well I just mean that they don’t seem to have ever really done this in the past. We saw basically the entirety of the Connection before it was out and people were making 30min+ videos of the Uni weeks before it released

I know embargoes on some features of a new game are a fairly standard practice but I don’t think we’re talking about videos only being 30 seconds long here

So I agree don’t get your hopes up but Bandai really don’t seem to be strict on this sort of thing and that can be seen in the last few releases they did

On one hand, I do feel kinda bad for Tara and all of the marketing/representative team at Bandai; when you listen to an entire fandom's complaints, you hear everything and it seems like as a collective we are unhappy, as well as having the effect of drowning out the more important and realistic issues we have like battery life for the RV3 and the future of the Uni and its preservation...but on the other hand, it is their job to maintain and keep up with demand. Though that's tough when the world moves so fast nowadays. Like, it simultaneously feels like "wow, it's been an entire year since RV3s were released..." but also "...it's only been a year?!"

It's just a very layered situation that you have to factor so many things into: recognizing our niche fandom while seeing how much it's growing, trying to take into account the different areas of social media where a lot of people just spam a single sentence as a response to a post that may not even be related to what they're screaming about, not overwhelming your audience with too many things, not underwhelming them with things that don't click or have issues to them (Uni's ever growing accessory limit problem, LOL), marketing with new items and updates and games and toys and merch and...

My point is, there's a lot to juggle, so...I at least try to see the human side of things and imagine how stressful it can be there for everyone. :<

If higher-ups don't want to make new versions of the Angels for any reason, be it production cost or whatever, the customer service representatives have to do their job and respond to that with the response they were given which is it's "intentional"

But that's what I meant before about the important things getting drowned out, it sucks they market a lot of stuff through Twitter or Instagram cause there's just floods of comments of people going "where's V4 remakes?? But yeah idk, my personal gripe is that they don't want to do simple version revisions. It can't be that costly to make a new version to fix big issues like the age thing on the Angels

But with how many units are always being shipped out, I can see where that could be a mess trying to push the newer version ones while the old ones are still on the shelves; like yes, they could simply push out a new version with new shells in a new wave, but what about the previous shells? Are they still producing them? Do they make those ones with the new version, too? What happens when Amazon has tons of the old ones and someone tries to buy that shell, and they get the older version rather than the new one? How does one differentiate?

I'm not saying I know anything about production or marketing, which is why I'm asking all these hypotheticals. We really don't know how it works from a production standpoint :<

during the connection / plus era, each relese was only the New release that the promoted for a year
for example, the keitai released Nov 2004 and the entama relesed Nov 2005 (with the akai releasing the summer in between)

but they want to keep releasing oritamas and rv3s for years, just releasing new shells
and these are aimed at an older audience that will be more aware of these things?? so if the fans know that they'll release an improved revision along a new line of shells they might begin actively avoiding the older designs just in case

It's mostly info we know or could infer as both devices are very different but he notes that the Paradise's screen seems to be higher quality than the Uni's. Most of its time is spent zooming and it's its main mechanic whereas the Uni is mostly looking at the main screen/using items (didn't understand that one very well).

Lots of games, more than the Uni, with some that earns you money. He also explains that both devices have set goals: the badges for the Uni and leveling up the Planet by completing certain goals for the Paradise!

Screen/Visuals spoiler I noticed: ||The Paradise's screen shows the date and hour before you zoom back in after it went into sleep mode. It makes use of the space (haha) around the planet! A neat feature in my opinion, even though it doesn't have the same portability as the Uni. Kinda wish they'd find a way to add something similar to the Uni since it's supposed to be a watch lol. Bandai please let us see the time for more than 15 seconds!||

He did go over the games and mechanics of both from what I understood. It's a nice comparison that doesn't get into much detail so it has little to no spoilers. Like the Tamaverse, Wifi, and DLCs along with how they connect to other devices

I never look at packaging for info. Its always bs. They probably counted the same thing multiple times as seperate activities. Like meal, snack, minigame 1, minigame 2, shopping for food, shopping for toys, ect.

Also I love when you buy a video game and on the box it says something like "100+ monsters!" Then you find out its exactly 100 or its 101. That's it

If you're not someone who really really loves Tamagotchi to an unhealthy degree sometimes and doesn't find much value in just having conversations with Tamas or doing the shops that can be a bit repetitive, I would recommend waiting till the game goes on sale or something since it's pretty expensive for what it is.

That's not to say the game isn't fun or doesn't have content, it's got plenty to do! But if you are someone who rushes through, it probably will be a pretty short game

because my first V2 was an imported US model it came with a shop code, which the European V2’s instructions never mentioned for some reason. I also ended up finding the Honey code for myself by just typing in lots of random codes, so whenever people brought their V2s into school I’d show off by giving them a bunch of new items haha

I think I started getting perfect care characters after I read an inaccurate website about how to get them on the vintage versions 😂 it said something like “never let your happy or hungry hearts go below 3” and I took that to heart

Yep! It's a small device where you can enter codes that allows you to connect like you do with another device but you can enter any codes so it's like connecting with any devices. If they do that with Paradise, with one D-COM you could have all devices at once ^^
