Game is not opening

Hello,

Wanted some tech support help. I just reinstalled destiny 2 and the game refuses to launch.If people have ideas of how I can fix it please let me know. Im a windows 10 user on steam if that matters.

I’ve uninstalled the game, deleted battleye, deleted temp files and cleared prefs

Probably gpu, what gpu are you running?

You meet all minimum specs?

Yep. I’ve played the game before and just reinstalling it

If you do id update your drivers

A few times it did actually boot up (got 60 fps so prob not a min spec issue) and then it crashes and says I have corrupted files

Any specific ones or just all of them

Does it give you an error?

If so, what’s the error numbers/letters

Or whatever code

This one I fixed by de selecting “run as administrator”

Now it just fails to open

like d2 itself closes before the title screen or just doesn't open

The game just doesn’t open at all

How long do you wait before doing something about it?

Sometimes I get the battle eye launcher pop up thing but most of the time when I click the green play button nothing happens

do you mind getting into a vc rq, as this would take forever to type everything out

Idk, sometimes it takes a while to boot itself up

Unfortunately I’m at work but give me like an hour and a half then yes

Nah the button turns blue for a while and then it goes back to green again

Yeah try going to the gpu dev website and download drivers from there

Yeah that was something I didn’t try

I dunno why I didn’t think of that

If that doesnt work, you can go scorched earth and uninstall ALL of your drivers and then restart your pc

I just looked up the problem and someone on reddit said they had the same issue and they just had to disable a dupe audio driver

Destiny is such a weird game

Yeah my fix last time was… unconventional to say the least

Last time this happened I fixed it by running my game just off the cpu and not the gpu

just sent you a quick video with a small explanation on what to do if the video doesn't work

prob just steam being bad

or gpu drivers being buggy
