but overally playing bad
Idt he'll be back
Arsenal is in their best now
He has 5 NPG in 23 games
i dont think he will bounce back at this form
Fuh naw
well it's only some months since he arrived, let him a bit of time, Arsenal has many stars so he needs a bit of time to bounce back
he’ll probably improve, but he isn’t capable of being an elite striker in the prem. he’s quite, quite limited and the price tag only puts more pressure on arteta to play him in conditions he isn’t supposed to be playing in, like yesterday, where he shouldn’t have started vs liverpool.
maybe just loan out
He's ass and ye I don't think he's gonna come back and be good again
hell nah
Failed tranfser for now, until he starts to click with someone in the team he might find his form back
Failed transfer
He could be a Premier League striker, don't get me wrong, i would say he perfectly fits a Crystal Palace or Fulham women's team
Just give him some time, perhaps next season he's gonna score a lot of goals
He looked good before his injury, looked like he was starting to build momentum. Ever since he came back, he has looked slow and demotivated. He doesn't even try to do the runs anymore aside from a couple good headers against Villa
Give him some time, and then transfer cause he can't achieve shit at Arsenal
Will peak at 12 goals in a single season
Question 208
If you were to create an all-time midfield three using only Barcelona and Real Madrid players, which three would you choose?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Busquets-Xavi-Iniesta
xavi busquets iniesta
Zidane
Iniesta
Busquets
Busquets Xavi Iniesta
Iniesta Busquets Xavi
xavi , inesta and modric
very gud
Iniesta
Xavi or busquets
Zidane
Zidane if we count stuff outside what they done for madrid and barca
Iniesta, Kroos and Modric
xavi busquets modric
zidanes legacy in spain has always been overrated for me
Zinedine Zidane at attacking midfield, Fernando Redondo at CDM and Xavi at Central Midfield
I disagree cause he excelled and was possibly mvp for 01-02, 02-03, 03-04 ucls
makes sense since the Galacticos project was a failure
ucls vs laliga seasons
Tchouameni olmo camavinga
how about 02-03 la liga
yeah but he didnt play that much in his last 2 i believe
more so talking abt la liga
but even if u count that
i dont think its bigger than Xavi or Iniesta at barca
but its still regarded as
Zidanes prime was outside of spain
Xavi, Modric and Busquets
Me @cloud compass and @crude gazelle
Xavi- iniesta- kroos
Zidane - Xavi - Iniesta
iniesta kroos and kaka
xavi iniesta and busquets/zidane
Iniesta modrić xavi
Iniesta, Modric, Xavi.
And we just say the same thing...
Sergio Busquets, Toni Kroos, Alex Song
Redondo, Zidane, Xavi
ceballos paulinho vidal
Xavi Zidane Iniesta
Busquets, Xavi, Zidane
The only reasonable answer is
Zidane
Modric
Iniesta
Zidane
Xavi
Iniesta
Xavi Zidane Busquets
Zidane xavi kroos
Zidane modric kroos
Arturo Vidal - Casemiro - Gravesen

Busquets, Iniesta, Valverde
Not the the best but it's balanced
Modric, iniesta, and busquets
Kroos Iniesta Xavi
Iniesata-xavi-modric
Xavi-Modric-Iniesta
Xavi iniesta zidane
Zidane exists yk
Xavi iniesta cryuf
Cryuf exists yk
fair i agree
Xavi Romeu, Iniesta
Romeu> Iniesta bro
Alex Song, Pablo Garcia and Thomas Gravesen
yk ball

Question 210
Frenkie de Jong gave an incredible performance yesterday in El Clásico. Apart from his red card, he dominated the whole match. Do you feel he deserves more praise and respect from the football community than he currently gets?
<@&1392052021108146207>
As a madridsta no
hes fairly rated
overhated by barca fans due to wage problems
He deserves more praise from the Barça fanbase, for starters.
he is quite underrated then he's perforam for this season
give the guy more respect
just more respect yeah
Deserves more praise
if i speak im in trouble
when it comes to pure football he might be just a bit overrated
idk maybe
I think he should get more flowers for his performances, he’s not bad at all, and I do rate him pretty highly. I do feel that the Barcelona fanbase either loves him or hates him
Hell yes
My goat
No
😂 ✌️
Underrated.
He is a world class midfielder, always been. People have amnesia and can't think past one week.
Nah
Yes, yes, yes. One of the best midfielders out there
feel like hes deserved the respect rn
Yes
No
Maybe
no
He should be condemned for that horrible tackle on Mbappe
Yes.
Yes.
Best midfielder yesterday, deserves the respect for the absolute world class performance in my personal opinion, never expected this big game dance honestly
Yes
No
The banter should slow down a bit definitely, but otherwise I'd say it's fair enough
no
Ko
No*
Question 211
Xabi Alonso has been sacked by Real Madrid. He generated a lot of hype and expectations following his appointment, thanks to his legendary playing career and his coaching work at Bayer Leverkusen. After this disaster at Real Madrid, do you feel Xabi still has what it takes to become a legendary manager, or do you think his Leverkusen job was just luck?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Well honestly idk
Maybe he has, maybe he hasn’t
Deffo wasn’t ready yet to manage Real Madrid
hope so
He's gonna do well at a club that isn't toxic
man its not luck
ofc hes gonna succeed at the next club
ending bayerns streak wasnt a fluke
Idk
Don't think it's all luck
Remember the style of football that he learned playing for Spain NT and under Guardiola.
Madrid is not built for that.
I think xabi was a great manager at leverkusen i think he wasnt ready to take a big jump straight at madrid if he stayed at leverkusen bit more sesons we would have been more ready and i think he will do a better job at a different club
Xabi was good but madrid isn't giving him 2-3 seasons to prove himself, he isnt a man that can magicly be able to win ucl, laliga, supercopa, copa del rey all in only 1 season man
You can't have 1 defeat in 3 competitions through luck.
He won't be the first or the last very good coach that doesn't work out at Madrid. He'll be fine.
what happened with real madrid shouldnt damage his rep
still a great coach
Nope
He can still do amazing somewhere else
Madrid is a big problem.
He does but his level isn't at Madrid's yet
Madrid r too toxic for a manager like him to succeed watch him cook at Liverpool
He can do better
Great coach he can do well outside of Real Madrid
Madrid is like…idk
He's a great manager
Unfortunately the step up was too difficult for him
There is was more pressure in Madrid than in Leverkusen
he was fighting a losing civil war at Real Madrid. Players and board refusing to accept him. Players believing they know better, the fact there is no more the old guard (Kroos, Modric, etc.) to guide the other players and especially the fact that he didn't align with Perez's Galacticos ideology set him up for failure from the start. Real Madrid as a club need to evolve and modernize in this regard to compete with the top clubs and avoid another Alonso situation
He wasn't sacked and it wasn't a disaster, just unlucky
Absolutely has what it takes its just very hard to succeed at Real given the player power in that club
Pls come back Xabi 😭
He still has what it takes. It needs to be a club willing to support him with his tactics and coaching style. Just not at Real Madrid.
Luck imo he's poor
he will be better
ABSOLUTELY has it.
I think he is, but managing Real Madrid was a bit too much for him in my opinion
Leverkusen was hella lucky, but we gotta give him the fact that the players actually played his tactics and yeah, he still has what it takes to become one.
Real Madrid job wasn't a disaster. Winning a bundes against Bayern with the points and style of play they had says it all. He is talented.
He can
Ye I see a potential to manage a good team and do great again, and I don't think it was luck
You can't have an undefeated season because of "just luck". Dethroning Bayern has been impossible for anyone else in recent history. I also think Real Madrid overreacted, sacking someone for losing the Supercashgrab de Saudi is insane. If at the end of this season they didn't win LaLiga or UCL then I would understand it, but this is honestly just too early to sack someone
He can still become a legendary manager. This is only because of the dictator Mobutu.
as a Barca fan, i still believe he can be legendary coach. After all, its the problem with the club not him. He a coach that's better at managing tactics, not players, hence the reason on why he was good with Leverkusen.
I think he’ll do great in the future. I think he went to the wrong club. There’s too much ego at Madrid to make his system work. I hope he finds a club that will appreciate and respect him
if youre managing real madrid, ofc the fans are gonna expect top notch plays every time
what do u expect
they js forget what u did for them on one bad game
He was so good it was probaly luck and he should come to man utd
its not a disaster lol he did fine
that's impossible to be luck, I just feel he couldn't handle the ego of some Madrid players
he absolutely still has what it takes to become a top, even legendary, manager. The Leverkusen job was not “just luck,” but Real Madrid is a uniquely brutal environment that has ended or damaged many great coaches.
Question 212
Which footballer do you think is the most overrated of all time, and why?

But he use his performance help Leicester win the Premier League
idk
This is a fucking shame for u
I can name 10 English strikers better than vardy
Are you alr?
Different kinds of overrated, but I'll name 2.
Pogba. Wonderfully gifted, insane levels of talent, but the reality is that since leaving Juventus 10 years ago he's had maybe 18 good months, but people still speak of him way too highly.
Carvajal. Fans that judge individuals by team trophies love him, rate him at the high end of right backs all time and reality is that he's just serviceable to good.
yeah
Yes there's,but you cannot just say Vardy's overrated
What about zlatan?
He is

@soft sparrow @uneven mirage @gloomy cave
Stop it. You answered the question, so just leave. Don't flood the chat with unnecesary bullshit
Ok
Okay
Kai Havertz
there are many but he is the first come that came to my mind
Vini or Saka, how people like to compare foden to saka is mad
More recent one, Victor Gyokeres or as I call him, Gyok Lesnar.
No one expected to underperform so much after his move to Arsenal
Casemiro. I've seen him being compared with all time greats like Busquets and Kante. He's nowhere near.
He's built his rep from the UCL 3 peat seasons but in 2016/17 he was so bad.
Should've been sent off in the league Clasico and the UCL 2nd leg against Bayern.
For me, it's Vini Jr.
Most of the streets will never forget players
Ozil & Kane 🤐
Ozil probably makes my overrated XI
Messi Neymar Lamine Yamal Pedri
Name all Barca & Argentina players atp brother
But i like di maria and rafinha
Dembele benzema and scholes
Benzema vini jr ramos
pele
Neymar
Had one good year In Barca and people glaze him till this day for it
Someone that retired a few days ago, Mamadou Sakho. Always kicked out of every club he was in, his times in the French NT weren't glorious and his name speaks louder than his skills.
As of now, Vini jr, I still remember when he promised to be 10x better after losing the Ballon d'Or! still hope he changes and becomes better, we need more brazil flair back!
But of all time, I honestly have to mario balloteli! He was the first player (correct me if I'm wrong) that got the Golden Boy award. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of hype around him, especially potential wise to become one of the best players in the world and win ballon d'Or's! However, it just became all bark but no bite due to his issues off the pitch and just didn't take his opportunities serious enough.
maybe in a different world, if he took his chances seriously.. he would have won one.. maybe could have been up there as one italys best talents of all time.
Well he is good but bro idk the crazy hype abt Pele sure hes good and all but this guy is kinda mid for today if u watch whatever clips are avaliable of him like he literally isn't a goat imo
Theo Walcott
Vini & Casemiro
vini jr at the moment whines about not starting but when he does he doesnt do anything
Maybe rn vini
vinicius bro
this is tough probably rodri or vini
