New Player Farming

As a very new player to Destiny 2, I was wondering if there are certain activities that I can farm to get decent gear (possibly exotics also). My average power level gear is currently at 1552.

We’re in a pretty long season right now so I’d say farm weekly dungeons and do your powerfuls and pinnacles to increase your light level so that you can do legend lost sectors and get exotics

Some people will tell you not to do pinnacles since you’re not at the pinnacle cap which is 1570 but at this point we’ve got so much season left that it really doesn’t matter

thanks for the info. are there specific weekly dungeons that I should do?

I’d recommend farming duality and then when prophecy comes around farm that they both have the best overall weapons imo
