Do I need edge of fate to level up?

above 400 you only level through prime engram drops, which have a low chance to drop when you complete a portal activity (with rank a), quite the slow grind, but no need for edge of fate

then how are streamers farming caldera over and over and leveling up? all of my gear is exactly 400 and I keep adding modifiers to hit rank A but I still only get 400 power drops

oh is there a number of times i should complete runs to get a 401 power drop is it rng?

at the beginning, the numbers going around were 5% drop chance with a pity drop after 20 runs, though there might be more up to date numbers right now

np, if you still have unfinished solstice quests, the armor pieces that you "buy" from eva are +power even above 400
