so I just got back into destiny 2, the last time I played was when witch queen first came out I was wondering once I finish lightfall what power and gear should I get so I can get back into raids

1800 should be good enough. Try to get a good rocket launcher for DPS. Cold Comfort and Apex Predator are the best, but Blowout and Hothead are easier to get and will be just fine.

haven’t played the dungeon that came out with deep but i’ve heard good things about it

It drops the aforementioned Cold Comfort, a special ammo stasis wave frame, aggressive solar SMG, and a rapid fire solar glaive. Up to you to say if it's worth it though
