what should i have done prior to trying to raid

im playing hunter and i dunno what i should have for like dps n stuff and what subclass/exotics to use/get

A good prismatic hunter build, 200 weapons 150 super (achievable with powerhouse armor) for damage, truth, and refurbished a499/ alternately Queenbreaker, and weapons like trinity ghoul or similar for ad clear encounters

As for exotic armor it'll depend on your build but usually celestial nighthawk for damage

with that you can easily clear all raids except for like a couple niche scenarios but realistically you'll be fine

levi mobius quiver setup is also pretty potent and if you have a volatile rounds setup with a void primary and like mint in the first slot you have a good allrounder build

1000 voices, the exotic weapon from the Last Wish raid. Very powerful right now.

As for builds, i recommend checking online for builds thst match your preferred element on hunter. There are very good void and solar hunter builds that excell in endgame content!

I personally find void hunter + leviathans breath or solar hunter + shards if galanor to be great , and practical in amlt of raids / dungeons

truth catty is 40% damage buff that you can charge and then store for dps phase

Frankly?
It doesn't really matter for plenty of raids, especially D1 ones, since anything melts them, really.
Plus, you do have 5 other people to help you out.

I would just raid them normally, on your preferred loadout, maybe with some adjustments for specific bosses, until you can get better gear for more difficult bosses.
