I’m not really a fan of how they did the kids/teens this time, it’s an interesting mechanic but they’re just too plain and similar to the baby stage

I think the big change is the transition speed between screens
On the Smart and Uni there’s a painfully long fade out/in between screens, it looks a lot quicker now while still having a fluid transition

Off topic but it's funny how this feels like a "best of" device that tries to encompass a lot of different, older features. It's like paying homage to the franchise's legacy in some way. I can see why they didn't keep pushing the Uni until the 30th anniversary for a special edition, the Paradise feels more logical for fans. However, that makes me wonder why they released it this year and what they have in store for the anniversary? My guess is one last Uni thing (because it's easy, a sort of DLC or an event would be doable plus the Paradise DLC will keep it alive for a little longer) and either something for the Paradise or a new shell. its either "last food eaten", which is functionally not that useful and just a cute detail, or it could be a hint on what food is the one that determines the evolution. or most food eaten. like in the p's deco pierces for some adults u gotta eat a certain food 3x for the evolution. this could be a way of checking that process? or in the uni it was just "evolves into x if the most food u eat is y" and thats how u check if ur on the right path. tho im probably interpreting too much into it :)

it seems like the cell food maybe tells you what type of food you recently ate that will contribute to evolution. since the tama ate a cake (?) in a previous video, it's shown up as a rice ball here. Maybe when all the bubbles are a specific food, they'll evolve?

The rice ball might indicate food they ate that doesn't influence evolution and the other 3 food icons are specific foods that influence evolution (like the chicken)

I think the cloud, bubbles and sun refer to the field the tama's raised in. The evolution isn't solely dependent on the food they eat. Maybe if you start in water field and switch to the sky field you will havd both clouds and bubbles surrounding your tamas cell and depending on where you stay the longest, you get more field icons for that one
