How to do power grind in d2 nowadays?
Just reached 450, not sure if portal will drop higher power now at what cap

customize the portal activity, make sure to choose the highest difficulty for you ( should be Grandmaster or Ultimate ) and add enough negative modifiers to reach A or A+ on the projected score

the power grind to 540 is completely fine, though slower than before 450

but 540 - 550 is a crawl

Focus on activities with bonus engrams first, each of those is a power gear. Snowball fights are a chilled out activity as they'll give you guaranteed power gear without worrying about loadouts but can be relatively slower

Else, return to caldera, probably still the fastest farm now that matchmade reclaim is not always available

the new dungeon offers feats (challenges) that you can add to modify the game to get better rewards and make it harder

if you want ascendant shards you can farm that for it, with higher feats you have a higher chance of getting ascendent shards on top of prisms

i reccomed 4 feat since that was most consistant but you will see more prisms and shards have a lower drop rate

Old names may still be there but you no longer need pinnacles to do the last stretch, regular portal drops work just fine and can get you to 550
