#Driver crashes all the time after Win 11 upgrade (especially at Prophecy Boss)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Fast forward 6 Months I started playing the game again and faced the same Issues again but after a quick graphics driver update (adrenaline 24.20.19.05) it worked just fine as well as every other game.
Fast forward 6 months (about two weeks ago) again I updated my OS to Windows 11 and faced driver crashes yet again. Since then I tried EVERYTHING
including multiple different driver versions for my graphics card and my chipset, underclocking and undervolting every single part of my system in different configurations, using another PSU and pulling Ram sticks.
Basically everything that worked for others complaining about similar issues across multiple forums. Anyone got another idea on what to do?

Do you get an error code or does it brick your pc?
The surprise fix I had was to disable all overlays from discord, Nvidia and steam. I had Broccoli errors, which is usually a driver issue.
Another thing that helps is when I have an error that causes crashes is to delete the temp folder for destiny 2.
sometimes i get broccoli but not always
did that twice
i reinstalled the game once
and I never hat overlays active
the only thing I can think of is reinstalling windows but since it basically is a new install I don't see a reason for that to work
Do you get any other error codes when you crash? Or just sometimes broccoli and nothing else?
sometimes broccoli, sometimes just a black screen and I have to restart
Can try CMD(Admin): sfc /scannow to check for any integrity violations or forcing d2 to run using dx11.
I was getting hard crashes only in destiny because my motherboard software was having a kernel level error which would cause battle eye to sometimes plum or just fully brick my pc.
At this point there's no harm in trying any of the two options above. I was lucky enough that every time my game dies or I get constant errors. I still find a random fix.
I just disabled multiplane overlay in the registry and it seems to be working fine for now.
