The exotic quest that rewards you with Microcosm requires completing 3 repeatable legendary missions from campaign,

and in the first of them you meet an invulnerable miniboss (Berserker, Indoctrinated by the Witness) and other invulnerable objects around him,

#

which makes it impossible to progress through. So basically they locked half of the content behind timewalls and bugwalls. Awesome!

You have to take down the shields buddy

There are switches you have to hit at the same time that are impossible solo

Mechanics are also tweaked to make it not soloable

not only that, you will actually not be able to progress if you do not have a team as you will be required to pass a debuff that will kill you otherwise
