Please refrain from encouraging buying in this thread. Please don't shame each other, either! We're here support!

Tips:

  • Set a monthly budget and stick to it
  • Make a list of tamas / pets you really want to buy and stick to looking for just a few
  • Take a minute or two to appreciate what you have- whether it's one or one thousand, your collection is great!
  • Set a spending goal for something else you really want / need to discourage spending
  • Uninstall / don't visit sales apps and auction sites - No need to tempt yourself more!

and now i need an intervention cuz im tempted to get the uni cuz of the new updates.. someone talk me out of it please 😭 ... i already have a smart, an entama, an ON, and a Ps... the last three were bought in the last two months so i need to enjoy them more, but the uni is calling my name

I’m flip flopping between regret and excitement buying the witches 😓

I customized my paradise a little and used origami paper for the faceplate. I also found some nail stickers lying around but the only one that fit the vibe was this little planet. the only thing missing is a cute charm :3

i may have caved and bought myself a uni the other day T_T

it was EXTREMELY low priced at 40 dollars, had a screen protector and case, a custom faceplate, and pretty much almost every dlc added (its only missing 3 more!) ...

so it was either get that now at 40 or wait until im out of november and buy one for possibly more (+ buy / trade for the individual dlcs separately... and get my own case and screen protector...)

and with how ridiculous the uni prices are sometimes i dont think id wanna spend more than the SRP on it T_T .... so maybe its a smart purchase. Maybe. im coping i feel a lil bad but arghh

I might sound kinda sentimental but I feel comfortable enough talking about it here:

I think Ive reached the point where im comfortable with my collection, a lot of my tamas have sentimental value (whether it be because of travel or gifts from family)

And now whenever I get new ones I just feel sad :[ I dont get as attached and it makes me think "I could be putting this money towards getting xmas gifts for people"

Thankfully thats what im in the process of doing, I have two tamas that are going to new homes soon and the thought that they'll receive more love there makes me happy :]

Is there a way to turn off mercari notifications for tamagotchi discounted items w out having to completely unsubscribe from their email list? Did that make sense?

also when I have to kill time in another city I go to tkmaxx and window shop. I know that I don't need anything but sometimes the deco stuff there is so kitsch it's funny xD I have a whole collection of photos of ugly deco stuff I took there
