I’m honestly heartbroken to see Destiny 2 come to an end. This game was a huge part of my childhood and helped me through some of the hardest years of my life. When I felt lost, struggling mentally, and barely holding on, this game gave me somewhere to escape to.

The memories, friends, raids, music, and late nights meant more to me than words can explain. Destiny 2 wasn’t just a game to me — it was there when I needed it most. Thank you to everyone who was part of the journey.

Being good at PVP had no real incentive well before I dropped, which sucked. Rewards like the Flawless title were made trivial to earn etc.
Raids were still dope as hell, but Root was pretty weak in terms of difficulty.
GMs had a pretty severe power creep problem.
Casual PVE, the stuff the largest part of their playerbase did, was basically gutted. They removed several campaigns, new planetary destinations were not as interesting in the last 2 expacs, and the portal made it so you basically never had to go to a planet to do something imo. Fewer Strikes etc.

But man, those raids were dope

D2 at the start was kinda barebones, people were missing a lot of stuff from D1, there was a lot of work needed doing to improve it. Forsaken saved D2 a year later

Red war was a fun campaign, but D2 really didn't pop off till Forsaken. Before that, the game was kinda mid in terms of progression and content.

they made a huge deal out of you losing your light and you lose it for like half a level

Forsaken might be the best expansion any game has ever gotten. it made d2 go to like a 9/10 from a 4/10
