Yes! Kinda grateful that the modern tamas are a bit easier too with the sitter function and everything

My biggest complaint is the price 💀 I kinda hate that the price makes it less assessable to a younger audience

I grew up with connections and even though they were expensive they weren’t so costly that my parents would refuse to buy one

I was able to save up babysitting money to easily get one

Idk if kids now could or would want to do that especially since they could get so much more for the ~$60

Yeah there aren’t many spaces that are meant just for kids anymore

• cause an attention call by having either hunger or happiness go empty (hunger is easier)
• wait 15 minutes until the attention call stops
  you now have a care miss. you can recover the stat (eg eat one meal) then let it deplete again to repeat the process

Try setting the date to 11:59pm the day before the current date. Wait a minute then change the time to normal. Usually when it hits midnight is when events like this activate.

This was required for events like the Eco triplets on older versions too. Just changing the date doesn't activate the day specific events

I'm disappointed
the face massager doesn't seems to have an idle animation for the pro level... she just stopped playing with it all together, but I still have the hearts when I use the toy

I'm surprisingly enjoying the item idle animations tbh

I think that in previous color models there was no point in using an item after you'd used it once since it would always have the same animations

maaaybe it would have two - a non-favorite and a favorite animation

but here items are still useful because you can leave them in the room and Tamas can use them while idling

I think it's a pretty neat way to make them more useful and to make the Tama feel more alive

I'm also appreciating how snacks are actually useful this generation

In many previous color models snacks did basically nothing and only would increase the happy meter by like 2% or something

But here they actually increase it by a significant amount and are useful

Tama fashion is probably limited to accessories you can buy at the tama mall (any region) + accessories you can craft

The main purpose being for people to share/buy items that other players wouldn't necessarily have access to, but not to create a workaround for passwords

I noticed something odd with the Tama verse npcs from my Uni

All of the npcs appear to be from tama Japan since I can tell from the Japanese symbols

No, unfortunately I’ve only seen mall items, crafted items and region specific items. I do see the occasional tama that shows up by my tama mannequin (I believe it is showing you tamas who have purchased your outfit) and those outfits haven’t had any limited code items. But someone purchased the glasses outfit! So you can share unlimited code items.

The trick is to be hyper focused on them as babies. They poop like every 10 minutes. You'll want to be committed to staring at the Tamagotchi for the hour that it's a baby, just keep pressing C over and over to keep the screen awake... and maybe set an alarm to go off 8-10 minutes after each poop?

I know we knew care mistakes are cumulative but so are the other requirements. My second Shima also came from only one diy as a child. traditionally it would reset, but they don't show you the generation count anymore

so hard to say if it's still counted internally or not

Heal sickness. Normally I fill up one bar, but once both stats were empty as an adult I left them that way. Grim gotchi happened after a couple care misses while all were empty (I don’t know if that’s the precise condition or not)

I noticed with tama walk that I can max out the bar just by shaking it only once the animation has stopped

so eg once every 30-60s rather than continuously for the whole 20 minutes

yeah! I believe it's like an "activity meter". Filling it up gets you the most crafting materials. IIRC it does take 15~20 minutes of "walking" (shaking once each time they enter standstill animation) to fill up the bar completely, so it does roughly match up with the progress timer if you're staying active

These days they use accelerometers instead of pedometers, so they don't need that little metal tapping anymore

also allows for features like lifting the tama up to jump in the racing game
