I think waiting until November to properly reveal something that they’ve already shown off would be an odd choice and quite unlike how they usually do reveals tbh

typically they start with a tease and only a few weeks later they do a full reveal with a 1-2 month lead on the release

August was probably a placeholder date but I do believe it’ll align with the actual release date too

It can be hard to tell what product descriptions actually mean in practice.

I saw some old conversations for when the Pix was releasing and when it talked about being able to take pictures of food to feed your tamas people thought it was crazy because the way they interpreted it was like, you could take a picture of an irl pizza and then your tama would eat that pizza
But it practice we know all it does is (badly) detect colors to make some random food on the device

What irks me here is that it's down to earth. There's no outrageous statement apart from the number of characters but that could mean anything (my guess is color palette changes or minor differences) (+gene mixing had a higher number of characters available!)

Even the activities could be a reasonable minimum (something that triggers an animation or requires some input)

On paper, they seem to have a good concept and Tama but it's Bandai

I mean tbf this was discussed and kind of agreed with way earlier in the server. And frankly I still agree even if certain designs have grown on me. Paradise feels like, design-wise, its the embodiment of what average people with no real basic knowledge of Tamagotchi think of when they think of Tamagotchi, with P1 looking characters mixed in which while extremely nice, dont help much. Tamagotchi is at its best imo when it has its unique feel with designs that form a range and not lean too far into a specific type of "cuteness", like the connection era. You had Sanrio lookalikes, weird out there ones, ugly ones etc etc but it all still felt unique and diverse, until the poodle era after Lovelitchi.

Sinplicity is nice but I feel people kind of confuse genericism with simplicity/minimalism and thats how we get designs like Paradise tbh. I don't think they look terrible or anything but they do feel less Tamagotchi and more generic cutesy-vpet you see at a dollar tree. Idk thats my hot sauce on it

I don't know if this has been talked about yet, but do we know/think that the new paradieses characters will be gendered?

To me they look pretty gender neutral for the most part and we only saw one baby, not 2 different ones for each gender like on previous color devices

The crazy person in me would say to make a Plaza/Corner Shop DLC with iconic characters, accessories straight from the games, a new minigame close to one of the games', and just nostalgia-bait as much as possible while glazing Plaza. Meanwhile Plaza would have unlockables only available if you own the Uni and stuff to transfer over. Maybe even transferring money so you can choose to grind there rather than the fast food minigame. The crazier person would say to have games linked between the two so you'd want them both.

The even more crazy person would have pitched a Future vs Nature add-ons depending on whether it's the Uni or the Paradise being linked so you'd want the three. Like, even changing the game's aesthetic could tempt a kid. Or a shop that could be opened through a code.

Now, I know that's too big but Bandai tends to dream too small. In this world, you need to offer a lot and go all in whenever you can. The concurrence is too fast to hype your brand new game, a decade after the last one, based on a dying device and a few accessories

As Shroom said, it'll release everywhere at the same time. Other official accounts have specified the time in JST. If some leave it out, it's probably a marketing choice to keep it vague

I'm using Nomad Sculpt on an iPad, but I sometimes pull a sculpt into Blender for more complex rendering or more refined work for 3d printing. I mainly just make little guys on nomad tho as it's pretty quick and intuitive
