Damage rotation help

Hey guys I'm currently playing strand warlock with thorn, necrotic grips apex predator and indebted kindness.

When I run out of bns and ammo for should I ult then or do it before my bns? Should I go to thorn after I run out of ammo for bosses or go to IK?

Would Osteo Striga deal more dps than thorn? I have the catalyst for thorn done

you shouldnt use thorn/osteo and indebted. you dont need 2 ad clear weapons if your doing a dps rotation

i personally run witherhoard/cartesian/apex with necrotics but if you want a good ad clear for the encounter then witherhoard/indebted/apex would work fine too

or osteo/cartesian/apex

and yeah id wait to ult until ur out of rockets or phase is almost over

What would you recommend swapping indebted out for?

I liked using indebted mainly just for barrier stuff

cartesian coordinate or another solar special to surge match with apex for dps

if you like indebted tho you can use it but you should throw on scatter signal or witherhoard or izis or supremacy or some kinetic dps

For what I'm using now do I swap to thorn or kindness when out of heavy

backup specials like rapid fusion are good esp scatter signal. merciless is cracked on bosses but bad for ads, whereas scatter/riptide can kill champs and mobs and bosses

we often killed pantheon bosses from high range, so merciless/supremacy/succession/irukanji

Your Loadout is not optimal for dps to a boss, but it would look something like:

Indebted will do more damage than thorn overall. Thorn is better than osteo in dps, and you shouldn't use osteo outside of like... 1600 content.

You shouldn’t be using thorn outside of 1600 content either

I mean, it's definitely usable. Optimal? No. But you can use it with necrotics in higher level stuff 🤷

I ended up getting a really good roll on one last night so I'll be using thorn eremite apex

Thorn is a favourite gun of mine so I would like to keep that in my build

I just got the catalyst for it too which I'm really stoked about. I do have malfeasance with the catalyst but I'm not playing a hunter with the pants exotic so I don't think I should use it

it's also dumb to waste 2 exotics for a somewhat decent ad clear build

They just don't do very well against higher level enemies. They can... But it's not optimal at all, and you're just better off running other things.

But hey, if you wanna use it, use it. It is what it is 🤷🏻

i mean i find it fun and i only play the game with my friends really outside of gambit

What else works for strand warlock? i tried to find builds online that looked fun and this was pretty much the only one

Strandlock has one of the most effective dps rotations with grapple reload+super. You also have the swarmers build for making threadlings do tons of work in add clear and stuff!

also what exotic weapon to pair with swarmers?\

I was working on quicksilver storm catalyst because i saw that was decent for it
