I’d have to look at ageis’ spreadsheet but most bosses have between like 5 million and 25 million health so take 1/3 or 1/6 of those values I guess. But I don’t think you can give an exact answer because it’s so dependent on what boss you are doing and what stuff you are running.

A well warlock running tractor cannon has no chance of doing the same damage of a thunder crash queen breaker titan.

dps is just the better way of tracking and comparing weapns for damage because each boss has different crit pmultipliers, damage windows durations or sometimes bosses even have ability damage increases like atheon. Using weapons on atheon is much less effective than on the witness for example

people rather compare 34000 damge per second to 21000 than 2.3m damage and 1.8m

Yeah because in that specific boss your abilities do alot more dmg. so using warlock with fusion grenades for exmaple and raid gear with correct mods lets you kill the boss within 1 phase super easily

I go to the well placed by team, use super, proc BnS if the weapon has it and just shoot at the enemy, trying to hit the crit spot

a toxicity free zone to run in, if its not you should really look for a different clan

the text channels here are really bad, the lfg channels are fine though

if you get used to the terminology here and act "accordingly" you should do fine

KWTD: know what to do (means only join if you are actually familiar with the activity)
chill: just a run to vibe, and get it done, no tryharding and mostly no toxicity unless you actually sabotage (which i doubt)

sherpa/teaching: a run where someone will run you through the activity and explain to you what to do and how its done generally

fresh: run from the start, so no checkpoints and stuff
fast/no chest: people will pull you to encounters, they expect you to do well on any role and have equipment ready and they will not be waiting for you to get secret chests/encounter loot will possibly just go to postmaster

no comms: normal run but no voice chat, communication through chat and strats slightly altered maby to fit that better, you are expected to know the roles and just vibe along

(except for special bosses that don't take damage normally, sometimes gotta get creative)

this season if you can get & finish the queensbreaker catalyst, plus get the last-column artifact perk that buffs fusions, it's easy mode for dps. use the 3-burst firing mode for DPS.

do any of that and you'll be totally fine

Given you're a hunter, boss compatibility for goldie/silence & squall/tether; your weapons and the specific perks they have; and the execution of your damage strategy (bait rotation vs proper reloading w smth like queenbreaker) all change how much damage you can squeeze in

If you refine your damage strategy and make sure you're using good weapons for damage, then the damage will come by itself

For any crit boss, queen breaker is much easier and will do about the same if not better than sleeper or whisper

Probably better off using GLs instead of apex since reconstruction got nerfed and is kinda clunky now for rotations
