#Optimal Way to Farm Essence of the Oversoul to obtain Necrochasm?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Sometimes I can go entire runs of Crota's End and only get 1 for over an hour time investment. Are there any better ways to farm them? I really just want to get the gun finished and never go back.
full runs
are by far the best option because you have a chance of alot of essence if you kill crota after a full run
CP farming isn't worth it, unless you also want to farm spoils or something specific
god
I wish runs through the raid were smoother
Is the fight still only clearable for essence once per week?
You get 2 per Encounter, per week, per character. Additionally you can grab the quest from the Archive to have the same progress as a character that has the quest
They increased the rate then, that's nice. But that still means I can only get 8 on one character this week... I don't have my other two characters geared really at all, so I can't really rely on using them.
Is it guaranteed 2 per encounter? Or still just a low chance?
The above is guaranteed once per week. After your first clear of each encounter on that character, it becomes random chance
I'd suggest doing Strikes to get up to (1750) soft cap > Bounty Farming to get those Tier 2 Powerful from Tower Vendors to get to (1800)
Oh! So it's possible to get it all this week...
Side note: Random bounties also count towards the 8 bounty requirement, not just weekly bounties
I'll try to get a group together later today then. I just hope we don't get stuck on the first encounter for a super long time because of people rushing again, haha.
Yeah it can be frustrating. I highly recommend Strand + Grapple Grenade + E. Edge Sword to get around quickly
Navigator (Strand Trace from GotD) with its catalyst can also help you get around, as it can create grapple points every 30s
Funnily enough, it's the opposite issue. People use those to get around quickly, then go too fast and careless and die.
My runs almost always go better when people just do the mechanic the slow way.
Really depends on the people, as long as you've done the encounter enough to know about where the holes are, it becomes quite easy (at least for me)
