im doing the vanguard ops playlist and im not getting strange coins, isnt that the fastest way to get them? i was getting some for the first 2 i did but im not getting anymore and i only have 46 coins (not a max stack)

Since edge of fate, portal drops strange coin
Play anything from portal ops - solo ops, fireteam, pinnacle or arena and you'll get strange coins, not sure about crucible as I don't play that but ideally that should as well
Don't forget to get the upgrade from Xur which doubles strange coin drops for a week or so

ive done all that, as i stated in the message, and im still not getting strange coins at the end of each strike from within the fireteam ops playlist
hence the follow up question i had asked about a potential bug, if anyone was aware of that being a bug

Anything from portal drops strange coin, haven't heard of any bug when coins don't drop at all. Anything from director -> vanguard ops/crucible/gambit/legends no longer drops strange coins like it did till final shape. 200 is the max strange coins you can hold

as i said before im not doing it through the director. ive been doing it through the portal and as i also previously stated i dont have a max stack. im not a dumbass this isnt user error. the game just isnt giving me ANY strange coins

only ideas i would have is try running higher difficulty stuff with b+ rating (thats usually a drop cutoff idk if its for strange coins too) and see if they drop as a thing on the floor and maby you missed them?
ive been consistently dropping them at the end of ultimate stuff, so atleast my game isnt bugged, so its not a very general thing if it is bugged for you
