i went to my sounds settings and disabled everything but what im usuing

Destiny 2 is a older game. So if you are on PC and having issues with in game chat then go into windows sound settings and make sure what ever device you are using for audio and communication is set to default devices. Then open destiny 2.

99% of the time it's because default com isn't set.
Destiny 2 uses default com instead of default input.

Go to sound settings, set a different device as default, then set desired device as default comms, THEN default device.
I can walk you through it on chat if that helps (share screen, etc)

This has fixed it for everyone I've ever taken these steps with (for all of yall others having similar issues)
Only issue is when I update my drivers sometimes it reverts but the same steps will resolve it
