Raids DPS

I was doin kings fall for my first raid ever and was bein taught. I was the person w the lowest dps for each encounter by FAR.

Others had 1-3 mil dmg when I had like 500-1.2 mil damage.

I have power of 1770 and they all had like 1820. Is it that big of a difference?

Kings Fall is a 1600 raid so power does not matter

Maybe try getting a god roll Apex and learning some damage rotations

Kings Fall locks everybody at 1600 power

And thats probably your problem

You want to try and use heavy ammo weapons

Like rockets etc

Rocket does 60k I think

And sniper does 2 rounds per second w 44k

Doing the math I am pretty sure hte sniper is infinitely better

Yes but rocket launchers can roll with ALH and recon which allows you to shoot a rocket swap to your sniper then shoot the rocket again which increases your dps

Very good rotation, very easy to learn

for warpriest you can also levis him very easily and it does way more than whatever they were doing

oryx i recommend using levis or whisper

Both do really good damage (you need the catalyst)

or even the seasonal linear with recon/envious and percision instrument

Make sure you have the origin trait 2 artifact perk equipped tho

Gally itself does bad damage but its worth it in 6 mans because it buffs each rocket by around +21% damage iirc

for rockets i would either recommend getting an envious, bait and switch cold comfort (from ghosts of the deep), a reconstruction, bait and switch apex predator (from last wish)

or an auto loading, explosive light hothead (engram focusing at zavala)

Just in case others haven't said it, your super matters, surges matter, mods matter, etc.

On oryx I've hit 5 mil with grand overture and arc hunter, so you don't need strictly meta

Rocket dps, you need a rocket with explosive light, b&s, or some other damage boosting perk. Period.

Sniper dps, kinetic tremors supremacy and izi he4 are king

Linear fusions? 4th times + firing line for raids works wonders, other things like focused fury and b&s also work.

Basically though, solid dps = right damage method, surge mods, super (optional), damage boosting perks, debuff, and buff.

U dont have a DPS Build, U dont have any Idea of DMG Swaps, and Proper Rotations / God Rolls. Thats why u do low dmg.

It sounds like you need to get better with execution then, rockets are strong even without any help (as long as you have the right perks)
