Are certain exotics only available for the first time from legend lost sectors, google gave an unclear answer

Exotics from beyond light and forward require either legend/master lost sector completion or vex strike force to obtain a copy first
Vex strike force works on a knock out system that can drop all pieces. The lost sector has a specific slot that can drop each day
Each class also has an exotic that can only drop first from completion of the Shadowkeep campaign on each character
