Veteran D1 player finally entering D2, what do I do to catch up?

I am a new player to destiny 2 that loved destiny 1. Want to do raids and pantheon and basically all the awesome stuff but I'm stuck on what to do right now since my account is basically new and I don't know where to go

Basically I want to know what to do in my new character (what campains to do, what exotics to get, how to get better loot, how to get the right loot, and all of that, but I don't know how)

first go to hall of champions and get the 1810 gear from the chest near shaxx after that finish all the campaigns and exotic quests , you can get some exotics from ikora also by doing few quests iirc

i already have the 1810 gear, for all the campaigns you mean all the campaigns including like the timeline reflection?

Rn a warlock, but I am planning on creating a titan and hunter

Also, do you guys recommend onslaught and pantheon? Or do I save it for when I have better loot?

timeline reflection is just like a summary of all the expansions , by campaigns i mean finishing shadowkeep campaign , beyond light campaign , WQ and lightfall campaign and then doing respective exotic weapon quets

onslaught u can go ahead yea but pantheon would be a pain rn

Yeah thought so…and finally (sorry for so many questions) what weapons and armor (exotic or not) should I prioritize?

if your plan is to play onslaught and pantheon asap and you are warlock, then congratz you just become a well lock

-go to the hall and get 1810 gear

i dont know much about warlock exotics cuz i mostly play hunter but i think sunbracers is pretty good

and get the sunshot handcanon

-unlock all solar fragments and aspects asap

its really good for ad clear

-get a solar handcannon, preferably sunshot

-try to get sunbracers, legend lost sectors are doable with bare minimum of gear

-then go into onslaught till you get a decend edge transit and a succession

with sunbracers, sunshot, succ and edge you can do every raid in the game

its basic but it will do the job, get 100 resil aswell thats all you need stat wise

polaris lance is also pretty good this season u can get it from kiosk it helps a lot

Odds are you won't be able to get everything done in time, but it's worth doing anything timegated, like The Hall of Champions is going away next season so you should do a ton of Onslaught

To get the weapon quests done and rank up Shaxx to get the superblack shader behind him. (He also has a chest that allows you to pull weapons for 10 trophies each)

and most of the weapons have some very good endgame rolls

Im pretty sure the only thing going away related to hall of champions are the shiny drops

aswell as weapon focusing so its better to farm now, the whole hall will go i am pretty sure

Shiny drops will still be available but the entire hall of champions and everything related to it like weapon attunement will go along with the hall

genuinly do all the riven missions that mara sov gives you for wish tokens then use those to buy apex red borders
