Morbius Quiver is doing the highest damage, but requires the most investment, needing you to do damage before your second and third shot. Blade Barrage does the highest burst DPS, but only at close range. Celestial and Star Eater goldie are doing about the same damage.

So, there's been a big adjustment with Edge of Fate. They redesigned the UI to be more accessible with the "Portal" system. The problem is they overwhelmingly designed too much of the game around it and it caused lots of problems. People got upset.

Don't think so. Requires placement matches to open up the pool. But then it will drop normally. And you'll get access to the new good stuff too.

As for what to do, @silent heart , I wouldn't stress. Play through Edge of Fate to get an understanding of the story and exploration of the new arc. Then enjoy Renegades as a fun treat afterwards to the new seasonal weapons.

The new exotics are fun, and you should play at your own pace while increasing your power. Try to find an armor set that interests you, as the effects are pretty darn fun. You can even mix and match to have two minor effects at the same time.

Also, all of the blaster weapons generally perform the same as their normal counterparts. The SMG, sidearm, and pulse all fall in line. The hand cannons, however, don't. The sniper is a completely new frame as well, so there's no reference point for it.

Withering Gaze is what enabled it, as it applies Weaken. There was a scout rifle that got Withering Gaze, so you'd just drop a barricade, get Bolt Charge, and just hard scope with it.

Yeah, shattering the crystal should scale with melee damage. Crystals are the source that made them, so weapons, grenade, etc.
