You can check the modifiers before an activity starts, if you want high scores this is what you should expect to see modifier wise, at least for the negative ones

(deadly threat element and famine may change depending on the activity, like heliostat doesn't have famine for example)

its accommodating to most builds I did it on hunter but titans seem to do much better excel in the high tier stuff. the main thing about the hypernet mission is using the batteries that drop from minotaurs to melt the tormentor and final boss

for titan the heals you get from stacking knockout with the heal on melee fragment and consecrate spam are usually the go-to builds I see

Matchmade. There are 3 activities but only 1 is matchmade while call to arms event runs. If you know how to clear activities it'll be very efficient. Typically you need to clear 2 activities each in 3 regions before getting the boss

Most of them were streamers or people who play the game like a full time job and ran out of content, in part supported by player stats post edge of fate. Grinding (stupid RNG, light level gatekeeping) isn't the same as actually playing to get good gear (e.g. adept weapons or artifice armor)

400 to 450 before ash and iron was just a test of how much artificial grind without investing in content Bungie could actually get away with. Corrections since were evidence majority of player base isn't as gullible as Bungie thought, 500 to 550 (last 50 levels) can be done in a few hours now

Put the highest modifiers and you can reach 1% in proving ground, heliostat and coil. Salt mines still depends on whether high value target decides to grace you (10% otherwise). Crucible is more complex as you need all medals in the same game so probably depends more on who you're playing with

Clear and you'll be in 1%. Timing matters but not that much. In salt mines you need HVT in addition to these. Use skill heavy builds and you'll be ok. Just need to do once

Also depends on what you're aiming for. 1% score in any activity guarantees you the helmet even if you do nothing else. 2 and you've the emblem. Scores are frozen so once you're in 1% or 10% you can't slide

Seasonal challenges give a major XP boost. Weekly challenges on planets also grant significant XP and some of them can be done pretty fast and once on each character. Also take any daily ones which will get completed while completing weekly
