Just loaded in and I have never felt more lost, whats the best way I can get up to speed with the game, story lore what to do etc? Cheers

Play the campaigns

Witch Queen is on Savathuns Throne World and the new campaign is on Neptune

My advice would be, start with mars/throne world do the first quest to unlock crafting

#

Then do whatever you want, dares of eternity is a good way to get amazing craftable weapons like wastelander shotgun and the other half sword for fast movement

Fastest way to get up to speed is timeline reflection.

It’s under destinations, the symbol on the top right corner.

Timeline reflection highlights the one defining mission for each campaign/expansion.

You left off at Beyond Light, so 30th Anniversary, Witch Queen and Lightfall.

30th anniversary is just Dares of Eternity, you can do it once, then it’s more of a weekly thing.

You could just finish the whole Witch Queen Campaign if you want to, but if you’re going for speed, then Lightfall has better activities after the campaign (since it is the latest campaign).

You will need to do the first quest (First Contact) before you gain access to Neptune.

#

Both Witch Queen and Lightfall has a legendary difficulty for the campaign (new thing after Beyond Light).

Oh to add on you might need the seasonal artifact and i think that requires to do a quest too

I am assuming 1600 is the new lowest light? All my gear has been set to that so assuming thats the case?

If you’re doing the Lightfall campaign on legend difficulty, by the end of it, you’re awarded a full set of 1770 gear.

Also do suggest doing the campaigns on legend difficulty at some point cause they give you pretty good exotics at the very end

You’ll probably be at 1750 right before the end of it

Juz by killing stuff in the campaign

It took me a day to reach 1700 from 1600. Less than a week to hit 1770, 3 weeks to hit 1800 and 5 weeks to reach 1810.

Considering I missed some pinnacle drops in between, I’m sure a lot of people did it faster.

Ok things have definitely sped up progression wise then

Once you have a character at pinnacle cap, then you can buy weekly exotics from Xur of other classes

#

Then infuse them into other classes

#

I reached 1807 on my Warlock in a day
