How do I unlock the catalyst? Do I have to pay 600 silver at the seasonal archive to get it?

Any chance you've reached rank 90 in current season pass? I got 3rd iteration catalyst when I unlocked new malpais catalyst from previous season pass

Can't say for certain but it worked in ash and iron and may work even now

got it, I'm currently 70 so still working towards it

So far, Bungie has added a way to get catalyst for every exotic once the year ends without having to spend silver

Just got 90, did not get new malpais or third iteration catalyst

well I was mainly wondering if there was a way outside of silver to get teh catalyst since I didn't play for the 2 parts of edge of fate

Till now, Bungie has added every exotic no more obtainable to exotic kiosk with some way to get the catalyst once the year ended (random world drop or quest mostly). Will have to wait for July though

This may have changed though. Pretty sure I could claim episode echoes and renegades season pass exotics from kiosk during heresy
