Catalyst gives bait and switch which increases damage by 30% if you hit with all 3 weapons. You're anyway going to use mint anyway so why not. You just lose that bonus if you don't have catalyst but it's still a solid passive dps option with scorch effects

Has its uses, you could always use solid passive damage or use it lock an area. Purely optional. Where it really shines is with bosses who keep on moving and it's difficult to crit. Turret can track bosses and always hit while you use mint or something else for dps

Tbh, I did second boss with my warlock arc build, then getaway artist build, then I used wolfbane, so there is plenty of ways to do alot of damage, if you are struggling, then you are doing it wrong or you have a skill issue

I personally miss the days of Vow, where we didnt have loadout swaps. You just went in with the best guns you had and even the average joe could still contribute.

And that contest mode was still pretty hard

Id also argue that older contest modes were far more lenient on your dps rotation, you just had to not be idle or dead. So long as you dumped like...the top 5 exotics at the boss, it was doable.

i think i main issue with the "legendary" campaigns now is that they arent really structured as missions that have a difficulty modifier, majority of renegades was the seasonal activity

I guess my general standing on Destiny's balance is I wish stuff was less stressful. DIFFICULT, but not STRESSFUL. I wouldnt mind lowering the skill ceiling on our highest difficulties more, and raising the skill floor on some of our lower difficulties

If you wanna 3 phase him comfortable, compelling all 5 is basically necessary afaik

cause killing one adds a higher threshold so you can do more damage, but cuts your dps time down
