What's the best way to farm Playlist drop catalysts or increase their drop chance? High difficulty nightfalls? Wait for mayhem to be in rotation?

Playlist means you have to launch Vanguard Ops, not a specific strike. With regards to Crucible, any mode will do, and Gambit is just Gambit

Unless it says "Found in strikes against the most challenging opponents" you just have to launch Vanguard Ops and get lucky

Though the above quote ("...the most challenging opponents") just means Nightfalls of any level (even Hero)
