my friend is telling me I need the echoes season pass to get access to the engram decryption thing in the helm room

I don't really understand, I have this season's pass which I got by buying the latest dlc a few days ago, but I don't have access to the decryption npc, what can I do?

have you completed mission meteoric on nessus?

it should be a quest step as well, after completing mission meteoric you unlock failsafe to focus echo engrams, i had this same problem a couple days ago

echoes isnt revenant

current season is revenant if you have that you can access this seasons focusing

echoes was last season meaning you would need to get final shape annual pass to buy that retroactively if you want access to that focusing
