Yes, you keep on moving continuously. Hellion at 200 grenade has insane single target damage and takes care of shielded enemies as well. You could try bleakwatcher as well

Yes, Dungeons all have their own drops tables, different encounters can drop different things, with the final boss being the one that can drop the dungeon exotic. Dungeon keys need to be bought with Silver from the Eververse.

All dungeons can be done solo, even if it's increadibly difficult. But yes, most dungeons still get ran semi-reguarly. Sundered Doctrin for one has one of the strongest exotics currently. And Ghosts of the Deep's is another strong one, but for different reasons.

Dungeons that don't have exotics are the first three. They don't have exotics you can earn from completing them, but Xenophage is unlocked inside of Pit of Heresy.

No, all of the dungeon key ones aren't tied to story completion as far as I'm aware.

Shattered Throne and Prophecy too. It's just Pit of Heresy and Equilibrium that require campaign completion.

Nah, there's a lot of stuff out there to grind too. Dungeons are just another thing you can grind. There's always the gear chase, and getting your power up. Example of some non-dungeon/raid grinds is people grinding for the red lightsaber crystal by invading in Renegades.

Yes and no. You can do them, but except to get old gear that isn't as powerful as newer gear. Some items are 'enhancable', meaning you can upgrade them to be a bit better and closer to modern weapons. But old armor in general is inferior.
