it's so tempting to collect/complete a set, and even hoard. i would avoid buying unless you're definitely going to play with it, or know someone who would enjoy it as a gift

That’s exactly it!! It’s tempting, but I’ve got one of each connection (v1, v2, v3, and now v4.5), and I think the v4 is almost identical to the v4.5 in terms of gameplay… so i definitely don’t need it

i... kind of failed? yesterday i spent a lot of money on something, but my plan is to resell things at the amount i paid ~~but i do want to keep one of them ~~

on the other hand, i've started going through all my stuff in storage at my mom's house and plan to get rid of lots of it! so i'm excited for that

Ok im ready to join. I already got everything i had planned to get this month and even way more. I got quite few tama on my way and now i really Need to put a stop to it 🫠only exception Will be if i find an occasion for my ISO post, but thats it. Temptation are everywhere, browsing mercari and eBay have substituted social media scrolling for me ill try to block everything too💪

my plan this month is to just stop looking at proxy sites completely. casually browsing worked for sept/oct but then it backfired after i made an ISO lol

That is true! I really like the shell, and I could actually pay the price, but I already own a v3 and I don’t see the point of owning multiple of one version

there are minor advantages (you can exchange specific gifts and maybe play a unique game via connecting), but you'd have to consider whether that's worth $40

So I imagine myself in this place and it’s not very easy to just get up and sell just anything in your collection

Speaking from my own experience I am sitting with some tamas I’m considering to sell but getting to it is a bit of a struggle, only because I’m trying to figure out why exactly am I selling them when they are a great part of my collection

I know the very goal is to be a no buy and encourage no buying! Definitely for that completely

i normally don't advocate for buying if you post in this thread, but i think you'd be safe to get it because most importantly you can afford it, but you also like the shell a lot, and you could easily sell it if you change your mind

I think it’s important to do just that yknow, derail each other from the temptations of buying! especially when people are literally in this forum to save on money

indeed, on the whole i still never advocate for any impulse buys, and certainly never for overspending or buying out of fomo etc

for sure though, stopping oneself from browsing is really the key. but finding a replacement behavior can be challenging

I've got one uni and my plan is to at least get one of every species in it before I start thinking of another,a good tip I found on YouTube is to rotate 2 or 3 pets because it gives you time to "forget" how that pet was and makes it seem more new,at least works for me but maybe because I'm forgetful

You can use a cheaper/slower shipping option! I'm thinking of using airmail for my next one, so it still has tracking, its just not quite as speedy
But this is no-buy so I say maybe wait until you have a lil order you want to put together

Have managed to resist buying a v5 and a music star! They are very cheap and in mostly good condition (the v5 is missing the battery cover though), but I don’t want to spend money on shells I don’t really like. Plus I intend to save that money for a blue uni!

I thought I was going to be sucessful this month haha, but I ended up opening another proxy order... but very excitingly I added a doraemontchi!! a dreamie of mine for a very long time so I don't really feel bad, and doraemon is basically my childhood, and it was a must in my collection! also been buying gifts as well has been expensive hopefully we can get through!!

try not to obsess over it...v6s are some of the most overpriced vpets out there. i can assure you they aren't worth the insane prices they tend to sell for. keep an eye on local marketplaces and such, but otherwise try to shift your focus to something less expensive
