There's a table of 6 different weather types, and depending on the month, there are different probabilities for each type of weather

The exploit should be known enough to make Bandai search for ways to fix it, and I think that force your Paradise to get secretly patched via Tama Lab would look bad when Tama Lab pretends you to visit Bandai stores, plus the fact it's not even a solution if we take into account that many people don't even have access to Tama Lab

I think the only way to go would be fixing it for next stocks of the product once all the current available units are sold, but that's it. Our current Paradises should be fine

I've had something weird happen to me on the Paradise and I wanted to know if anyone else encountered the same problem.
As I've raised every single character and completed the Tamadex, I wanted to fill the Land field with BBmarutchi, which is actually the only character I haven't gotten yet.
I got a new egg yesterday morning and neglected Babymarutchi, making him change fields regularly. At one point he had all three fields icon in his cell (one or two of each.) I waited more and heard the evolution sound, only to find out that my Babymarutchi evolved into a Rocky young. How did it evolve from baby stage to teen? Has anyone encountered the same situation?

speaking of happiness, is there any documentation for how much happiness all the different shop code snacks give? also things that aren't snacks, playing, or favorite foods that give happiness? i know cleaning poop, cleaning tama, and traveling to other planets all give one each. is there anything else? i assume connection stuff can do that, but i dont have another device to connect with

3 of the shop code snacks give +10 according to the wiki.

The guidebook shows all shop code snacks to give +10 happiness, which is half of the entire bar.

As for other things that grant happiness, all of those do give +1 when performed, and connection stuff actually does not increase happiness at all.

For the first thing, btw, even tho all adults react like it's a favorite food, it doesn't increase how much happiness it adds. It's always +10 no matter the character

I'm doing an experiment to see if a tama can get injured while already injured.

I set the date on one of my devices to the 8th and had another one beat it up.

I'm gonna try to see if the meteor event will occur when the tama is injured.

Typically for devices since 2004 the last five digits of the code are the reverse of the last five digits of the date as they’d appear in the Japanese date format
So a date of XXXA-BC-DE would become EDBCA

Doesn’t exactly fit for that one though, I think they changed it at some point in the last few years

Incidentally maybe some day I should try looking into matching up manufacture dates with rom versions for the connection versions again, that’d probably be an interesting tool

just learned that your tama eats food faster when it's hungry. i didn't time them out to get exact numbers so i dunno if there are six speeds or just two or three, but there is a very obvious difference in speed between eating while at 0/6 and eating while at 5/6. and i only just now noticed this because i usually skip the animation, especially if my tama is really hungry since it has more food to get through

Cos the tamagotchi collab ticket is hard to get (screenshot says they've suspended sales due to high demand)

I'm hopeful because the website also says that the tamagotchi collaboration ticket refers only to goods (aka merch) and that you'd be able to access the same area of admission as a regular ticket

I just hope that there's not a weird person whose thought process is "ah this is a physical device, so it be lumped in with the goods/merch stuff"

Because I could be able to do that soon but I love my current character so much I don't want to get rid of it. Something interesting happened to me. I bred my tama and the egg hatched at 10:26 am, I put it on the water field and less than an hour later, at 11:07 am, it already had gotten all 4 water cells and it automatically evolved into the water kid without me having to zoom to cell level as usual. Has this been observed before? All I remember doing was keeping the happiness up, if that helps

correct, the package was assigned an ID and is in the process of being sent. i believe zenin prepares multiple shipments all at once and sends them out in batches

they will usually send a second email with a subject line like “Shipping update for your order #~” that lets you know when it is actually in transit

The names of the other 2 shells solidify my opinion that Jade Forest should had replace Land Field instead of Sky field. Unless their idea is making devices that focus more strongly on one type of environment rather than replacing them for a similar one

That said, if that's the idea, then I would see Tropical replacing Water Field and Frozen Ocean replacing Land, except that they won't get rid off Mametchi and Mimitchi, and if they want to reuse the Paradise mascot trio as they did with Horhotchi then Meowtchi makes more sense being in Tropical than in Frozen (Irukatchi would work in both)

But imo Tropical replacing Water and Frozen replacing Land would look better after Forest replaced Sky keeping it with two "Land" fields

Based on previous datamined tamas, the special condition (if achieved) is always prioritized first when it comes to evolution. Care mistakes just by themselves are the last prioritized

I will say it was a bit misleading cause it made me think it had something to do with the process you performed trying to get the character rather than an external factor like an app that simulates a connection, but it's all cool and no judgement on you using it or anything. But yeh that would def be important info and is likely the cause of the problem xD

I have no idea what it is or how it works tho so that's def something to bring up with the creator

But as far as we know for the official way of getting these secret characters, care misses aren't a factor and it's just connecting to two separate versions with the appropriate Young characters on the correlating field and version

I think I know now what seems missing from Paradise. None of my tamas seem to have individual personalities inherit to them.

It feels like I am taking care of a fishtank. Which is fun in some ways, but I like the idea of whatever I'm taking care of having a personality or individuality. Like with accessories, favorite toys, and personality animations on the uni.

I am designing tamas for fun and finding the breeding to be the only cool thing about it. Otherwise I look in on the aquarium and they're just interacting with the terrarium toys without any preference for them.

That’s my problem with the Paradise too. It’s cute but I don’t feel bonded to any of my tamas, they’re only memorable if they looked particularly cute/funny. I’m probably gonna stop playing or at least a break with this device once I achieve my goal of getting every character.

However, I love the QoL features they put in this one (putting your Tamas to bed early, sitter that lasts until bed time, extremely beefy battery life), so I hope they add those onto whatever tama they make next

I looked at it a little bit, and I'm not as good with python, but it looks like you connect with TCPComm which on success will run a callback, which is a method you write to execute to send chunked data to the paradise or something.

Ive had my paradise running for a little under a week and i think i realized why it feels different.

It's more like a video game in a v-pet shell

One aspect of this is that the Child and Teen stages are designed and named like intermediate stages and not bespoke characters

And the contend locked behind level progression and not just the growth stage of your tama

To be clear i actually really like the paradise. I never really enjoyed v-pet games because i prefer my pets when they are trinkets that love on my desk

The one thing I don't like that much is that you have to zoom all the way down to check your tama's status.

They unlock later on, if you click them it should say when. Base is lv6, Jade it's a bit earlier but I don't remember right now

I love all of these! They're balanced enough so that it's not incredibly easy to just manipulate it exactly how you want, but not supremely hard and leaves users going "oh well" like I end up doing a lot on the Paradise when I make a mistake

the idea behind the gummy specifically is that it is very very unlikely that you would be able to get 3 of them within the 48 hours it takes for a baby tama to grow into an adult

meaning that you would have to get enough over several generations.

The concept alone sounds a bit complex to be able to program fully on a Tama, but I'd imagine you could easily mod workarounds for just getting special characters the usual way (faking two connections or whatnot)

But that idea is still really cute and I'd have loved if Bandai did something like that instead of just making it connection-exclusive like they always do :(
