In most endgame scenarios other than raids and dungeons, so like master/gm lost sectors or nightfalls, ammo economy is a big problem, especially if you're running something like a heavy gl or rl.
Linears completely remove that problem with their insane ammo economy.
Another question.
Since you can apply weapon surge mods to any element now even if it doesn't match, would it still be more useful to run a bad roll on something that's same element as your subclass, than, say, a god roll taipan?
No
oh sorry my first question was are linears still worth using in end game activities
they are, given the void ammo mod probably won't be more so til next season though
Yup
Your entire team needs to be running them for them to be good and you’ll want a div for stuff like rhulk
Rockets are better, but if you want linears to use just run cataclysmic
All the others have horrid ammo economy or deal significantly worse damage
even more so in things like gms right
since pure dps matters less and ammo economy more?
In GMs you want a surge-appropriate RL since (assuming you’re not with awful lfg teams) there’s someone on void Hunter running aeons to make 30 billion ammo bricks
no.
to both
It kinda depends, for something like rhulk or caretaker (especially master mode) or explicator, Linears are better. But there are so many pieces of endgame content that lose to rockets, especially with starfire
ur just lying.like wtf 😭
Linears are good when there isn’t much consistent ammo and the boss has a lot of health
Bruh explorator crit multiplier is crazy, and rockets vs rhulk is meh
I guess caretaker rockets r fine
