I’ve got one now where 2 purple and one blue beacon r in my storage but everytime I try to equip them I get “an error occurred”
take them out, do another fight and then you can put them back in, so PVE fight is suggested

I was able to remove my broken module after doing a force restart
Sorry if this has already been answered. I'm returning after a long hiatus and I'm encountering a broken module at start of battle bug. I can see others have also had this problem over the last 2 months. Is there a fix or workaround? I've tried to remove and replace and restart but no luck
I am unable to place certain modules. Also, one small beacon has disappeared.

I am using an Android phone, Nokia 3.4
If they cant track down and fix this bug they need to just make modules not break/be destructible in the first place... seriously this thread was started over a year ago.
And them being able to be destroyed just is not a necessary component to the game.
modules bug has been an issue since 2020 and has also appeared in PSS2 🙁 it's apparently a pretty tough one to squash.
Also to clarify: It is necessary for them to be destroyed on a per-battle basis ( like hp modules) but it is not needed at all for repairing them outside of battle to be a thing.
So any updates on if they are finally going to fix this? I keep getting the glitch at least twice a week now
Clearing our runway so we can get work back on this again soon

I know this issue is old, but after being destroyed, 2 of my concrete barriers gave an error on a repair attempt, then after I removed them to the inventory they didn't show up in UI. I restarted the game but they didn't come back. I would appreciate having my modules back if possible. version: v0.999.45.15545 running on Steam Windows 10

I removed mine doing something like that 3 times... I tried change the module to another room, remove the room, fix manually..
fix manually, them restart, them remove... and some variations of this. them worked (in some point)...
Like, make the modules only break during battle and require no repair after the battle?!
they should start by making them not take damage from battle to battle until they fully fix it
something as major as this, but likely keeping the minerals sink (though negligible as it is) for design approval
Fixing it so it works correctly would be 100% acceptable, but this bug thread is over a year old and effects everyone of us on a weekly basis. Just remove the repair feature until you know how to fix it. As it is currently it is extremely annoying to your players and brings no benefit really, the costs are negligible as you said.
While you're at it do the same thing to the reload queues, they don't work correctly.
A static after battle tax would be fine.
Added benefit: less stress on the server I would imagine not having to count each thing individually as it rearms or repairs?
Also semi related: make the planetary rewards in fleet wars just reset every day at daily reset instead of tracking each reward timer individually for each player. So much bloat in tracking timers on a per person basis, not to mention also annoying for the players.
What if it just auto repaired them after battles, taking the minerals and if you do not have enough it can go to the button so once you do have enough you can repair it
Because realistically at a higher level you never don’t have enough mins to repair them however if a certain few beacons of mine at the start of the battle are broken all of my ai breaks and it essentially guarantees a loss on my end

Cant just make it a research or something? Instead of pressing the refuel/repair all button it does it automatically but just for modules? Make it like Ammo Recycling?
Can we pre-pay all the minerals to fix this?

Can we just have a 20% minerals tax on attacks and get rid of this mechanic? A 20% mineral tax will sink way more mins then this and we no longer have to deal with this bug that exist for years

I have lost two concrete barriers over the last couple of days. It starts when there is one module in need of repair every time you log in. To fix this issue in the past I have just removed the module from the room and then placed it back and the issue is resolved.
Only now when I have removed these modules they disappear completely. As mentioned im on two lost concrete barriers so far because of this bug.
losing these shouldnt be possible unless they were duplicated via the previous bug

Idk if this will help, but I noticed a pattern where module bugs happen significantly more often around LLPVP battles.
I’m not sure why or how. I just know the first one I kinda second guessed myself. But the second one I dragged the broken module out of the room and it never appeared in inventory. 🤷🏻♂️. I’ll be way more cautious in the future that’s for sure. It takes too long to make barriers to just be flippantly losing them.
Normally there would already be a fixed module in your inventory. The broken one on your ship would be a non functional duplicate. Could that have been the case here?
No. I had inventory open at the time watching. There was zero good barriers available. I dragged the busted one out of a pla laser room and it didn’t appear in inventory either as repaired or in need of repair. Simply vanished. I had done the same the day before and kinda second guessed myself that’s why I had inventory open the second time.
I Havnt had this repair bug for ages until I changed hulls recently and it started happening again. I’ve never had them just disappear before until this time.
It wouldnt appear at that point. It could be, that you put the good barrier somewhere else. And when you removed the duplicate, the real one was in another room already.
Alternatively its just bugged and you hopefully will get it back
It’s definitely hard to prove. I’ll wait for a response and go from there I guess. Reading back there are people who have had the same issue so hopefully im not going crazy and it gets resolved.
I had the same issue with barriers and mines. Just lost them and Savy never sent them back to me
That is why I don't change room modules on my ship. Getting them takes too long and losing them is too easy
A week ago I made a new ship layout and then I loaded my old one. Upon loading I had missing modules that were not on the ship or in the inventory. It was the same hull 11 ship for both layouts

As you can see, some modules are already broken at start like beacons and Plant boxes
but they were fully repaired before fight
then re applying
You wanna know what's funny. I have done that. Then it moves to a different room where the bugs occur. I've swapped them out for similar ones and then it'll effect a different room.
yeah i've been having the issue too
Like i've just done a battle and I'm certain this little beacon has been used
so i remove it and it gives me this
reloads the game
then lets me repair everything
we are brother's in bugs 
no bugs means no fun
we haven't pumped savy with enough cash to make the bugs go away. quick get out your wallets.

Ese problema ainda existe mano,porém dá para resolver simplesmente tirando os módulos defeituoso da tua nave e deixando eles no teu inventário,logo tu reinicias o jogo(só sair e voltar a entrar)e o bug já debería estar resolvido,e só colocar os módulos de volta na suas salas respectivas.
(translation to English: This problem still exists, man, but it can be solved simply by removing the defective modules from your ship and placing them in your inventory. Then, restart the game (just exit and log back in), and the bug should be fixed. Just put the modules back in their respective rooms.)

I tried that and it sent my sandbags to the void.
My solution to this is to move unused modules to rooms like bedrooms
That way I can swap my modules around without them being lost
Still experiencing consistent destroyed recall beacons and 4+HP Barriers before start. Shows on both attacks on defenses.

repaired, reset game, re open the game, this been going on for days, this lowkey gamebreaking when my opp has all their modules up
you have to remove the module and re place

I just had 40000 minerals worth of modules perma break on my ship. I removed them, removed the rooms and they still appear as full health in my inventory, but when I try to put the modules back on my ship my game crashes.

I had this too. I had to remove the room the modules were in.
Some amount of restarting eventually led to the modules being usable again.
This bug is a big enough issue that they just need to remove the concept of them needing to be repaired
The idea that they might lose some money or something bc we don't have to repair modules is ludicrous
Not having to repair all modules between defensive battles would be appreciated anyway, to be honest.

is there a bug where if you try to move a module around it crashes the game? apparently the module isnt fixed on the server but it looks fixed on my client

@hybrid frost I can confirm the issue, after doing a battle it shows everything is repaired (when it isnt) then if you go to move (or pick up) the module it says "an error has occured" and it restarts your game

I can't necessarily try to do it, it occurs randomly after an attack
but i'll do attacks to try trigger it

Yeah the issue is it only does that crash/restart issue when the post attack bug is happening
But I will try trigger it and let you know what happens
so in the next update, when users rearm / repair modules, it should fix this issue.

Going to log this, I had 2 beacons that appeared fixed on my ship, but would start fights broken. When I tried to remove them I got an error and rebooted. I removed the room and replaced it that they were in and placed beacons again. Haven't had an issue yet, but I never had broken modules in my inventory. Again, every match they started broken but looked healthy otherwise
Why don’t we just make a bot that resets the modules via a discord command
Maybe the Vikings already have that... Who knows, maybe we already do…

that is very weird... I dont know if I lost these 3 bricks or if these was a desync because I open the ship now and the broken bricks dissapeared
ops.. in the first image I had 41 bricks and now only 38 ...
I can check it for you. Client had a bug before regarding this one. So you have more number of modules placed inside rooms.

Then recieved error occured and crashed
I did miss the error occurred photo though because I clicked it too fast
Do you experience any further issue after that?
Game restarted, all modules that were broken were then fixed once i re armed them
But from the first photo nothing looks wrong and I can go into a battle with broken modules that look functional which is my main issue with that bug

When I remove a module I am certain is broken however doesnt look broken or show it is broken, thats the order of events

Shows i have nothing broken (despite me absolutley having something broken)
so I remove something i know it broken however is not displaying it being broken, so it restarts the game then shows me the re-arm button and broken modules

Happened 4 times that day but probably not, I just be the one reporting it x)

I’ve noticed it basically happens only in LLPVP for me, if it ever does happen.

in order for the modules to bug out, they need to break. thats why beacons that get used up are the most common ones. thats why sprinklers don't get bugged, etc
yeah, and I have 1 single use beacon I use every single game that i know is broken after a game

Anyways I had the problem with 2 beacons again and fixed it myself but not knowing that during tourney or something is just annoying
Happy to report work is being finalized on an entirely new system for how this data is stored and accessed by the game
