Seasonal Pattern Weapons (Red Border)

So I got red border seasonal weapons dimantled and didnt get any progress for the pattern. Do I actually need to extract the pattern and then dismantle? I've just wasted so many red border weapons.

I think I dismantled two or 3 of em an hour ago or so

yea I can't find anything conclusive tbh, I just never broke down items before extracting this season since it did change from the way it was before and figured better safe than sorry

thanks for letting me know all online it says dismantling is okay but it seems its not

it may be but even if it is, can't hurt to pull it first THEN dismantle is my opinion
I know it USED to work, but that was pre-lightfall and with the system change I went with the safest option lol

Im looking at an iterative red in my inv and it says dismantling is fine

id give it a shot and check rq but its compulsive voltshot and I feel like thats an ok roll

I swear it worked on one weapon, but all the others i dont have progress for at all
