Need help with hunter

Hey I'm a fairly new player I have around 70 hours, I started playing like a year or 2 ago but I just picked the game back up this week, pretty sure I have all expansions except the new renegades one, I've been playing hunter all the time I'm enjoying strand but I wanna be as efficient as possible

so I would really love it if someone pointed me in the right direction like what subclass should I pick and what weapons/upgrades would help me. I really only enjoy PVE content I don't really like anything PVP, thank you so much.

since you're enjoying strand, i totally recommend star-eaters scales (exotic boots). basically the more orbs of power you pick up WHILE YOU HAVE YOUR SUPER overcharges it, and this stacks with the super stat. if i remember correctly 140 super plus 6x of star eaters will be around 2.9k per swing

basically you get big whip damage

ITS FUN

if you want something more survivable, gifted conviction (from TFS campaign) is awesome for Arc

the idea is every powered melee and every dodge (ascension) will jolt and do phat dmg

hopefully those shots in the dark can get you started on something

I mean, tbf I haven't tried all the subclasses so idk what I'll enjoy most for example I haven't even gotten to finish the prismatic questline yet so I've been on strand for a while.

I don't mind swapping to something else if it'll be stronger/better for raids and dungeons because I really wanna be able to do high level pve content in the future

Solar - not great rn, can only see someone using this is pvp | Arc - FUN and GOOD | Void - bipolar asf, really a pvp subclass unless ur doing a crossbow rotation which you should stay away from for a while | Stasis - I genuinley only see people using this class for movement (and im one of them)

Strand - I see this class as the middle ground, its good at most, your only builds are super nuking or suspending everything | Prismatic - press one button and everything dies (sorta grindy to use this class's full potential

im a little strand biased but it's at most just good

okok, a few pris builds I like: gunpowders gample pocket nuke | dodge melee spam | Still hunt super spam (great easy boss dps) | lucky raspberry stun EVERYTHING
