#People can be invincible by remaining permanently online

yeah i thought abiut doinng that
but..
this game is very cpu intensive
even just looking at ur ship will make ur phone run hot or ur pc to start spinning its fans harder
unless u got like a virtual client to run it on but then the game become less of a game and more of a competitive science project
imagine getting a new phone, plugging it into a charger outlet..leaving it running pss2 for a few days straight.
its battery wont last for 5 seconds without a charge after that
@real portal This one too. This is a meaningful one - and one I’d love your work on whether it’s considered an exploit, and, if it is, what the policy for online time is.
And for context, MissileMike, the winner of the February legendary season, did this for most of the month
(I don’t think it’s an exploit, but given conversations in main channel, would love an official word about it)
I will add - this issue is compounded by the bug with defenses, where your crew equipment doesn't "count" on defenses, making your ship SIGNIFICANTLY weaker, and further privileging attacking
You raise a good point which I'll bring up with management.
Can I get some more details about what you mean by crew equipment not helping rooms? Crew equipment is not supposed to increase room defenses. Only the crew's resistance to certain attacks.
rn ..in defenses... our ninjas start off with 5 hp and our evasion isnt as high as it is when we attack people - mechan thinks its to do with our equipment not being added into the stat calculations
like our crew are there naked when its time to defend
a non-invasive solution is to implement a timer on accounts that allow players to play at least for 20 hours a day maximum - and resets on the next game day.
this way a defence is gauranteed to have to happen.
i can confirm what mechan sayed, i just check replayes my boarders HP is lower when its on defense.
Take engineering. It boosts engines. A pawn with 6 base an 4 from equipment (total 10) should boost engines by 20% (2x10). On attack, this works correctly - the boost is 20%. On defense, the equipment bonus is not accounted for, the boost is only 12%.
Similar issue with personal stats for pawns. A pawn with a base 9hp wearing heavy armor (+3hp) should have 12hp. It’ll have 12hp on attack, but only 9hp on defense.
In the late game, when ships are stacked with pawns with Tier3 equipment, the difference in performance of the same ship on attack vs defense is, as a result, massive.
Especially since crew training applies not just to base stats, but base PLUS equipment stats.
Bottom line …. Attackers have a HUGE advantage, especially in the late game when high-tier equipment is prevalent.
